Jennifer Pharr Davis you are an amazing inspiration for hikers and trail runners. I have read your book and articles. I dont know if you are monitoring this thread but I was curious mainly about your trust in this product. Is there any water source that you would not trust drinking from using this water source on the AT or other trails? Most hikers know running waters are better then stagnant waters, I was curious if you would trust this filter even with some of the stagnant water sources?
That doesn't work like mine. Strong flow??? I tried it the past couple days and had to squeeze as hard as I could to get a minimal stream. Also, it sure would have been nice if they put an arrow on it like the other filters. Seems pretty simple and I should have looked it up online first I've not seen any filter that doesn't have a simple arrow on it. I've backflushed it and it helped some but still requires a lot of pressure it get water out. Like my mini much better.

I read a lot of bad reviews on Sawer filters. People mostly complain, that they stop working after a couple of uses. I got a mini and it came with a broker Syringe. What I want to know, since these are famous "survival" products, is it going to work in an emergency, or do I have to rely on a lifestraw or anything else? Any advice would be much appriciated. Thanks
Sawyer open up the bottom of the microlike the squeeze. And then give us the plug that the squeeze comes with for the gravity fed. So you're not draining it out in your bag. Not gaining any weight if you open up the bottom. And improving your flow rate.

Hi, I have a question. I also have a Sawyer Micro Squeeze but my mouthpiece is not white but transparent. On the pictures I have seen so far, whether on the packaging of my Sawyer micro or in YTube videos as well as in online shops. In all of them this mouthpiece is white. Why is that?
It sounds like you might have received one of the newer style caps that we recently started using. If you want to be 100% sure, please email a photo to our customer service department for official verification.

Great filter....but the water collection bags are a ROYAL pain to use! Throw the bags in the trash and get a CNOC Vector bag.

And already seen clips of that thing failing on cam. Dont trust it one bit.
Don't buy these! They are a scam of a water filter that fails quickly. They have a "lifetime guarantee", but their customer service will simply stop contacting you if you try to get a refund as I did. Incredibly dissapointing business, they should be ashamed. Get something that will actually last!

Very bad review.does it filter EVERYTHING? viruses? metals? bacteria? how much water can it process?? what's in the filter? USELESS review, no info whatsoever.

Would never buy one after al those fails.
And yet you're still adding to the demand of plastic bottles... Why wouldn't you just buy a decent canteen that will last a lifetime.. shocking from an outdoors woman!
canteens are heavy as fuck. I buy a liter smart water bottle and use it over and over again.
