      After having two babies, let me assure you will never have to guess or wonder if you’re in labor. You were in transition, I think, in the bath right before you went to the hospital. You did very well. You were amazing.
      Blessings upon your little family.

      @@jalainadill3690 I work at a hospital that’s very comfortable with women giving birth in multiple positions! There are many hospitals that are the same. Of course, limited by if the woman gets an epidural. But I think just having that convo with your doctor before labor is important and makes sure that you and your doc are on the same page 🥰

      You trolling? I think almost none of them would faint. Like literally barely any. Fainting in general is a really rare occurrence for humans, real life isn’t a Hollywood movie, lol.
      At my most shocked moment while my wife was giving birth to my daughter all I did was raise my eyebrows and open my eyes wide. Other than that I was there comforting her the whole way through.

    I was induced with my daughter and gave birth without an epidural, and for whatever reason I feel so much shame (even now, almost four years later) about how I felt I didn't cope well with the pain, how distressed I was, how loudly I screamed. Watching this video brought tears of absolute admiration to my eyes and has made me rethink my labour experience.
    I'm 25 weeks pregnant with our son now and this has really helped me to feel empowered and proud that I've done this once (induction contractions are like NOTHING I've ever experienced and there was no time to prepare for them), so I can certainly do it again. • @surlespasdondine
      @surlespasdondine 3 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      @@Zoethechoirkid Well with an epidural you don't have pain anymore but it's just SUPER intense, the feeling of pressure is very overwhelming and I felt like something was stuck down there. Like a bowl movement but x 1000 and like you are constipated but at the same time feel intense waves of pressure. It was extremely unpleasant and I felt very anxious and like I couldn't do it. I preferred the pain of contractions. That being said I got an epidural at 3 cm, not because I couldn't deal with the pain anymore, it was still manageable but because I did not want to "feel everything" later on. And I'm glad I got it! Would have been so much worse if I had had to handle horrible contractions at the same time as what I described.The pain of contractions when you are more dilated is horrendous from what I hear. I mean I never understand when people are surprised by how much pain they are in during labour, I'm always like "duh, you think women screaming as if they were possessed happens for no reason" lol.

      Oh I thought I was the only one. My first 2 were natural and soooo intense so I had the epi with number 3 thinking I was gonna have a kourtney K birth but I still roared like a lion during the pushing. I was not expecting to feel the ring of Fire with an epi. I’m on number 4 and I definitely prefer no epi because the pain is gradual, the epi went from zero to 100 sooooo fast when he was coming out.

    I gave birth my son with normal delivery being a single parent. Only the doctor, nurses and my aunties were with me.
    I’m really happy from my heart for all those mothers whenever I see one who could have a partner/ husband near her during the labour. ❤️ I appreciate the love and support of the father-to-be-s to their wives.

    When you were talking about your period cramps i kind of chuckled to myself. I understand you were experiencing labor for the first time but i went in with that same attitude as well with my first so u found it relatable. Active labor is in a whole different ballpark, when you said "I'll never think my period cramps are bad ever again" i teared up, cause same lmao. I'm due with #5 any day now, watching birth videos really helps me mentally prepare for the intensity of labor again.

    Watching this video 2 years after it was posted as a first time mom. I really really appreciate all the dedication you put into making sure that we knew what was going on! Its amazing to see a women actually being able to go through pre term labor, hit active labor, and then go through birth in general. But again GREATLY appreciated as someone who will have to do this soon.

    Why did this bring so much emotion? Maybe because I’m 39 weeks over here with raging hormones, lol. Or quite possibly because this was one of the most beautiful labor experiences I’ve watched. Your midwife was so calm and so natural. She exemplified what all pregnant mamas should feel, labor is normal and natural, your body knows what to do… so she let your body lead and that was so empowering to watch. You killed it! From start to finish you did everything right for you and baby. Kudos. Oh and your husband is magical too 💕 okay - End rant. Thanks so much for sharing.
