Eyes Wide Shut (1999) Original Trailer

Based on the 1926 novella Traumnovelle (Dream Story) by Arthur Schnitzler, Stanley Kubrick’s final movie Eyes Wide Shut is an erotic thriller centring on a married couple (Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman) who become entangled in an intricate web of jealousy and sexual obsession as they both confront their intimate sexual fantasies - neither of which involve the other.
Shooting took place almost entirely in England, with iconic New York cityscapes being painstakingly recreated at Pinewood Studios.
Before his passing, Stanley referred to the movie as his “greatest contribution to the art of cinema.”
The film also stars Sydney Pollack, Todd Field, Alan Cumming and Leelee Sobieski.
Eyes Wide Shut was released by Warner Bros. Pictures on 16 July 1999, four months after Kubrick’s passing.
