Another extremely interesting interview. She is just a bundle of energy and inspiration. Thank you for bringing so many talented makers to your quilt circle to share with all of us. Much appreciated. Would not know about any of them without your interviews.
Thoroughly enjoyed this! I too am a quilter who had a career in Bio Medical Research. There are so many parallels. Learning someting new all the time, and determination to get an experiment to work no matter how long it takes. The payoff is tremendous. You are over tthe moon when it finally does works. Quilting fills that need in me now that I am retired. Valerie is an inspiration!
Wonderful interview! 😊 A few years ago a friend was in poor health and gave me some of her scrap quilt fabric including a box of flannel. I came across the small box of flannel fabric and looked inside. It's packed full of many fabrics all cut in a shape I didn't know. I didn't know what to call it to look it up. After watching this interview I now know it's a tumbler block 😅. I now have great ideas for the fabric and I'm excited to get started as soon as I finish the quilt I'm helping my handicapped son finish.😍 Thank you for the interesting interview and the answer I've been searching for.
This interview is one that really resonated with me! I am in the same predicament, wondering what to do in the retirement phase of my life! I love her passion and her mindset about life in general!! Thank you, Karen, you never fail in giving us great interviews!!
Thank you Karen for another great interview. Quilters come in all makes and models. I used to be a truck driver, then a full time Mom and then a Public Health Nurse. I helped my husband with his welding too. That first grand child turned me into a quilter. 😊❤
What a nice interview, Karen! Valerie is so kind to let us in to her thoughts and ideas. She seems to be someone I would love to know, learn from and be inspired by. Thanks again!
I enjoyed this video so much, that I watched it twice! I appreciate hearing Valerie Prideaux's story of how she came to making tumbler quilts, her book, and much more. I bought her book not long ago, and got it out last night. This time I paid more attention to her writings about color, and not just the how-to's for making tumbler quilts. She really gives us a lot to think about, and design. Thanks so much for introducing us to Valerie, and her tumbler quilts!
Great interview Karen! Congratulations Valerie on your 1st book ! Thank you also for all your hard work for Quilts at the Creek years. Wouldn't that make a super book. ❤ I've put in a request to my guild librian that we need a copy! 👍
Interesting interview. One block tumbler quilt is a new concept for me. I am going to think about making one for myself. Thanks for all your fascinating guests.
@@JustGetitDoneQuilts well you know people do videos to show how to make patterns they sell and we wouldn’t have to watch the video multiple times or take notes
Oh my goodness. As I’m sitting here, listening to this interview, I am tearing my paper away from my foundation paper piecing the blocks…. The quilt that I’m working on right now is a submission to Heritage Park for their quilt show and it’s going to be for their 65th anniversary.

Love it when you find your passion, what a gift from God.
Wow I am in love with the green quilt on the wall - what a beautiful piece of art. Thank you for the inspiration ❤

Wonderful interview!
Loved this interview. ❤
Fascinating. Thanks!
Karen, You should do a book on stash buster quilts. It would be fun to have them all in the same place. Spiral bound.
Really…after they are available for free

Really interesting interview. Valerie's quilt to the left of our screen reminds me of batik yardage. I like how it all blends together.
