I think this game did the best at showcasing how painful the attacks are. 9 was more of a proof of concept in showing what X-rays were, and 11 and 1 felt more focused on the spectacle of the attacks. Here we are all in on the injuries we are inflicting on our opponent.
I always just saw it as a bullet that changes direction magically. Guy has had time to explore Outworld, so he could have some enchanted bullets. He also deliberately reloads for the X-Ray, so that tells me it's not his usual ammo.
This is the first tier list where I’ve actively disagreed with so many of the placings. The fact that Jacqui is middle of B is astounding considering the lack of uniqueness. Also Erron not being in S because of a gimmick even though Cassie is. Enjoy the content though, keep it up.

In X, they just touch you, which sometimes just causes you to hold still, and move you behind them and do the same as forward throw. Some throws are awesome, like Liu Kang's and Kung Lao's epic beatdowns. Also like that some become nice Brutalities too. And some throws are kinda just boring, especially compared to what the same character does in MK9 or 11. Like Raiden and Sub-Zero.
I kinda dislike how so many of the XRays in MKX focus mostly or entirely on the opponents head and neck. Thats such a small portion of the body. There could be so much nice stuff done with breaking/shattering arms, legs, fingers; but instead most just go for the head and neck that it makes many X-Rays just blend together for me.
It's really hard. You'll notice that with most fatalities and fatal blows, they all use similar dismemberment, beheading, spine, and dissolving animations. Making a completely new one for each would take fucking ages

I'd say rate the costumes from MK9 onwards. If Maximilian Dood did it alongside ranking Fatalities and shit, then no doubt can y'all give opinions on the alt costumes of the characters. I'd say rhat is THE last thing I can think of in MKX after this. 🤷🏻 P.S: Doubt this would boost Erron's placement in the tier list, but using X-Ray on someone like Predator, the bullet says, "Ugly Mofo"

I cant agree more. Even down to the hit and block sound effects, the screenshake, and the voicelines/reactions. It just feels so brutal.
