Love Canyon Lake. If you like surfing, get on Saguaro Lake, or take a lazy float down the Salt River. BTW, both our kayaks came from Riverbound Sports.

Great intro lol, what are you doing when you have your paddle to one side of the kayak when you were riding the wakes from the boat?

Using it as a rudder to keep the kayak riding straight town the wave. If you do nothing the kayak turns sideways.

Dan, how easy do you think it would be for someone with back and hip issues to get in and out of the sandpiper 130 and how comfortable is the seat for long paddles? I'm looking for a rec sit in I'm 6'2" 260 lbs with replaced knees and a really bad lower back and hips. I guide on a flat water tidal river in NE Fl but I want to do some intercoastal paddling and my Vibe SH 125 is really slow in stronger currents.

I think it would be ideal. You could always add a foam pad under your butt as well for more padding. We paddled 14 miles that day and I had no issues.

Is there a hybrid yak that can work for sit in and sit on environments? I want to buy a boat I can use in the bay (ocean sit on top) and also use in the lake or for a quick overnight kayak camp trip. Does a boat like that exist under $800?

Yea you don’t seen sit on top for what you’re looking to do. A sit in side is a better all around option. Aventura would be my suggestion too.
