It happened to me and now some rewards are forever stuck in that island without being able to transfer them to the server. They should just do it like Diablo 4. Have a separate world that doesn’t reset if you don’t want to compete in seasons. If you compete in seasons, after it’s over, your season character goes to the non season world.
The seasons are to give u more loot and story/things to do. Each season u can choose the book to read... go back and play ur fav or try a new one. It's not out yet but it's an amazing concept
The problem with Eternaland is that it's pretty much just a box where all you can do is walk around and build your dream base. You don't continue playing the previous season on Eternaland. That season is gone and all your stuff from there gets shoved inside a box where you will NEVER be able to use them in the next season. End of.

Eternaland claim to be tied to quest progress may be true, BUT i have to tell you i unlocked that feature by reaching level 20, wich i assume it is done for people who are not focus on the questline
The seasonal wipes are still strange but if its not fun ill be letting them know to change it, clan or family eternaland needs to be a thing, my partner, close friends and i should all be a able to contribute to a single eternaland.
So if I have my tear 5 weapon stored on the island then they wipe its resets my level meaning I can’t use the weapon or gear until I’m level 40 again it’s a stupid idea you’re just going to be constantly grinding every 6 weeks to get your decent gear back then a few weeks later they’ll wipe again starting you from scratch again I regret buying the battle pass now don’t think I’ll be coming back after wipe if I’m being honest
it is but just build your weapon for every level mark and upgrade it to its peak to improve progression. i’m a melee user i have the knife upgraded for every 10 levels
You and your mates can continue jsut remember to put ur deviants in ur base before the season wipe and they will follow you into the next one! good luck out there

I can tell yku without a doubt the bases in the main server will be like rust bases where there are common forms that people use because they have the best defensive properties. In rust you can always see the intentions of players by looking at their bases. Big honey combs means massive looting and storage with a possible zerg. Small 2 by 2 means solo base with loot stashes, tall round towers means roof campers, etc etc. Unless it's a role play server no one builds to look pretty in rust and in once human that will probably be the same thing. I think the seasons will be interesting. I'd like to see them put up some kind of rewards at the end of seasons thay gives players boasting rights for participating. Such as a seasonal player kill score that can be displayed on your profile or as a decorative feature on your base. Or your overall level at the end of a season or maybe you completed a hell of a lot of quests so there could be a rating for that too. I wouldn't even mind if they made a system where players had to buy Stat trackers for each season as a way to support the devs given the game is free to play. I'd like to support the game if they keep the business model fair to gameplay and I think small things like these could be cool

That was one of the reasons, but the main reason was because originally more items were being wiped every season (like blueprints). So they came up with Eternaland as a way to keep things between seasons.

Hey! Amazing video. Very well spoken and articulated. There are just a couple of questions I still have. You may have mentioned it in this video but I didn't hear it. Question 1: Is Enternaland the same Map as the Season map? Question 2: Does Eternaland have mobs, bosses, enemies etc Question 3: Is there any point or inscentive in playing in Eternaland other than farming currencies?
Honestly the only thing that I'm concerned about is how much material currency do we get like if I want to transfer over 50,000 tungsten ammo is it just going to sit in my eternal land inventory because I don't have the material cash to transfer it back to the regular server that I'm playing on. I honestly think that needs to be addressed prior to expecting anybody to transfer anything to Eternal land. Also there's really no point in transferring any High tier weapons and armor being as you won't have a way to repair it until about mid-game anyways, so realistically the only thing that would even be worth transferring is materials and ammo in my opinion
I don't know bro, during the week many people had 30+ levels. And considering that in the new season the completed quests will be simplified in order to pass them faster....

If anything they should be making content harder so that it lasts longer

Its for competition. people who have more time to play will dominate the map and make it unplayable for people who are just starting. puts everyone on the same playing field
People are not liking the wipes but i think it keeps things fresh on the maps. Gotta look at eternaland as like a big bank for loot from seasons and then with the option to have a steady source of reasoirces set up or even just a zen garden. I dig it enough
what happens to my house, crates and benches in the house when it whipes? stuff in crates it s automatically transfered? should i demolish every strcutre before whipping to keep thier materials or what?
@@RussKarlberg you keep some progression from previous wipes, its not a completely fresh start, also. You can just try different builds/ways to play the game when it wipes

6 week "season" is the dumbest thing ever. Imagine if a player comes in week 2 or 3, and trying to catch up and/or accomplish anything? It's going to be impossible. Resetting the player to level 1 every 6 weeks is crazy! It should be atleast 3-6 months if they want to chop the players this hard. I'm going to play the 6 weeks of this first season, and then I'm going to go do something else, which is a shame, because I really love the game, but I can't see myself starting from level 1 every 6 weeks having a family, job etc. It's just so dumb. No other game in history has ever had this short of a "season", and had the kind of "punishment" this game has. But I guess it all comes down to Being NetEase and wanting people to buy the season pass every 6 weeks to fund the game.
Eternal island is just similar to private island in Second Life. I am just wondering the powerful weapon, whether they can be used by another new level 1 after world wiped and restart.
Something I am wondering is if there is a level system tied to eternaland? I ask this because once use of eternaland that I can see is that you can do your resource grinding and what not in eternaland on the side and craft weapons and armor in eternaland at your "Main" base, then in your actual servers for PvE or PvP, you will make basically just FOBs(Forward Operating Bases) or Outposts for sleeping, eating, upgrading and basic crafting of ammo and heals. So this is where the question of levels in eternaland comes in, will my level somehow increase so i can access higher tier memetics and make higher tier weapons, armor, and materials in eternaland to transfer to the next wipe OR am I just stuck at some set level with no ability to progress further until the next season wipes and it is essentially a race to reach a higher level and unlock higher tier memetics before the next wipe? My concern is that if there is no level system in eternaland, then every new season when they ADD stuff into the game, the playtime demand is going to grow exponentially until you will be forced to set aside unreasonable hours of gametime weekly that frankly wouldn't be sustainable for your average casual gamer, essentially forcing this to game to only cater to streamers, hardcore gamers, and reclusive gamers/hikokmori, which would vastly decrease their overall player base. I love this game, but if in the end I would need to set aside like 40-60 hours a weeks to even hope to get to the end game/new content before the season wipe, I will eventually abandon the game because ultimately games are meant to be conquered in some way and if the main adversary is time, few people will be able to effectively overcome that obstacle.
To clarify, I LIKE eternaland as an idea, but the implementation has to be correct or it will very severely impact the overall enjoyment of the game. I am excited to see what sort of halo forge island-esque custome games and modes people come up with. I can already think of obstacle courses, PvP arenas, Race Tracks, Mazes, and it would be awesome if they implemented something like Deviant AI nodes so you could make a sort of Roman coliseum and have players fight bosses with varying level of armor and weaponry like gladiators, or add minor deviants to a maze and make it horror. The ideas are endless but again, the execution has to be there or ultimately it is just an additional aspect of the game that most players will neglect

What a stupid “solution”. Just make some permanent servers that don’t reset. I don’t want to grind out levels every reset, and it sounds like I’m not alone at all in that.
Wait I needto unlock Steroid season for higher memetics, but it resets you? So When do seasons end and Os a season actually seasonal or based on what you unlock as in stages of character factors or missions complete?
It seems that way. From my understanding, minus the blueprints and mod and cosmetics, everything else you essentially can Bank in eternaland. When the new season starts, your level resets but all of your stuff from the season prior will be in eternaland to be recovered in the actual Server you are in for a price. I feel the material points essentially ensure that crazy overpowered hives or warbands are less common since they can't maintain all their powerleveled gear and resources, there will have to be sacrifices made. For example, i am assuming that the higher tier loot that you want to recover will be worth more to recover from eternaland so it will force you to either choose to take your really good guns and limited ammo then have to quickly grind your level up to the minimum threshold to use said weapons, OR you can take lower tier weapons to use sooner, more ammo and other resources like consumables or building materials to get back into the game earlier.
I am primarily going to be builder in this game. I am only going to play the "game" part of the game to get the resources i need to build and design stuff. So i am going to build cool things in both places. I am looking forward to the wipes as a clean canvas for me to experiment on every 6 weeks.
Could you even send deviants? I know so far for eternal land, it's bugged on trying to transfer stuff to the world. I do have to say way too many currencies and micromanagement and restriction to transfer stuff to and from eternaland. They shouldn't put so much stuff that's needed to use eternaland. Each season having to restart over and over and over and over and over and over.....is a bad choice. Even with eternaland it's just more work giving players to make sure to move what they can, but they lose a lot of stuff. Energy link, level, progress of some stuff and deviants like wtf.
Okey my main problem is: If i saw corret you need to defait the final boss to unlokc your island so if you cant kill the final boss in 6 week for any reason life work family you almost got wiped cos cant save out anything and therfore you have a good chanse to fail again. I think the island should be free for anybody immediatly or the first boss . The only saving methold in a short seasoning is beating the game? Really.... Anyway i love the game i waiting it but need a saving option earlier.

@@luenz8265 that's the thing, we don't know. Every 6 weeks is pretty quick turn over, depending how many teams they have working on it they may not be much in depth. I come from path of exile where they're 4 months long but usually quite in depth. And they have two teams alternating from my understanding so 8 months to work on each one

I don't like this mechanic. For example I'm currently at marble, when I start over with blueprint, will have to use wood again. Then upgrade it to stone again and further. Not to mention it took time for me to hide all electric wires since I don't like them visible... etc. That would not be transfered with blueprint. Stupid never ending grind. Some of us have kids, job and just wanted to enjoy with friends from time to time.

6 week "season" is the dumbest thing ever. Imagine if a player comes in week 2 or 3, and trying to catch up and/or accomplish anything? It's going to be impossible. Resetting the player to level 1 every 6 weeks is crazy! It should be atleast 3-6 months if they want to chop the players this hard. I'm going to play the 6 weeks of this first season, and then I'm going to go do something else, which is a shame, because I really love the game, but I can't see myself starting from level 1 every 6 weeks having a family, job etc. It's just so dumb. No other game in history has ever had this short of a "season", and had the kind of "punishment" this game has. But I guess it all comes down to Being NetEase and wanting people to buy the season pass every 6 weeks to fund the game.

Eternal island is just similar to private island in Second Life. I am just wondering the powerful weapon, whether they can be used by another new level 1 after world wiped and restart.
Something I am wondering is if there is a level system tied to eternaland?
I ask this because once use of eternaland that I can see is that you can do your resource grinding and what not in eternaland on the side and craft weapons and armor in eternaland at your "Main" base, then in your actual servers for PvE or PvP, you will make basically just FOBs(Forward Operating Bases) or Outposts for sleeping, eating, upgrading and basic crafting of ammo and heals. So this is where the question of levels in eternaland comes in, will my level somehow increase so i can access higher tier memetics and make higher tier weapons, armor, and materials in eternaland to transfer to the next wipe OR am I just stuck at some set level with no ability to progress further until the next season wipes and it is essentially a race to reach a higher level and unlock higher tier memetics before the next wipe?
My concern is that if there is no level system in eternaland, then every new season when they ADD stuff into the game, the playtime demand is going to grow exponentially until you will be forced to set aside unreasonable hours of gametime weekly that frankly wouldn't be sustainable for your average casual gamer, essentially forcing this to game to only cater to streamers, hardcore gamers, and reclusive gamers/hikokmori, which would vastly decrease their overall player base.
I love this game, but if in the end I would need to set aside like 40-60 hours a weeks to even hope to get to the end game/new content before the season wipe, I will eventually abandon the game because ultimately games are meant to be conquered in some way and if the main adversary is time, few people will be able to effectively overcome that obstacle.
To clarify, I LIKE eternaland as an idea, but the implementation has to be correct or it will very severely impact the overall enjoyment of the game. I am excited to see what sort of halo forge island-esque custome games and modes people come up with. I can already think of obstacle courses, PvP arenas, Race Tracks, Mazes, and it would be awesome if they implemented something like Deviant AI nodes so you could make a sort of Roman coliseum and have players fight bosses with varying level of armor and weaponry like gladiators, or add minor deviants to a maze and make it horror. The ideas are endless but again, the execution has to be there or ultimately it is just an additional aspect of the game that most players will neglect
whats the reason for saving your items in eternalland? u cant bring them with u to a new season, and in etenalland there are no enemies or anything else to do exept just build, anything crafted in eternalland (food/items/gera) cant be transferd to a new season, i dont se the point? or im i missing something?

so you can SAVE stuff in eternaland and when NEW SEASON drops you can WITHDRAW the stuff you saved there with matterial points for USE in NEW SEASON ?
It seems that way. From my understanding, minus the blueprints and mod and cosmetics, everything else you essentially can Bank in eternaland. When the new season starts, your level resets but all of your stuff from the season prior will be in eternaland to be recovered in the actual Server you are in for a price. I feel the material points essentially ensure that crazy overpowered hives or warbands are less common since they can't maintain all their powerleveled gear and resources, there will have to be sacrifices made. For example, i am assuming that the higher tier loot that you want to recover will be worth more to recover from eternaland so it will force you to either choose to take your really good guns and limited ammo then have to quickly grind your level up to the minimum threshold to use said weapons, OR you can take lower tier weapons to use sooner, more ammo and other resources like consumables or building materials to get back into the game earlier.

I am only going to play the "game" part of the game to get the resources i need to build and design stuff.
So i am going to build cool things in both places.
I am looking forward to the wipes as a clean canvas for me to experiment on every 6 weeks.
Could you even send deviants? I know so far for eternal land, it's bugged on trying to transfer stuff to the world. I do have to say way too many currencies and micromanagement and restriction to transfer stuff to and from eternaland. They shouldn't put so much stuff that's needed to use eternaland. Each season having to restart over and over and over and over and over and over.....is a bad choice. Even with eternaland it's just more work giving players to make sure to move what they can, but they lose a lot of stuff. Energy link, level, progress of some stuff and deviants like wtf.
Okey my main problem is:
If i saw corret you need to defait the final boss to unlokc your island so if you cant kill the final boss in 6 week for any reason life work family you almost got wiped cos cant save out anything and therfore you have a good chanse to fail again.
I think the island should be free for anybody immediatly or the first boss .
The only saving methold in a short seasoning is beating the game? Really.... Anyway i love the game i waiting it but need a saving option earlier.

Depends how interesting they can keep each season changes. I do think 6 weeks is a little short though
Every seasons are exciting and have new contents. Maybe a new map, new missions or something else, we are not sure yet.

I come from path of exile where they're 4 months long but usually quite in depth. And they have two teams alternating from my understanding so 8 months to work on each one

every 6 weeks they will wipe ur base and everything you crafted inside your base, the whole transfer system is garbage, also most ppl wont bother with building new base every 6 weeks, whats the point, waiste of time, great game but they must change what they wipe otherwise after 6 weeks its a dead game
You will be able to save your base as a blueprint and place it down again when a new season starts.
I don't like this mechanic. For example I'm currently at marble, when I start over with blueprint, will have to use wood again. Then upgrade it to stone again and further. Not to mention it took time for me to hide all electric wires since I don't like them visible... etc. That would not be transfered with blueprint. Stupid never ending grind. Some of us have kids, job and just wanted to enjoy with friends from time to time.

Yes, I know there is option to hide them. When I said: don't like them visible, I ment like from one end to the room to the other big cable stretching... Need to see them where they are and what is how connected. Sorry but I'm crazy perfectionist.
