I love the way you film, don't change a thing 🌹
Thank you so much for that comment🌹
I have missed you and your videos Kicki. Glad things are going well for you. This was a great video. Loved hearing your thoughts 😊
Thank you! I can’t just work. Must have some fun, too☺️
@@thehonestperfumereviewer6336 absolutely!
Really appreciate your style
Aw, thank you for those kind words 🙏🏽
Have you been spraying your perfume in different places? Maybe this is why it’s seeming to last longer for you? I find that when I spray further away from my face (like on my shoulders and/or forearms instead of chest) then I do not go noseblind nearly as easily.
I totally understand the “phenomenon” of which you speak, and I feel I suffer from the same thing. I think the only solution is that we have to open our own perfumery Kicki, because I enjoy the experience of spraying something from us in the bottle, but I don’t really be want to own a bottle of anything! 😅 Anyway I really enjoyed listening to this on my way home from spin class, you are sounding very relaxed and happy 😊
Haha, yes. So true. I am always on to the next thing. Never have understood those who say that they are obsessed with a certain fragrance and can’t stop wearing it. I can’t stick to a fragrance for long. Very rarely do I wear the same fragrance for days in a row.
Good to see you again :)
I ought to try Ylang Nosy Be. Do you know any other ylang ylang scents that are less of that banana, bubble gum style? I tried Ylang 49 from Le Labo recently and really enjoyed it. Ordered a sample and am excited to experiment more. The associate said it’s very popular in Asia and I can definitely see why it appeals to the general fragrance tastes there.
So often with ylang perfumes it’s either banana ylang or sour ylang of Chanel no 5. You know what I mean? I feel like there’s other ways to showcase the note. For example enhancing its minty side (like with spa kind of scents) is always a pleasure to smell and I don’t know why they don’t pursue that more.
Btw, I know in the past you had said you like Sumo Wrestler by J-Scent. I have seen comparisons with Bois des Iles, curious which do you prefer and why? They’re both great, thinking about picking up one or the other.
Hi Kicki. It's nice to see you again. This past Sat., I ordered a bottle of Amouage "Overture Man", even though I've never tried it (I found it for a good price, though), and also on Sat., I wore my sample of Amouage "Memoir Woman" to see if I still like it enough to buy a bottle of it. I decided that I do still like it, and I probably will buy it eventually, even though I still feel there is something off-putting about it. I appreciate you sharing that about Wesker "Eau de Mystique". I'll check it out, but does it have a similar animalic aspect that "Memoir Woman" has? Either way, I still plan to try Wesker "Eau de Mystique". Also, my algorithms didn't tell me you uploaded this video, but I could psychically tell you were about to upload a new video.
I find them both slightly animalic. I guess it could be the honey in Eau de Mystique.
@@thehonestperfumereviewer6336 Thank you. I went ahead and ordered "Eau de Mystique" yesterday. It seems like a fragrance I would like, and I found it at a good price (about $120). I decided I'll sample "Histria" first before I decide if I want it or not. Now, I have to take a break for a while with fragrance purchases.
Happy to see you back. I had the same experience as you, and I think I was more conscious of people (especially the gossipy ones) noticing my smell in the office. It somehow made my nose more 'alert'.
Interesting. Would have guessed the opposite. That stress and being focused on other things would make my senses crave more.
Good to see you Kicki, and happy that your liking your job!! Fauni and Rosarium, sounds pretty. I do love the smell of a bubblegum tuberose!! 🌸💜
Thank you for commenting🌹
Hi Kicki! So good to have an update :o). I recently picked up a used bottle of Chanel no 5 Eau Premier and love it so much! I own several vintage bottles, some very old and I can't wear them but I appreciate them. This is almost addictive to me! I am almost two weeks in on a nasty cold virus to where I lost almost all my smell and taste a few days ago, then doom set over me! I literally had thoughts of what will I do if I never get my smell back, haha! (looking over longingly and grief stricken at all my bottles...) Well, I am happy to report it is 60% back already so I will not panic. oxJulia
Thank you for your comment. Hope you get well soon. Eau Premiere is great!
Lovely to see your catch up!
Love your thoughts. Especially bonnpineward. He creates amazing fragrances!
Thank you. Will make a Pineward, Slumberhouse and Bortnikoff video soon.
Do you like the fig in BDK Gris charnel ? It’s good to see you looking so upbeat. Glad everything is working out well.
I have smelled it but might need to revisit it. Maybe I have changed my mind about fig. Gris Charnel was a like but not a love last time I tried it.
Missed you
So nice to hear that🙏🏽
Hi Kicki- I'm glad to see you are back. I could imagine work has been hectic. Watching the video now
Thank you🌹
Have you tried any from Fueguia?
No, I don’t think I have heard of it either. Any special fragrances that you recommend?
@@thehonestperfumereviewer6336 Ive only tried Humboldt - very nice and realistic citrus! Passionfruit, mandarin, bergamot. Extremely effervescent, sharp and tart. Looking to explore more of the house but having trouble finding the brand in stores haha.
If you have access to visitng one of their stores, i hear its a great experience
Kul att du blev inspirerad av vår lilla sniffträff 🥰
Åh, Savoy Steam hade varit intressant att testa, låter som något för mig 😊
Helt underbar!
Is the British guy Aoron Terrence Hughes ?
It was Peter Carter and Centauri perfumes I was thinking about! Just thought of it now!
I wonder did he ever get the license to ship to Europe ? I tried buying from him in his early stages , but he couldn’t ship to me. I like his branding.
I don’t know. Are you in the US?
Nope. Ireland. Same problem with scent scientists. Special licensing needed for flammable products.
