So basically This wiped mechanic is telling me that "So if you don't have a life then this game is for you." No, thank you. Just because you leveling fast next season doesn't mean I will like it? Nope, Reseting to level 1, Map that was discovered or unlock will be also reset and then grind all over again, Forced me to New game+ without telling me?. Nahh This is not my forte. There is a lot that they didn't explained well too.....

Honestly I’m fine with the seasonal model but 6 weeks is WAY too short. It should at least be double that.
for me its way too long I was lvl 50 in under 2 weeks and want more content but its time gated and stuff so obv game has to compromise between players like me and you which is why its 6 weeks

@@abdullahawais9267 Agreed, I hit level 5 the moment phase 2 unlocked so about 8 days. And every phase I clear all the new content within the day or 2nd day so its why too slow in terms of content. or skill issue cuz I know there are people who still can't or haven't cleared normal modes for certain stuff. I have 200+ hours and its phase 4 3rd day for me already.
Thanks for the info. I feel like the population going to drop after the 1st wipe. The amount of real lifetime spent on countless grinding on stuff and getting it wipe is a huge waste of my time. Speaking of Etherland probably something no one will touch and will be touch only when there's server wipe. If I just want to build something peacefully I'll just go play SIM. LOL Let's be real a lot of us are adults and we don't have that many hours of days to play this game just so it will get erase at the end. I'm waiting for the server wipe to see how it goes, but im sure alot of people feel the same way of not wanting this.

So.... We get to keep the blueprints for our house but not the resources we used to build it. Great, now you have a key for a car that doesnt exist.
@@MaskoDNK that aint the issue. The issue here is, the time you'll have to spend again to gather resources. Even though they said they'll make it so that the high level mats required will be replaced with lower tier ones, it still doesn't change the fact that you'll have to gather resources. Now, if you have a huge house- you already know.
@@MaskoDNK I dont think thats the case cause there's a whole wipe in your memetics at the beginning of your season right so how will the materials that u unlock further down the memetics carry over when you are like in the beginning?
@@MaskoDNK your materials can transfer between realms but u need to GRIND for some stupid made up currency to transfer them, and if u want to keep and transfer everything you have then good luck grinding for an infinite amount of currency to do it lol u might aswel just grind the materials to build ur house from the ground up lol

I agree 100% seems like they said they want it to be more fair but that’s what’s pve is for no? Me and my brother started a couple days ago and we only just found out the servers getting reset and it just fully ruined our whole experience. There are so many great features in this game that aren’t in others. It really seems like the devs care about the player experience aswell, but then this? I don’t understand it and I’m really not sure if I’ll continue to play it. I always enjoy building bigger and bigger. I like farming things and I love that you can do that but also follow a story. But we couldn’t even finish the story and now are being reset like why???
It seems to be more a mirroring of No Man’s Sky’s expedition system - which inherently I don’t think is a bad idea, people get a lot of enjoyment from starting again in survival games(look at Minecraft for an example) and NMS and maybe this seem to be using that idea to encourage you to do that but still add to a larger overall progress(that eternaland stuff

@@DavidWoodMusic how so? It’s pretty simple. U keep literally everything except ur character level, seasonal challenge progression, and energy links. The rest auto carries over to the next season or is transferred to eternaland so u can manually bring it with you.

@@1C3_K1LL3R yes auto as in u don’t have to do anything. The few things u will have to manually transfer with material points is ur weapons, ammo, and meds etc.. that I want to keep

This is a really dumb idea. Why would players spend our precious time and hours on leveling our characters, building houses, unlocking weapons just to have to start over every month and a half?
because u lvl really fast in this game and each new season will unlock new zones on the map that have never been discorved it will be like a brand new game. as for you house u can save ur build as a blueprint and rebuild it instantly again not from scratch, and u can also carry over all your favorite weapons and armor from previous season by transfering them to eternaland
They DONT! I GUARANTEE YOU, they are expecting you to SPEND MONEY to BUY more astral sand to be able to transfer more and better items into the next season. Making the game PAY 2 WIN/PROGRESS.

1) You cannot buy Astral Sand
2) You get an amount of Material points each season to carry over stuff. Every item is allowed into eternaland.
3) Bought Currency can only be used on cosmetics
4) You cannot buy Material Points for money.
5) You KEEP ALL BLUEPRINTS WEAPONS TOOLS AND OTHER MATERIALS IN ETERNALAND

except it's not seasonal, it's a 6 week wipe and each phase is timegated at 6 day, so you don't really have the time of an actual season to complete whatever content they planned for the "6 week wipe period" you have 6 day for each phase, if you miss even one phase you are fucked.

Ok I'm confused. I realise seasons will reset but the eternal land is a single player instance where there will be no wipe and you can do everything there that you can in seasonal events?
@@Glitchiz their own website, under the "Seasons explained" page, point 3, they specify a "season" is a period of approximately 6 weeks depending on season goals. I don't really have a problem with that, as long as phases are not timegated, which they sadly are.

Agreed, its not fun or relaxing at all, it gives the game a massive taint, for example, killing floor 2 was a good game BUT!!! Tye lootboxes ruin it and the way gear works is just not ok so when asking friends to play its like yea nah its good BUT! wipes suck ass.
Honestly wipes can suck but also they can give a game longevity if done the right way
As a RUST player, I genuinely don't mind the wipe at all. It sounds very fair as long as Mimatics aren't rest.
The reset is probably the main thing that'll make me leave the game. Grinding just to have your stuff just get wiped seems daunting. Especially just to do it all over and over again. That will become very boring eventually. Especially with the seasons only being 6 weeks.

So you can save your house blueprint but won't be able to build it cause you have to level up again and unlock all the stations? Hows that gonna work, does it build half a base or you just can't build it until you unlock everything?

@@Glitchiz So technically devs want increase grind even more: First you have to grind mats for low tier version of your base, then for high tier... then wipe and repeat. Look like yet another good game killed buy stupid devs vision of fun.... Let us keep our bases and concentrate on new story!!!!

So since level gets reset and we keep blueprints, would that also mean that I’d need to level up again just to gain access to the material to make high tier blueprints?
yes. but u can carry over ur weapons as well. so keep your late game stuff to save on end game mats and just recraft the lower tier ones manually when u start over
Been looking for info on this, Appreciate the vid. Don't enjoy the leveling in games. I enjoy end game content. Not interested in leveling up again every season (Its why I didn't play D3 and D4 that much), but hope the game does great. Have fun on it dude!
check out this link: x.com/OnceHuman_/status/1811374795755491415 the reason they do new seasons is because its going to be all new content on potentially all new undiscovered locations on that map so yeas u will be re leveling but its going to feel like a brand new game every single time. not a repeat of everything all over again. all depending on the seasonal events some season may be much longer.
So do we keep all materials, consumables, deviatens, etc? And again how does it transfer? Do you transfer manually or does it do automatically whenever you start a new season
Building and crafting everything all over again every season sounds terrible. Even if you have the house blueprints, I doubt you'll be able to build it immediately until you get all the materials, unlock the skill trees; in short, a pain.

Having to full on restart and go through the entire memetic tree with all the unlocks over and over and over again is going to completely kill this game for me.
Some people like that in a game, but I have other responsibilities I have to deal with, so when gaming I don't want to have to grind something I already did 10 times before just for the sake of dragging out playtime.
Transferring "everything that matters" is definitely not the case here, as those are the very things that do matter to me. My time NOT being wasted doing the same crap over and over matters to me.
Such a bummer bc I absolutely love this game and most of what is here, but that's going to make me pass on picking it back up in future seasons.
@@ijmoney4539 exactly. I'm just playing this for six weeks and will move on to other games after the six week reset. Such a shame, I'd have played it to death if I could slowly build up my base/weapons/resources over 6 months or something - I don't think any adult with a job/family/other responsibilities can really put up with server restarts being 'fun' and 'fresh'. Just give us an endless server, I'm okay even playing the base game without the seasonal updates and just completing that in my own time.
Does anyone know what the wipe will look like after the season in detail? What interests me most is whether I can then switch my character to a completely different server, i.e. from a PVP to a PVE server.
u can create a new character on a new server at any time but it will be a fresh character from scratch again. so no new characters will not carry over

Not sure how I feel about this feature, mainly because I’ve never played many games with a wipe, but I’m willing to see how it goes 🤔 It definitely sounds interesting and I don’t wanna hate on it till I try it!

And how will I get to make purple items If I need loot from lv 28 areas and I am lv 1?
This explanation is useless since I was expecting to see how do I start after the wipe.
ur house blueprints get saved as well. u will have to refarm some materials probably but u wont have to rebuild everything. just pay some energy i believe and u can instantly rebuild your entire base over again. as for your weapons u wont be able to use max tier right away so save ur crafted max tier version for late game, and then because we also keep our blueprints u can simply recraft the older tier 1 version to use early on and then swap to ur max tier again once u reach the appropriate lvl
Let’s see if I understand this. If you do everything in game and they wipe it, why start over again. I did it once, don’t want to do it again and again. That’s sounds crazy to me.
new seasons wont be exactly the same as previous season. there doing the wipe to introduce new story arcs and open up new parts of the map that havent been seen yet

do you know about whats happening with the wish machine, are we gonna be able to get the same guns and gear through the wish machine or will they all be different ,etc?

- Keep 2 or maybe 4 of your best arsenal (weapons & armor) in check for season wipe/transfer.
(consider tools like pickaxe is gone, poof! season wipe)
- Keep house/base as blueprint (this has to be wiped, i mean look at the lagg it cause in starting area!!!)

Was really into this game until I discovered the wipe mechanic. Not going to continue, sadly. I enjoy grinding, but not redoing the same grind over an over. I'm too used to consistent progression, such as in ARK, and my playstyle is very architect-heavy. I know I'm going to be pissed when it vanishes in such a short time, even if I have some oddly designed mechanic to work to move it back, I'm not going to enjoy that process at all, so nah. It's too bad, I loved playing the game.

I'm wondering if you will be able to transfer the things earned in a PVE server to a PVP server in the next season using the eternaland.
I'm kinda regretting starting on a novice PVE, but from what I saw, the PVP content seems to be focused on clans, and I'm playing solo, I don't know if Im missing much
ur right about the pvp as for that specific scenario im not 100% sure i believe eternaland is account bound not character bound but let me asks the devs and get back to you :)

thats exactly what they do in this game... at end of season u can choose to either continue with the same current season or start the new one...

Others simply don't wanna start over. so i'm sure there will be loads of people hanging back and just continuing to enjoy the endgame stuff.
You can transfer your character and your everything, so I'm fine with that.

I'm honestly hoping not mentioning retaining deviants was simply an oversight or something of the sort.
Otherwise, until they implement some form of choice as to wither all the hard work and time invested will be wiped, I'm probably going to be doing the bare minimum, if I invest anymore time at all. At least until some type of resolution is achieved.
This being said, I am greatly enjoying the time I have spent so far and my only apprehensions stem from how much I do enjoy the game and how frustrated I will be if I have my hard earned rewards, and yes I also mean my little buddies, taken from me and am further required to essentially repeat a portion of the gameplay loop to artificially increase the amount of content.
In my experience, no one enjoys loss, in fact most people are averse to loss, and very few people enjoy being required to redo something that have already succeed at.
I honestly don't understand the idea of, what seems to me to be, an attempt to make the efforts of a hypothetical person who invests around eleven hours in a week and a person who puts in that much time in a single day in anyway equal. Making the game more openly and readily available to all types of players is awesome, and is something I will always applaud mind you, but not if that comes at the detriment of those of us who are hardcore completionist or even those who just attached to the things they've earned and fought for.

@Glitchiz thanks that's a huge deciding factor for me I don't mind a level reset or needing to re aquire resources but those feel just as if not more important than something like a weapon blueprint
These aren't jobs, they're VIDEO GAMES. These devs are absolute idiots. I would rather tear my eyes out being matchmade with randos in hard Void Intercept and Destiny raids and getting repeat wiped for hours on end. At least whatever is gained..... is KEPT.

I like the way Return To Moria handles carrying stuff between servers. Whatever is equiped and in your characters bag can be moved between servers. If this game where to do something similar it would probably make people a bit happier.

some of you guys never played rust or dayz but having a wipe is good gives everyone a free state n not everyone in endgame
Enjoyed the game but seasons arent long enough. Should be 3 to 6 months. What ever im not starting again i just dont have the time.
This game is only out a week, I can almost guarantee you if they do remove this it will double or st least by 30% in player population
So is what your basically saying you keep all your blueprints and cosmetics. All you have to do is gather the materials to re craft it ? And re level up but since there will be new stuff to do I’m guessing it won’t be hard
exactly but if u so choose u can also bring ur finished leveled up crafted weapons and armor with you as well u just have to spend some astral sand to transfer ur best end game gear to eternaland. everything u bring there and be brought back in after the next season starts... or u can just recraft it lol up to you

@@matthaberek yup! u can build anything and everythig u can think of in there for starters its like an open sandbox playground if u will. but it also acts as ur season to season storage depot. all crafting type items like stardust and starchrom etc get transfered to it automatically, but ur gear and end game equipment u want to keep u spend "astral sand" to basically transfer whatever specific gear u love the most over as well and that will stay there for u to grab and bring into the next season. worst case scenario... u at least keep all your blueprints automatically so after a couple hours in the new season once u get the right materials u could always just re-craft ur endgame gear again.. totally up to you. imo taking the time to get that astral sand and just transferring ur best stuff over ahead of time would be the best bet. that way youll have it right away as soon as u start

@@venomal4148 i played for 4 hours and am lvl 15 u lvl hella fast in this game. lvl 20 is nothing. just takes a couple hours.
So Astral Sand is what we need to be banking in Season 1? To take all things to Eternaland and into season 2 from Eternaland?
@@rizzlexo yes. Easiest way to get a shit ton for free is go into build mode in eternaland and literally destroy every bush and tree you’ll get tens of thousands right off the bat. Next thing I would recommend is going to eternaland and selling all ur duplicate deviants they sell for 500 astral sand a piece which isn’t bad for a duplicate deviant your never going to use I got close to 10k just from the dumb gingerbread houses I’ll never use lol
No astral sand is a currency used solely in eternal land .... Material points is what you will use to transfer items you banked back to the new season .... Kind of scary this dude literally just made an explanation video of this and then proceeded to mis inform you holy hell !!!!

Just to make sure i got this right, we will be spending some sort of currency to transfer items onto the new season BY importing these items in the internaland house and then exporting them to the new season world???(also , do we know yet want currency/meterial we need in order to prefarm?) @@Drgn1993 yes the currency is gathered by completing “commissions” within eternaland. I forget the name of them though. I get a ton of them for each commission though

@@Drgn1993 also little insider tip... go into build flight mode in eternaland and litterally destroy EVERYTHING. every tree, every bush, every pre made structure.. by the time that entire island is cleared out youll have like 50K astral sand right out the gate for free ;) more than enough for anything youll need to build or transfer

Seems pretty convoluted for no reason. If quest stuff saves then how are we going to level? Whats the point of letting us keep BP's if we have to regrind the whole game again to get to endgame level resources in order to craft them? Resetting on a game with so much MMO grind seems extremely annoying. I guess we'll have to wait and see but so far just seems like it's going to be a good reason to play the game once and never bother returning to replay all the boring early game grind over and over
Blueprints themselves can be leveled up, not just the weapons, it will take multiple seasons to fully upgrade a legendary blueprint. Quests reset, and change, world will change in some ways or have added areas depending on the seasonal story.
You'll be able to bring over the base you've built to the new season using the blueprint system they said. But you'll only be able to build that blueprint when you reach end game due to the material requirements 😅
It will build the base out of wood if that’s all you have at the time, game finds a alternative replacement if possible.
Server resets on PvE servers is FUCKING STUPID!!? NO ONE is going to grind this game LET ALONE SPEND MONEY just to lose everything in 6 weeks. Season wipes is a BIG MISTAKE!!? I BELIEVE this "astral sand" crap is just going to be YET ANOTHER way for them to get more money from you. Making it PAY TO WIN/ PROGRESS for people who are willing to SPEND MONEY to transfer more and better items into the next season.

Im the guy who loves to play tom clancy and dreaming to have a zombie mode and also im also that guy who loves to build houses like Sims. Kinda sad that i spent most of my time building my house for relaxation and watching those plants to grow and whats to improve in it.
I really dont mind about resetting the map, level, or even the energy link i just want to equip my weapon/gears see my house(not blueprint) and materials once it resets

No you do, you start at level 1 again.

You will have another base in Eternaland that will not be reset and you can put those things you unlock there, but not in the actual game servers.
You can create a blueprint of your house and everything in it from what I understand, but I'm not sure if you would then have to unlock the entire damn memetic tree with any items contained in the blueprint before you will be able to build from the blueprint.
Man reading all of these comments, feel like the devs should have given you early access to try a season wipe so you could be rock solid on the info.
You’re doing a good job explaining but honestly you shouldn’t have to. Doesn’t even seem like the devs are 100% sure what they’re going do yet.
Remains to be seen and hopefully it’s smoother than it sounds, but my main gripe, like a lot of others, is I really only have about 2 hours a night to play. Losing all memetics for the base building part which is what I’m really excited about is a bummer. And does kind of sound like you’ll get left behind on battlepass etc, if you choose to stay behind.
Double the time and it’d be a lot less of an issue.

u dont have to wipe. u can shoose to stay in the current season as long as u want or move up to the next season its your choice.

What can you take to a New Season?
There is item transfer rule, so it may be limited to only Consumables so don't expect to take your maxed out gear or weapons to a new season, they will be wiped.
We currently don't have more info on item transfer rule, it may change but i doubt because you can transfer items with a currency through playing Eternaland and it is Capped.
Sounds like Diablo iv. Season realm characters and non season stuff gets transferred to the eternal realm, and you start a brand new character on the next seasonal realm…
So I get to keep all the things that I can easily scoop up through gameplay, but I lose the tens of hours spent leveling up? Riight.. and you get 6 weeks to level up and do the endgame loop, and for maybe what a few weeks, then start all over again? Idunno man..
im halfway to max level already and have only gotten to play 2 days so far cuz ive been focusing on content u level super fast in this game.

@@scarletfoxfrostnovember3407 yes. I transfer to eternaland before the current season ends for temporary storage. Then when a new season starts u transfer them back from eternaland back to the real game

@@scarletfoxfrostnovember3407 everything except gear weapons ammo and medicine is automatic. Weapons gear medicine and armo u have to transfer manually
I didnt even knew this game would have wipes, and i guarantee 50% od players dont even know that wipes will happen, the moment they log in the game and dont see their stuff, they 100% gone

i believe u can store them in eternaland like other items, but ill ask the devs and verify.

good question probably not unless there is a way to transfer them to eternaland which there might be actually cuz they go in ur backpack

i believe deviations can be transfered to eternaland as a backpack item

ur mistaken on so many levels lol. 1 u dont lose everything, 2 u will not be grinding for 6 weeks ive finished all the seasonal content already and it only took me a little over a week. u level very fast in this game. u will be wishing the new content could come sooner once u reach endgame lol
well i never experience game that reset all the progress like rust, but tbh i want to see how it goes in Once Human, since i lvl up so fast in the game it just make it no sense since in survival game should be low paced style...well i dont mind to grind back the material back because i dont know what to do now in Once human now..hope the reset future in Once Human get better review

I started playing yesterday and today but glad I found out about the seasons so I can stop playing and uninstall. They are clearly looking for professional video game players and not us pleabs that have day jobs.
The season wipes will become very tyresome very fast. specially if you the Lone Wolf type, this game will be more for clans its definitely not for anyone trying to have fun as a single or casual player.

im literally done with the msq already in 1 week. u lvl very fast trust me 6 weeks is fine. and they may even decide to extend it the devs are having meetings about it.

I love playing this game and unfortunately I don’t get to play it for long (kids,work and etc) yes you can level up quickly but some people don’t have all the time in the world to level up quickly and do things quickly like you. If they are doing the resets every 6 weeks, they need to seriously re-think how this game will go long term. To do all the work while actually having to do “life” and coming to play the game you love being wiped. Absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary.
@@skierswide6271 my man I’m 36 years old have a day job and a newborn son…. That takes up 90% of my day if I can level quickly anyone can trust me. U just need to know what to focus on to level up properly. Weekly Commissions and main MSQ alone will get u to max level in two weeks tops with very casual play. Everyone thinks I’m just a creator grinding away all day everyday but I’m rly not lol all these vids I’m making is literally just for fun lol as a fellow dad I’m sure you know that with time we become very efficient with our spare time. Same goes for me I focus on the bare minimum requirements to reach my level goals and that’s all I do lol

I was just scrolling through some of the comments and just saw that we have a choice to stay and finish the current season/game I’m playing is that right? I was honestly disappointed because I was just so locked in on the saying “Season reset every 6 weeks” because I love gaming and unfortunately don’t get to play much so everything being reset was shocking but if I have a choice to stay for a bit and join - I don’t see a problem lol
@@skierswide6271 that is 100% correct at end of the last phase we will be given a choice for that exact reason u mentioned. If u came in late or didn’t have enough time u can temporarily choose to hang back and finish the previous seasons content fully first before moving on to the next season :)
This is dumb, why would they reset memetics and levels. Wiping base and resources isnine thing. But wiping progress is just ridiculous

tldr: this game is for people who dont have life outside the game because u have to work every wipe for map exploration over and over again. lol
Still the seasons arent cool ... its so hard timegated the content... and how about quests? Will i need to make ALL THE lame quests again? The story is shit, the one is voiced, the other not... the story it self is inconsitent...
So we're basically just restarting this game just as if we never had it lol. I don't see a bright future for this game.
the new seasons will include new content. lvl is the least of everyones worries u lvl hella fast. 1 week of casual play and u can be max level easily. plus if the new season bring in new zones and new content all together it will feel better going through it all with a fresh level anyways
@Glitchiz yeah that's not true at all. 86 hours over two weeks, I'm level 33. I'm pretty unfocused in this game, just doing some quests, loosely following the main story and building up my base. There is no chance in hell my playtime is casual by any metric. I'll have to see how the seasonal reset works before I make up my mind, but it's confusing at best. And before anyone says it's not confusing, look around. Everyone is confused. If you're not, I'm happy for you, but I bet you can't explain it and make it make sense.
@@SarcasticGherkin are you completing all your weekly commissions??? those are the most important youll get 3-4 lvls just off those commissions each week.

@@SarcasticGherkin just clear every settlement and do the secondary objectives while there as well you get bonus exp for a full clear as well.

Suck that you cant use youre gear when you enter a new season. If your character lvl wipes then you have 0 use of ll your gear you got. Hope they change that cause that sucks.
u can keep your gear if u transfer it to eternaland at the end of each season.

@@lillen141 if thats the case u also get your blueprints still so u can always recraft the tier 1 variation early game and then save your max tier endgame version for when u hit the appropriate lvl to save a bunch of materials

I can understand why there is a wipe on PVP servers, but why have it on PVE servers? I play PVE because i dont have 8 hours to play games everyday, and any kind of wipe makes the game a pass. Sad becuase the game is fun, though probably not for an old man with a job 😊
im an old man with a job and got to max lvl in under 2 weeks with everything 100% completed thats possible. u lvl very fast in this game. also the seasonal wipe will introduce new story content and open up new undiscovered locations on the map so it will feel like brand new content every time. its not as bad as u think trust me.

@@keilkeil7236 hardly 90%, and u also level hella fast in this game getting to max level took 1 week of casual play people are to upset over level resets when really its not as big of a deal as everyone is making it out to be. plus the new seasons will include new fresh content. so u wont be leveling through the same EXACT locations and content over and over again. we could end up starting in a totally new area of the map that we havent discovered yet for all we know
@@Glitchiz you guys are looking through a PVP lens, which I totally agree, seasonal wipes keeps the game Fair, and fresh, but through a PVE lens there's no reason to play with wipes in mind, everything thing New that will get added to the game, can be added on top of what already exists, New builds, seasonal blueprints, New map section, everything can be added on top, without wiping what we already have.
@@keilkeil7236 A Game gets boring if you dont have to do anything anymore. Games can only survive in 2 scenarios. First : wipe system or second : enough endgame content to play. Once Human is in my opinion not a game for endgame content in the long way. You also can save ur house. The only thing you have to do is to farm the materials for. Imo its not that deep. ALSO we know that Once Human is a wipe game. Why should they change it, just because people dont want to lose some of theyre items?
