- Today we check out a game made by Rebellion called "Strange Brigade" and ask the question is it good in 2020/21, considering i have never played this game before this video it also doubles up as a first honest impressions review, So what is this this game? Me and 3 friends have put a few hours into this in the campaign mode. The difficulty definitely ramps up and we are having a blast. The puzzles get more difficult as well.

Back in the days of Mixer I used to stream the hell out of this game. Nobody really watched lmao but I loved playing the game!
It is fun to play just wish it was a little harder gameplay-wise, also I totally already forget about Mixer lol

I actually used this game to help me with other games. You almost have to head shot all the enemy's and this taught me to aim for the head for all shooters.
Honestly I think we're kind of spoiled with videogames today. Almost every videogame that releases has some sort of deep and meaningful storyline built into it. However I remember as a kid when there were videogames you literally just popped in and played with your best friends. This is a throwback to those games for me. By itself I can see it getting slightly tedious (although I'm OBSESSED with pulp adventure stories so I never get bored) but with one or two of your closest friends it's an absolute blast. Me and my best friend played it tonight for over 4 hours just having a ball, and if you're a casual gamer like us where we work massively long days and don't have time to put into a massive campaign this game perfectly fits that "plug and play" aspect.
I appreciate your point of view, thanks for sharing, it helps to get a mix of opinions, like you said it's a decent game to kill a few hours on casually with friends and I agree it has it's place. after this video I played more with friends and found it a little more fun that way
@@TekEvolved It's definitely 100% more fun with friends. Especially friends you're close with and trust (random multiplayer tbh gets a tad annoying). If you get 2 or 3 really good friends to play online with you the game becomes a blast. Especially if you love The Mummy and old school 1920s type adventure. Me and my bro make the joke that Strange Brigade is just basically if The Mummy and DnD had a child 🤣

Got the Deluxe Edition for $7.99. Was hard to pass on that because they give you a ton (3 full DLC & about 10-20 armor/weapons/and unique characters) of content. I’ve only played it as a single player, but it’s very enjoyable. I feel it would be best played in co-op though.

The base game is worth it, It's a fun game especially if you have friends that play on multiplayer, the difficulty also does get better on-line recently played with a friend here on PC, but yeah have a look around at other videos too, for the best-rounded view of the game and thanks for the comment

Me and my buddies have been playing a lot of Zombie Army 4 together, and decided itll be fun to look for more co-op oriented shooters. I was looking around and a few titles caught our attention. Aliens: Fireteam Elite, World War Z, Zombie Army Trilogy, and finally this.
Im definitely waiting for a sale to grab it. The numerous references to it in Zombie Army 4 and Sniper Elite, plus being made by Rebellion is enough to catch my attention. I just wanna get it on sale

Strange Brigade meets Star Trek, star citizen & elite dangerous
it's $7 AUD on steam for me right now. i'm considering it.
I love this game - and I've never played MP. SP all the way for me. The art is gorgeous, the setting fantastic, the gameplay loop addictive, and I never tire of playing it. The humour is camp - real 'Boys Own' stuff, very tongue-in-cheek, which gives Strange Brigade a unique style. The DLCs add three new massive multipart maps - all of them absolutely gorgeous visually, with more characters and weapons to fool about with. A true gem from Rebellion - I hope they one day follow this up with a sequel - the British Empire spanned the globe at its height, so there are plenty of creative and geographic possibilities!
I like it a lot. Its on like a 90% off sale this Winter Sale on steam (2021) so I am buying it for a few friends as I only ever got to play single player and this seems like one that would be way better with friends.
Must be honest i saw this game for so long lyuing at a pawn shop and one day something triggered me to buy it love it its really not bad at all although im still busy with Valhala 😂
I'm playing it on Switch, just like Sniper Elite 4. Rebellion really know how to make a really fun, great looking, smooth running co-op third person shooter on Switch, with great gyro aim as well, and fun weapon upgrading and collectibles for replayability. Story not so much.
I'm thinking of grabbing this for switch can you play offline?

Thanks for the review, Unfortunately the game has the potential to have an amazing idea but it was on the arcade side which is just shooting .. And not on the Lore and RPG side, to bring complex puzzles and riddles I'm looking for games like that and Strange Brigade looks like it won't satisfy me with my friends.. Save From Brazil :)

Tbh tho zombie army trilogy gets far too difficult near the end for solo. Not enough ammo enemies take far to many hits.
I kind of like the feeling of getting overwhelmed and having no hope to stay alive then clutching up, saving traps for late game, in Strange Brigade I often run around without thinking about strategy, it has it's place if you intend to chill and switch off for an hour, and don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, but a little tougher would have been nice though

How’s single player?
It's okay, played it till the end, i was hoping for more challanging puzzles but it's definately more focused on the arcade shooting aspect and found the story fun because of the narrative and voice acting but ultimately not the most replayable thing i've experienced it's worth a shot if on sale.

Tek Evolved does not support the use of game exploits ;) haha but Teaming up and earning trophies together is a great way to make friends xD

To easy....hmmm... well that's what a real weapon does. Not having to shoot multiple times tu put down an enemy.
This isn't real life it's a fantastical themed shooter game, choosing real over the gameplay experience it's a bad choice in my opinion, thanks for the comment

before doing a review play it in the max difficulty then speak about it.
I did and the horde mode doesn't give you the option,, when comparing to games such as the zombie army series, there is less of a learning curve to beat the game, it's just what I thought, don't be offended if you find the game challenging, but by design, it's clearly meant to be a bit of a run and gun arcade game and yes I have tried it now in multiplayer and it does get a little harder but I stick to my review :)
