The character growth from A-Train coming back to save Ashley and Ashley firing her assistant to save him and reminding A-Train to remove the tracker is amazing.
Those two learning to care about each other was not something I ever expected, but I like it a lot. Ashley and A-Train have both done HORRIBLE things, but A-Train is finally trying to be a better person, and I think Homelander might come to regret keeping Ashley around.

He isnt invincible. Hydrogen bombs are stated to be able to kill him and Soldier Boy. Its stated by the writers he would need sometime to destroy a city. We have seen him bleed and get bruised. He was overwhelmed in Season 3. Ryan briefly unleashed his potential via rage and pushed him down
If you think about it. Homelander is FAR to lazy to actually search the entire earth for you. He absolutely COULD do it. But he would much rather rely on Voughts resources and personal to do his intel. He had to do it for Rebecca to find Ryan. As long as you could get away from Vought well enough to disappear of their radar - you would effectively have gotten away from Homelander.
I love how despite the apparent hate they express to each other they slip in actions to show that they sympathize with each other because they are both in the same boat when it comes to Homelander. A part of me hoped that Ashley would take his offer and they would escape together.
She’s the real hero she couldn’t quit because she was scared she would be killed so she has others fired so they don’t suffer working at Vault under Homelander.
Ashley is too good for the world... I really like how she went from a seemingly random side character to an almost central focus on the Vaught storyline. She is both a perfect represantation of a normal person in her situation and the effects of being in such a situation... She said it perfectly herself, "This place makes it easy to become a monster." The fact she recognizes this in herself AND in others is telling, her regret and guilt reflects even more of her humanity. Atleast to me, it looks like Ashley is starting to step up even further beyond her job description with her trying to protect others while potentially putting herself in the line of fire... Sure sounds like the description of a hero huh? Coincidence? I think not!
Dude the person who plays ashley does such a great job, throughout the series you see want to commit and go through with it fully just to oull herself back at the last minute.
Their relationship is really interesting. From the cop and rebrand stuff and "heart" to the pinnacle here where surprisingly, A-train shows loyalty and care to try to get her out of there with him.
I hope A-train comes back to season 5 to team up with starlight. And hopefully Ashley joins if she's capable after taking the compound v shot. Who knows what she's planning.

Maybe her looking at the photo could mean that she returns to her leftist past soon in the series, that she becomes more anti-establishment again and works from the inside to dismantle Vought or teams up with The Boys. I'm very excited for what she will do next, she's such an interesting character with a lot of potiential

Homelander is not the type of guy to go searching the entire globe for just a few people. He didn't even do it for his own son. Homelander would absolutely outsource the search to someone else, be it a Supe or Vought personelle. If A-Train and Ashley knew how to avoid Vought, I believe they could absolutely get away.
Hope he comes back for her before the end, A-Train will probably be like Deep in the comics because he didn't join Homelander in his coup he lives. Or maybe not who knows.
