Good stuff mate, I was just sharing this video to a bloke who has not made one before, I just throw a few handfuls of sand in the bottom to weigh it down
But i have 1 issue . After i catch like 15-20 poddy mullet. I put it on my bucket half water from the lakes . When i start to fishing , the bait mullet keep dying 1 by 1 after like 30min or 1hr . Can i know what is my mistake?
Also what you need to consider is to drain out the water you have in the bucket, put fresh watering from the spot you caught the Mullet because the Ammonia they emit kills them. If you have a 20L bucket you need to have close to 20L of fresh river water in it to keep them alive.
Trap and location worked a treat mate. Cheers 👍
Thank's matey , good job well done .
Chris.
Thanks mate.

Glad you liked it, best to get 90gram star sinkers because the sand will eventually drift around the trap.
G'Day,,Nice trick,,thanks for sharing,,
Tight line's,
Glad you liked it.
Great video Have you ever heard of people catching poddy mullet on the paramatta river?
They're in every estuary system, once you find a school you shouldn't be good to catch a few
Great tips thanks, I like your bait tank, has it a built in aerator, where can I buy one
Glad you liked it, you can buy everything at your local fishing shop
Hi mate, where abouts in the George’s is that?
Great video.Thank you for sharing. Which month is the most availability of poddy mullet ? Is it near South Park of Chipping Norton? Thank you.
Glad you liked it.
When did you film this mate ? And what time of year is best for poddies ?
Filmed yesterday, all year with Summer the best times
Thanks mate
No problems
if you dont have any spare star sinkers lying around a rock works fine and is free.
How long did you wait before checking the traps?
No more than 15 minutes
Mate, have the same live bait bucket, same plastic bottles (mineral water from woolies) and do the same, add holes and add sinkers lol
Works a treat!
Hey mate what bait we need put on the bottle to get the paddys mullet?
Bread
I just do it today and is works . Tq so much . Just buy container at kmart and i make hole then put bread inside that 20min boom 10-20 poddy mullet 🤪

Do you have an aerator? You need a good aerator to pump in oxygen for the Mullet to be alive.
Also what you need to consider is to drain out the water you have in the bucket, put fresh watering from the spot you caught the Mullet because the Ammonia they emit kills them. If you have a 20L bucket you need to have close to 20L of fresh river water in it to keep them alive.

Thank you for watching.
Plastic traps may look simple but speaking from experience if you dont follow this guys method it can be a real pain
What's wrong with a cast net?
Illegal in NSW.
How deep do you keep the entrance to the trap to the water surface? Thanks for the tips mate 🎣
Roughly 10cm if that makes sense
@@aft-fishing90 sure does. Keen to give it a crack!
Much cheaper than buying a trap.I would like to see the results when you use them for bait.
After the lockdowns you'll see 🙂
THANKS. TOO EASY
Who was Chipping Norton? Is Chipping Norton even actually a person? What is a Chipping Norton?
It's a lake, don't think anyone was called Chipping Norton
Sigh sadly can’t use traps here stupid law such a easy way to get bait
They rang me about it to warn me no bait collecting using traps because it’s polluted.
I take my hat off
Hehe it's good to know
