Great video 👍. I must admit the OYZ boys are giving me great inspiration too, as well as the wonderful videos from Donny Wilcox. I look forward to seeing more videos with this boat 👍
@@AirbornePirates It’s certainly a great addition as it gives you two options. I love my 3.8 Honwave and as you say you can get to places that you wouldn’t with a lager boat. Saying that,I’m going to look at an Arvor 190 this weekend. Something a little more comfortable 🙂 but I’ll definitely keep my 3.8 👍
I love your dedication. It's hailing !!! I was so obsessed with wind surfing at one point I went out on a lake in March and it hailed. It felt like someone was throwing gravel at my back :)
they are a bonus to own, you will be able to get in much shallower water up tidal creeks, mud flats, well anywhere where your boat hull would be damaged or just too shallow. its already been mentioned about the extendable tiller, highly recommended, but lets be honest for a mo, your not going to want for bow weight for long, a camping kit, fresh water, fishing catch and cook kit, and the list goes on, most importantly, enjoy.
We had a Quicksilver almost identical in every way. Inflatable bottom, and carrying bag the lot. We used to put it in the back of our VW Transporter camper van when we went to Devon.
Great boat. I also have a sib. I recommend launch wheels that attach to the transom. Easier, faster and more compact than the trolley. I see your hull extends beyond the transom, which limits the options, but it exists at least one model that will fit your boat. Cheers
neat little rocket! cool fold up trailer but I prefer the wheels that mount on the transom and flip up out of the water. no trailer to store after you float it and the wheels are always with you :)
@@AirbornePirates oh yes, I didn't think of that. making offsets would be too much of a faf. the worlds smallest trolley wins! hopefully there are more fish this year and the rocket gets lots of action :)
Try getting a tiller extension and sitting a bit further forward to even it out on the plane. I have a 330 and found i get better weight distribution that way
I have a name idea for your new boat. Both the Isle of Man and your quest to find sharks is in the Irish Sea. The closest Irish/ Gaelic word for shark is Siorc. However if like a lot of mariners you wish to feminise the name of your vessel you could call it Siorca, even though that is not technically a word. May you have many exciting adventures in it.
Tiller extension and add trim tab extensions or outboard foil for fuel efficiency and earlier planing. Good choice not getting an elevated floor catamaran, they plane poorly and are fuel thirsty
Since you can stash it in the car, why not find a river or lake, somewhere you can't go with the other boat. Find that pike living in the ditch or overgrown water, or do some freshwater snorkeling;)
Hi there brilliant video, I’m looking at getting the same set up, do you need any kind of license and or are there any restrictions to hold one back? Thanks
@@traveladdict4884 In the UK you need a licence and insurance for the canals and some rivers. The CRT. Canal and river trust. You can not use it in locks , or tunnels, and there are very few public launch ramps. Reservoirs and lakes are owned by the Water authorities and most do not allow powered watercraft on them. Which leaves you with the sea. Enjoy. :)
Look into launching wheels instead of that bulkier trailer. Launching wheels basically turn your entire boat into it's own self contained hand trailer. And they are easier to deploy too.
Hi. I bought an inflatable boat recently. This is my first one, my knowledge about the topic is quite limitied. I heard that folding back in its case and inflate again is not good for the glued part nor the whole boat itself. Mine is quite old (maybe that was the reason the guy sold it ) and after three folding it started to deflate really fast at the endcones, the glueing got loose. I chose this type of vessel because I have only a caravan, so I can transport it easily, but I heard that the proper storage is to keep them inflated all the time and protect from sun (especially the PVC ones). A professional repairman told me these, and that they are coming in a bag folded because it take up less space during transport. Does anybody have thoughts about this? Thanks.
I've folded mine lots, but mine are less than 2 years old so probably still fairly limber, some people leave there's inflated on trailers. might be a better option for you.
@@AirbornePirates Yes, leaving it inflated is a better option for me, but I think it is already too late: I bought a nice outboard only for my money. 🙂😢 The repairman told me to get Zodiac boats, because they are not glued, but welded. But I'm really happy with my boat. It is so nice that I can take it wherever I want by myself without any tailer or any other kind of help.
You've used the word before, and I keep meaning to ask... Is it "gucci" or a local/ Liverpool slang "coochy" ? ( when you described the trailer at the start of the vid). Hello! And cheers.
Word of advice to anyone wanting this. Assemble off the ramp. You’ll probably be told off if you do all this on the ramp. These things are only like 100lbs so they are moveable.
Would you give details on the trolley? What and where would I search for one, as I have a similar rig, but its a bugger for me and my misses to get it down to the water via the local ramps. This looks like the real deal we could employ
AWESOME, I can't wait to see what you do with your inflatable boat! we should race to the isle of Whithorn
Cheers lads! Race is on!
Stupidest thing you’ve ever bought? More like most epic!! Up the OYZ!

Cheers for that, it confirmed everything I was hoping. Ideal for camper van travel. Enjoy.
Stunning work and tutorial. Thank you for sharing your story.
No way! Love the outside your zone sib content and now you have one! So great
Thanks so much! Cracking bits of kit
Well done!!!! Used ours 1st time today!!! So great! Enjoy...great video. Thx...South Africa
Cross the Irish Sea like OYZ
Worth getting a tiller extension and get your weight forward. Will bring the bow down and fly faster 👍

15 mins with electric pump

I have a question regarding the V-deck - if you drive fast does the deck bent inwards near transom? Or does it retain the V-shape?
Yes it’s solid 👍
Is it the 330 v deck or the 380?

Can you easly stand up fishing with airdeck even without rigid floor?
I believe so, I’ve stood up in mine before but not as stable as the ally floor. You could put some gym style matting down and try that

12v electric pump, it can be done via a hand operated Paddleboard style pump
Bin bag full of sand to weight the front down
