    Very well done.
Based on the voice-over at the beginning, when I saw the woman tied up in the desert, I assumed it was going to be some sort of "alien bugs infect humans" horror scenario. I was pleasantly surprised.
Technically, everything was very well executed. I especially appreciate that it's "20 minutes into the future"; cars, clothes, and everyday things are entirely familiar, so they don't pull us out of the moment. That makes the few instances of "future tech" much more believable. Kudos to the designers.
The acting and direction are also very well executed. The characters--while cryptic--are both sympathetic and empathetic (via Aristotle's Poetics). That's difficult to do in 12 minutes, but they did it.
And the twist was well-played. Throughout the short, I assumed that Lara was hesitant because she--like any normal person--would find the entire scenario horrific, but was in a situation where she couldn't object. The actual ending never entered my mind.
    Kudos.

Look at what the short is, a commentary on the future and androids or human-like bi-pedal AI.
One does a task, the task failed and the AI/bot needs to be removed. Is this what we want to see, no. But, there is no inherent value in the future with bots.
The importance lies in the fact that this particular AI realized that it is expendable. Life is not warranted and the AI sees this in this story.
