I totally agree with the use of the Bill Lewis lipless crank baits. So much fun. We should compare tooth marks on baits. Northerns and Bass love them. Merry Christmas! God Bless.
I was expecting a Wacky Rig to be on the list, especially for docks. Nothing else really surprised me. Thank you for the 2024 tackle summary. Merry Christmas!
The lipless , chatter bait, weightless stick bait and white spinner bait were all catching fish but the lipless caught me the most. Be safe and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
The Bill Lewis Hammer trap was a big player for me this past spring. I ordered a few after you had a video on them, and it paid off. The only surprise for me was the Ozark rig. From the sounds of it you are using it where I might be throwing a wacky rig. That makes a lot of sense to me now that I think about it. Thanks for the tips and have a Merry Christmas.
Matt, I would highly suggest you try a 6" Senko on the Ozark Rig 1/8oz. 4/0 hook. I caught numbers & LM bass (up to 8lbs) on it. I catch a lot of LM bass on a black-blue or black-blue-purple jig with the Yamamoto Double Tail Grub: smoke with black & purple flake. I use it on swim jigs, casting/flipping jigs. This trailer gives the jig a completely different look that the bass are not seeing & they will bite it. I'm down to my last bag. Is there any way to get Yamamoto to bring this color back? NE KS, NW MO area
I had a better year on the Ozark rig then I have had on a regular texas rig in a long time and the bill Lewis floating jerkbait i caught some nice ones on in 2024
Hey Matt, what are your thoughts on the Bill Lewis ATV cranks? I bought 3 of them because they are supposed to be pracically snap proof and there's nothing worse than losing a crankbait on some brush, etc. Anyway Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! Crazy how very few baits get the job done but we have waaaaaay to much tackle.
Merry Christmas!

That's a killer combo! I love the double tail grub too, I'll see if they bring back that color.
@@MattBeckerFishing Thanks
Thx. Great stuff as always.
Ozark Rig - I worry about hookup/landing ratio with such a small hook gap.
Thoughts?
I was worried about that as well, but I’ve had no issues with hook up!
What size flapping hog are you using on the Ozark rig?
That’s the regular size in the video, which I use more, but I do use the LG size as well

The Ozark rig is a sleeper for sure!

They are build to handle the abuse for sure! I’m not a huge squarebill guy, but I do like the ATV!
