I really enjoyed it, it's a lot more faithful to the book than other adaptations. It was good to see equality in the nude scenes also, usually it's just the woman who's completely naked and you might see a flash of male flesh. I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was shot beautifully, the 2 leads had fantastic chemistry and it was refreshing

I love how its quite obvious how deep they've bonded as friends - great respect & trust there. Fantastic movie! I just wished during the scene in the rain when they were running around, I wish Emma didnt bring her own posture in, but should have had one similar to the one in the crown. Loved Jack since Skins. He's incredibly underrated!

Having never watched lady chatterleys lover previously I was quite shocked at how rude it was 😮 but the two actors were so believable in the sex scenes. I think they are bloody brave to let go like they did and I really enjoyed the film
Having listen to Laure interest in the novel and what she tries to convey in the movie I will watch it. I personally stay way from those complexe relationships. I would simply walk away from those complexe relationships as those are not my priorities.

Agreed! I feel like there was a theme going on with nature as being destructive (post war) and nature being an escape from societal constraints. For example, Chatterly is always out in nature when she runs into Mellors.
No chemistry whatsoever between the actors... like it was so forced and difficult to accept. She was great as princess Diana but this roles wasn't really for her.
Jack has a very norther AND working class accent. We don't usually listen to these accents on TV, that's why. I lived in Manchester and I struggled a lot at the beggining. 😂 For non native speakers, like us, it might sound difficult. But I truly believe it's due the lack of exposition we (don't) have it. Emma has a common accent, maybe that's how she talks?

I've watched several interviews where his response to questions about his knowledge of D.H. Lawrence was that, "Well... he lived right up the road from me." And he got to hold a pheasant 🤔🤪 Emma, you're young and very talented. Make better choices.
