    Dude this video is great man! I used to live there so i clicked to reminisce(?) and your review kept my attention while consistently providing entertainment value. It was hilarious to see you struggle to kind of pretend u weren’t getting progressively intoxicated throughout the night but the fact u were having fun was written on ur face. Which supports the premise of this video. It added some authenticity and relate ability from my perspective and i thought u did a good job. u seem to have high likebility attributes as a host, but wtf do i know...im only the greatest wackpacker of all time!

    WHat a great video - even in corona times. But I really wonder how the door policies are - or were - do they let everybody in or is there a kind of sorting process? I´m in my 40s now and don´t like to be declined at a door. :)

    Is the lower east side and the east village the same neighborhood?

    • @LifeWithLorenzo
      @LifeWithLorenzo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey there! Good question. No, they are two different neighborhoods. East Village is just North of the Lower East Side. Houston Street separates them, so you can easily walk from one to the other. Lots of good stuff going on in both! Enjoy!

    Hi Lorenzo thank you for your informative videos my friends and I are going memorial weekend do you have any recommendations for good salsa clubs? Or any good dancing spots? Thanks in advance

    • @LifeWithLorenzo
      @LifeWithLorenzo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ariana. There's only one spot that comes to mind for salsa dancing and that's SOB's (Sounds of Brazil), check out their website. Also, there's a once a month party that should have salsa as well. It 's called the Bomba Party. You'll want to look it up. Most dancing spots are in the clubs and will be hip-hop and R&B. I've covered most of those places in my videos. Have fun in NYC!

      Check out a great little hip hop joint called Bob on Eldridge Street in the Lower East Side. Downstairs at Tijuana Picnic plays great hip hop and Hotel Chantrelle will also play hip hop

      If you'd like to know what Hip Hop is really all about, go to Crotona Park in The Bronx every Thursday in July. Plus I'll try to keep you posted on true Hip Hop events happening anywhere in NYC.

    Good evening Lorenzo, can you recommend where I should go when I want venture off alone and meet people? (E.G LES or west village or anywhere really lol) I’m a 26 young confident causal guy. Looking for a diverse and original crowd. Not much a dancer lol. Thank you!!

    • @LifeWithLorenzo
      @LifeWithLorenzo  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey James, I'll try my best to answer your question. Here are some suggestions for groups around your age. I'd say The Garret East on Ave A in the East Village is a good choice, diverse, good looking crowd. The Flower Shop in the LES offers a hipster/fashionista crowd downstairs. The Wren in the East Village can also have a great crowd and because it can get packed and be a tight squeeze, you can almost meet someone by default because it is a tight squeeze. Lastly I'd say Hair of the Dog also in the LES is good because it definitely is popular almost every night of the week and even during the day on weekends because it has sports playing. I could write on and on about this topic but I hope those are enough to get you started.

    • @jr-uu8eg

      Life With Lorenzo wow! Thank you so much!!!! I’m going to try a few of those places tonight.

      And don’t forget the power of dining solo. If you go to a popular restaurant just a tad early like 8 and grab a seat at the main bar, you can have your dinner while all sorts of people come up to the bar to order a drink while they wait to have dinner. Places that are great for this are Beauty & Essex, Vandal, Tao Downtown and Pizza Beach.

    Hi do you know what part of New York is affordable for a college student? Like the LES or Upper east side or Bronx...

    • @LifeWithLorenzo
      @LifeWithLorenzo  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      carmen luna Hi Carmen. That’s a tough one to answer because it all depends on what your budget is and what living situation you want. You can have 3 roommates and live in the east village or you can live solo up in the Bronx. Parts of Harlem could be good but getting more expensive. Upper East could be good or sunset park Brooklyn. Your commute can widely differ.

    Anybody who is anybody wouldn't be caught DEAD in Manhattan on a summer weekend.
    Or if they are stuck, they wouldn't answer their phone lest somebody knows they couldn't get an invite to the Hamptons.
