Nine Pregnant Women Rescued from Abuja Baby Factory by NAPTIP
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has rescued nine pregnant women from a baby factory in the Ushafa area of Abuja. This was revealed in a statement by NAPTIP’s Press Officer, Vincent Adekoye, on Thursday.
The rescue operation followed a tip-off from a concerned citizen. The identities of the victims and the suspected agent are yet to be disclosed as investigations continue.
The agency urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to help combat human trafficking, warning that violators of these laws would face severe consequences.
