I would really like a home birth but I have yet to get a midwife based where I am. I am 11 weeks and still on a waiting list for Thames Valley Midwives :(

Some communities do have long waiting lists for midwives. Try reaching out to other practice groups in your area - it is OK to be on several waiting lists at once and to mention you are interested in a home birth. Two other midwifery practices in the London area are: Womancare Midwives midwives.on.ca/ and Midwives of Middlesex and Area www.momamidwives.ca

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately Thames Valley is the only practice that covers my area.

Get a doula, she will help you have the birth you want, even if you cannot have a midwife.
