Nick has always had an agile mind and an amazing creative side. I believe he is a Gemini but have not done all the research, was more into Simon ...no offense, they are all hot, would take you all, but I'm faithful to pitbull 😂✌️❤️💋💋💋💋💥⚡🔥✨🕺🌜🌛👽🪐😂
Wonderful interview. It was nice to hear an informed music person ask the questions. The natural back and forth between you and Nick was also obvious. Great artist in a great band! I love these guys! 42 years!
Great to hear Nick mention Masami Tsuchiya & David Van Tieghem from that Arcadia album. I respect & value both very highly. A great interview this. Cheers.
Fabulously informative interview with Nick. Lady Ice has always been a masterful track. Love that Nick still dips back into and references tracks such as Missing. Nick’s looking great.
Nick always speaks so eloquently. John, thank you for another great interview. You give your interviewees space and time and you are obviously a genuine fan of the band and their music. Always a treat to watch and listen. 💕
I love Nick. He's soooo intelligent and not full of himself. I could listen to him talk and talk and talk. I'd love to meet him, but i think i'd be tongue-tied and feel stupid, and trust me, I've got confidence. Simon, too, is very underrated in his intelligence as a speaker.
Nick is one of the greats and has been since the start. A true visionary and dedicated to art in all its forms. And apparently a lovely bloke. I’d love to meet him.
Hello John what a epic awesome amazing interview with nick Rhodes mastermind behind Duran Duran he's an amazing guy he's brilliant wow wow wow wow I've been a die hard Duranie since 1981 was 12 years old now 55 years old 🗝️ still a die hard Duranie luv this band totally awesome amazing epic true musicians 🎉🎉🎉I luv ya interviews with Duran Duran danse macabre album is goin to be out of this world 🌍🌍🌍🎉🎉🎉I got 12 different formats of this album now being posted oh yes oh yes Duran Duran good luck with this album and wow wow wow 🎉🎉🎉 Duran Duran best band on planet earth 🌎🌍🌎
Wow, a mention of "To the Shore"... What a terrific interview! I could listen to Nick speak for hours. He's so learned on so many topics, such a creative idol... and (confession time) I love the sound of his voice. 😅
I was gobsmacked at the way Nick took the opening sounds of Night Boat and slammed it into new music! I'd love to know how it was built, tracked, and recorded!;)
The music on this album feels more like somber chords added to songs, rather than actually dark, gothic, Halloweeny vibes. It’s “nice”, with a few gems, but a very “safe” album, IMO. That said, Confessions in the Afterlife is their best new song since Valentine Stones from the 2015’s Paper Gods
Bravo for bringing up so much Arcadia. Actually I'm disappointed about the first tracks & the title track of DM, probably because of my Arcadia expectations - fulfilled by Confessions to the max.
They say they’re atheists then celebrate everything spiritually dark? Such a cliche in the rock/pop world. I’m a big fan of their pop productions but they’ve never been deep thinkers. Great for listening to when doing the house work, Spinaltap New Romantics.
I dont think 'confessions' holds a candle to 'palomino'.................musically, it seemed a tepid way to end an upbeat album. I hope it will grow on me. . I think the best covers on the album were Paint it black and psycho killer...becuz they were upbeat and driving. John Kearns seems to prefer the dreary minor-key side of duran duran and arcadia, as opposed to' the band you dance to when the world is ending'
I feel sorry for them. They need Jesus and hell is real and so is heaven. Four decades of convincing others to go to the dark side. That only tells me they are into the Devil. You believe in the dark side and and the devil but, remember God made the Devil. One can’t exist without the other.
@@kcnak7610 whatever. They are no different than BEYONCÉ who does witchcraft!! Plus the music industry curses the music before it goes on radio and video etc.
Someone’s tell to Mr Rhodes .. that bad idea will forgettable quickly, it’s a shame !!…whole album is ruining theirs own original songs and the rest is anyhing less macabre or dark, I think Arcadia is much dark than this bullshit …hey Rhodes if you want learn do dark songs ask to Martin Gore
@@kcnak7610 This is DD's marmite album, you either like it or not. A lot of fans do feel strongly about it and how it really was from left field. It isn't how people think of DD. However, I felt if they just remixed their songs only to a darker twist, that would've been highly welcomed I think. They ruined Lonely by sticking Superfreak on the end.... great for concerts but not on an album. But again, they wanted this album to be a party one I guess. A slight sell out but good or bad, we stick with them
Rhodes is a legend. Can't wait to hear the entire album. Psycho Killer is a killer cover!
It is an Awsome album. What is do good about Duran Duran is that they have made the covers their own

Wonderful interview and great job asking Nick about the Arcadia album!! Nick is simply amazing to listen to!!

A great interview this. Cheers.
I am *delighted* with Duran Duran's requiem phase. So here for that. I have been waiting decades for a full dark album 🎉💀
Fantastic interview! I could listen to Nick talk all day. I love this album so much!
Always loved Secret Oktober, was pleased to see it on the new album. Like the new version too.
Fabulously informative interview with Nick. Lady Ice has always been a masterful track. Love that Nick still dips back into and references tracks such as Missing. Nick’s looking great.
Thank you for asking Nick some Arcadia questions, you a real one for that ❤❤
Great interview, thank you for posting! I could listen to Nick talk for hours. ❤
Me too, you can tell he puts so much thought into everything he says
The interviewer is great - some turn me right off (literally)
He’s so unique, intelligent & a authentic craftsman ,love his personality!
Lovely interview… Nick’s view of Duran always grabs me and is so interesting. New Album is fabulous..long live DD
Brilliant band. Always changing it up. Pure ear candy. Can’t wait to hear confessions in the afterlife. Heard it’s amazing. One more day 🫶

Ironically, Palomino and Missing are the best Duran Duran (or Duran Druan-related) songs to my ear. It's good to see I am not alone in that opinion.
🌠Good interview Guys..Looking Forward 2 BUYING the New Album...CD (Danse Macabre)
Great interview good to see and hear you ur 👀🤩nick nick keep going 🌸🐈⬛🐾🐈⬛🐾🕵️♀️🎹⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lady Ice live!?!? We would lose our minds! Oh, I hope this happens! 😮
lol Duran has always been dark.. I can't even think of a love song they have done..
Medazzalnd is fantastic. "Lady Ice" : same.
Did they discuss Andy and Warren?
Old songs just comes Back from past. IT was start and. How about you, what Time was best to you?

I have to agree. I enjoyed the album but on the whole it was unnecessary.
The arrogance of claiming someone else’s art is “unnecessary”, or that they “ruined” themselves 🙄
