Hello, you're videos are great and very informative. I am looking to start selling my own homemade marinade in Texas by going to local farmer's markets and then branching out to online. Should I start my business as a sole proprietorship or should I just start as an LLC?
Man where do I begin. I'm looking to start a food truck. Sometimes I lose my drive bc I overwhelm myself with info on how to start/where to start. I currently do cooking segments with our local news station but I promote everyone else's products on TV. Everyone keeps asking me when I am going to open up a truck or business and I just keep saying idk! I feel like I could use more help in this area. I'm going to start with figuring out our cottage laws here in ohio. I think watching this video might be my push into actually doing this!
Hey Wes AWESOME when I started nearly 12 years ago my wife and I opened an italian bakery and deli it was a GREAT expereince and LEANRED much! Siply start where you are, and take the first step. You wont know everything at first like we did but that is OK just keep asking questions and pushing forward ... I have never looked back and it has been a GREAT ride set small goals and take small steps.
I saw in one of your videos that you said we can literally order popcorn seasoning in bulk off spice barn and then re package it, put our own label and sell it ? is that legal/allowed ?

Do you have a way to talk privately? I have a sole proprietorship/cottage business with a trademark on my biz name and logo. I started in 2014 very part-time, but grew a lot after rebranding over the summer of 2018. I do major events at fine hotels and resorts, hospitals, business favors & gift, a couple weddings, universities, private businesses and individuals. I am considering branching out to a commercial kitchen and getting an LLC instead of a sole proprietorship. I love working from home, but want the flexibility to sell online out of state to friends and connections I have nationally, and to amazon, ebay, etsy etc. Do you have advice on the timing of this as well as disadvantages? A lot of what I make is custom, but I have a couple standard products that I would like to try to sell nationally. (On a side note, I also use Avery design and print and have had great success with it & print my own labels. Avery doesn't have the amount of label options that online labels has, but it has more flexibility in the design I think. I have only started to play with online labels. It is very user friendly though.) With Covid 19 many big events will not be happening so that is also a consideration in regard to renting a kitchen or creating one in my house, which it basically is already. The big step is the LLC. Any advice would be great!
Did I dream that consultation fee $125 or you keep on increasing the fee I had to leave my nursing job bcuz of my health and I have no doubt you will be of great help but it will take me ten years to come up with that amount of money
