Instead of working on my own game I just spend the last half hour playing this. The last hop into the frying pan took me so many attempts. Its possible to completely launch yourself into the void behind where you start, and if so you fall forever!
I absolutely love how light and comical this game idea was. Sometimes you can take something as simple as an egg and turn it into a wonderful/creative idea. Subscribed!
Amazing video! I appreciate all of the animations, those must take so long to make. The game looks great, too. Cool stuff all around. I originally came here because TH-cam told me this was one of the top videos suggesting my content hahaha. Subscribed, keep up the good work!
In order to stop the objects going invisible when the camera gets too close, I recommend decreasing the clipping plane as much as possible under the camera properties
Really cool video, the game turned out pretty nice! :D I also participated, was a really fun experience, cool to see how some other entries were made! And Left you a sub, keep going! :D
@@JelleVermandere Haha that's true. I loved this video and game by the way, this is probably my favorite Ludum Dare game that I've seen on TH-cam this year honestly
I have to admit this is a very cool idea, I wonder why you don't have more subscribers already, your content is really well produced! I would be interested in your Blender to Unity workflow, I've been working with Blender for several years and am just starting to learn a bit of C#, but haven't found the perfect way to add my Blender objects with shaders to Unity yet. How do you go about it? I saw that you made the egg texture with the shader graph from Blender, did you UV unwrapped the egg and baked the shader as a texture? If you could do a tutorial about this it would be really cool, I would also buy a Udemy course from you :D
Thank u! Yes, first I unwrap the objects, then I bake all the textures into separate maps. Where I remap each node to an emit shader and bake the emission, I do this for each map. then, I convert the smoothness map into the alpha channel of the color map to import it in Unity. I export the model to an fbx file and in the importsettings in Unity, I extract the materials and place the new textures on the material. I am planning to do some tutorials in the future, thanks!
Thanks! I can see why you don’t like premade engines, with their giant overheads, but they do allow for fast prototyping so I can focus on what’s important for me. 🙂
@@JelleVermandere Yeah definitely, Im kinda new to gamedev (was coding web apps for 8 years), currently Im using Libgdx since I wanted to learn more about how it works on a lower level but making small 2D dungeon map with player movement, basic collisions, basic animation state switching and interaction with a simple torch (light it on and off) took me more than 10 hours to make and I already had to refactor the whole code base once :-D I even doubt it's possible for someone experienced in Libgdx to create something like Chicky's Delivery Service under 48 hours ... looking forward for your LD 47 game! :D
@@JelleVermandere You also made an amazing game, with the theme integrated well. I have played it, and had a really fun time! Keep up the amazing work!
game is fun, only complaint is that the music restarts after everything. Kinda breaks emersion. But ik that this was in 2 days so maybe you could make a improved version with as much time as you need?

Nice! I really like how you didn't make the video longer than it needed to be because sometimes videos feel very stretched but this didn't!
Yeah, I don’t like that either 😃 stay on point!
Loved your game! Seeing know how you got the idea is amazing. You even made the sund effects of t he cracking egg! Awesome keep it up!
