- Our journey on the captivating P&O ship, Arvia, began on Day 1 marking the onset of an unforgettable 14-day holiday. From the moment we set foot on the ship, excitement buzzed in the air.
After arriving at the bustling port, we were greeted by the majestic sight of Arvia, a modern marvel standing tall against the horizon. Our cabin welcomed us with open arms, offering a haven of comfort and elegance. The balcony opened up to breathtaking views of the endless sea, instantly connecting us with the serenity of the ocean.
Lunch was a culinary exploration, featuring an array of delectable dishes that catered to every palate. The attentive staff made us feel at home, turning the meal into a memorable experience. Dinner was equally splendid, an exquisite affair of flavours and conversations that illuminated the dining hall.
The evening came alive with the spellbinding show, "CJ Illusions," held in the grand theatre. Magic, technology, and artistry converged to create a performance that left us spellbound. The interplay of illusions, lights, and music transported us to a world where reality was redefined.
To wrap up the day, we ascended to the Crow's Nest, a cocktail bar offering a panoramic view of the sea under the starry sky. Sipping cocktails, we reflected on the day's moments, a microcosm of the adventure awaiting us.
Day 1 on the Arvia was a glimpse into the extraordinary journey ahead. Luxurious accommodations, sumptuous dining, and captivating entertainment set the stage for the next 13 days. As we retired to our cabin, the ship's gentle motion lulled us into dreams of the remarkable experiences yet to come. Arvia had already woven its magic, and we eagerly awaited the chapters yet to unfold.

Hello Erika - we are going on Arvia in October for a two week cruise - thank you so much for putting together your videos, you and Paul are such a smashing couple and explain everything so carefully and clearly - I've also been looking at your other videos Erika and love the way you train Sky, what an adorable little chap he is. We sadly lost our 11yr old Bichon a short while ago, he was the love of our lives. Maybe we will open our hearts to another one in the future so I will be watching your training videos again! Hectic 1st day! We sailed out of Southampton which was nice. You should really be able to book certain things on the app long before you sail but then again this may hinder those who are not so IT/PC Lierate...

Hi Mark, when you are on board the ship, before you leave the port you download the app. But your phone would remember the app for the next time you are on any of the P&O ships, Well I think so anyway. It worked from Paul's phone, Paul downloaded the app from last year when we went on the Iona, Arvia's sister ship 🚢. I hope that helps you. Have a lovely time. In the main dining room, can you order as as you want?
Hi Again, there is a menu, But there's no harm in asking your waiter if you have something else that is not on the menu. They may make it for you. If you or someone in your party has special dietary needs then, When you book your trip let the Booking staff know, A Little tip for you as soon as you get to the check-in just check that it has been noted, As well as the main restaurant You'll want the manager Know the special dietary needs. I saw this video on the TV and felt compelled to sign in and comment. We were on this very same K315 cruise in a conservatory mini suite. Apart from the CJ Illusions show, which we also enjoyed, the whole 2 weeks was a litany of disappointments. The first time on P&O and likely the last. This cruise compared very poorly compared to our previous ones. On arrival at the terminal and showing our papers we were greeted with, "You're late". Not the welcome we were expecting. I'll be sure to complain to British Rail. We booked a table in Zenith for the first night. We didn't repeat it. Waiting staff cannot be bothered to wear full uniform, some no waistcoat, some loose or even no ties. No standards. Water glasses not refilled, dirty cutlery and, as shown in the video, the food was not that good anyway. We spent most of the 2 weeks eating in the Horizen buffet after that. Not very high standards there either, swimsuits in the restaurant, children running about (we are ok with that) and yes, we did actually see somebody picking up food with their fingers, but we knew what we were getting and the food selection was usually varied enough. And then came the 2 "gala" nights. The highlight of a cruise for my wife and evidently for many many guests onboard. Yet even with dress standards clearly printed, I failed to understand why they allowed people to attend with no jacket, no tie and even wearing trainers. NO STANDARDS. If you don't care about these things, you will likely enjoy your cruise. If you don't mind booking your entertainment you will likely enjoy your cruise. But we have not been accustomed to better service, better quality meals and a better range of options that do not require you to pay extra (hint: Aida). Our most expensive cruise to date and our least enjoyable. Bye bye P&O

Went on the Ariva in June, too big with over 5000 passengers. Having to book everything, restaurants and the theatre to watch a mediocre show. The food not up the standard of our previous P & O cruises.
