O38 rule so you can only give him 3y, idk why it only let you do 2y. You can only do 2y extensions, but as a UFA it’s up to 3y. So you should’ve been able to offer 3/174.1M or something like that. SAS would only be able to offer him 35% of the cap then 5% raises. So even if the Y1 number was 53.74M, which it didn’t seem to be, but even then, you’d be able to do 53.74M + 58.04M + 62.338M, so 3/174.1M+ and them 53.74M + 56.427M + 59.114M, so 3/169.28M. That’s the bare minimum too. They must’ve messed the rules up (2K, not surprising) and think you can only do 2y even as a UFA. But even if it was 2y, you would’ve been able to offer him at least like a CPL million more…and I didn’t count the years but prolly a NTC too, possibly a player option. I’ve randomly noticed you sign Diallo a decent amount. I’m a DET fan and I found that pretty funny, just really random lol. Especially for the TMLE, dude can’t even get a minimum. I can’t imagine he’s good in 2k since he can’t shoot or rly do anything but maybe defend a little. Maybe I’m wrong tho. He signed a 10-Day once in 23-24 and played 2g, total of 5MP haha. When DET got him from OKC, in 20G he was here he shot 39% 3P on 2.1att and actually got to the FT line a bit. Got a steal or so, a few boards, finished p well at the rim. Bro even put up some 30+ point games including two 30+ point games with 13+ boards and 5stls. But he could just never develop that 3 ball and his handle wasn’t good so even w the athleticism and crazy wingspan etc. 6’5 with a near 7ft WS, 40+ inch vertical, and really quick in the lateral quickness drills. Unfortunate bc he was crazy young, absurdly athletic, (he won a dunk contest!) fast, had all the tools to be a sick 3&D wing beside the consistent 3P shot. He even won a couple medals in the U18 stuff. Only gave up one 2nd for him too. Whatever. I figured he’d be playing overseas by now, but he’s been in the G still. Maybe he will catch on with a roster, if not maybe gets to play high level euro ball. Always love the content! I know it’s kinda split on the injuries vs no injuries stuff, it doesn’t make a huge difference to me…but I prefer no injuries just bc with 2K they’re SOOOO random. This was an A+ offseason lol. The odds of Tyus Jones landing on a second apron team already taxed to death/swept in the 1st round is ridiculously slim. Plus turning 1 late 1st round pick into 4 picks is insane, plus getting the guy in Dunn that they were targeting, plus Jalen Bridges as a 2 way player. It’s just crazy. Even if the whole thing falls apart, they have the beginning of an interesting core with Booker and a legit culture guy in Coach Bud.
In 2k25 they have to make these simulations better. Like, the suns consistently never get past round 2 while teams like the cavs or hawks get blessed for no reason

2k valued Giddey & he would progress into a 90+ overall. While 2k doesn’t Value Caruso & he regresses after year 1. Also they used up their cap space on IHART so they can no longer sign guys like OG & he’s also locked up in a 5 year with NY so either way the sim couldn’t do that. Those moves made them a little less dangerous. All I’ve seen them in year 3 or 4 have so much young talent that they still become a powerhouse. Plus 2k always favors younger players.
