I can relate to this video soo much, especially that sometimes university isn’t the best time of your life, and the huge amount of pressure to drink and go to nightclubs. I have never been to a single nightclub and I am not a big drinker so I found it quite difficult to make friends. Loneliness at university is very real, I have been very isolated since starting. I’m now (almost) at the end of my 2nd year and it has got a bit better but university is still something I do not love.

I am in my final year of computer science at university and it is safe to say I had really high expectations from this experience in the beginning. I envisioned myself meeting a lot of people and taking full advantage of any experience that crossed my doorstep. However, that couldn't have been further from the truth. In short, I have outgrown myself countless times and have overcome some of the biggest challenges I have ever faced. Although loneliness has often creeped in, I have never allowed myself to give in to my fears and now find myself a couple months away from graduation. It has been a wild ride with numerous ups and downs, but one thing I will always be grateful for is the valuable lessons I have learnt along the way! To anyone finding themselves in a similar situation, keep pushing! It will all be worth it in the end! 👍

as italian student, i do agree with you bro. everything seems super cool at uni cuz that's what people mostly wanna show us(for instance , very groovy Ig stories where everynight people go party); but i do think that underneath it , there's a lot of work ( i mean , people are not used to sharing their burnouts with study , right?) That being said , go break a leg with ur uni life !!
and THAT IS OK. I can honestly say university has been some of the best and worse experiences of my life, I have thought of dropping out of my masters multiple times now I am near the end now I look forward to taking time for myself! yes growing up is hard.
Another great video Folkert, and I hope you aren’t too lonely, I know it is an extra challenge moving to Berlin but it will all payoff and the positives outweigh the negatives 😊

Let me tell you about one of my favorite places in Berlin and why. There is a cemetery (Georgen-Parochial-Friedhof I) in Berlin Friedrichshain (at Tram Station "Am Friedrichshain"- there are some lines from Alexanderplatz). I often was there while being in the self-service laundry. I loved that place because there are some older graves and the gravestones are telling stories if you are able to listen. When you feel lonely the next time, try to find some time and get there. Be sure I will be there as well, you won't be lonely!

Should I take a 10 month gap year or 15 month gap year ? Im doing my A2 exam this may june and will be applying to Japanese university and they have 2 entry date which is April and September

After 3y of university I still feel lonely and don't have close friends there and there are numerous days when I feel sad.
