Huell visits two of LA's best hidden museums: the Hancock Library at USC and the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library, a rare book research library associated with UCLA. He ends with a couple of other hidden gems from the video archives.

So many things you could say here. As I understand it, this documentary is now about 22 or so years old. Even back then the Clark property in West Adams neighborhood was a walled isolated remnant of a bygone era in a changed neighborhood. Now, would anyone feel safe going there in 2024? Hope I'm wrong on that. As to Clark himself I've read some biographical stuff indicating he was both respected and controversial in his own time.

The woman mistakenly said that Hancock's lifespan was from 1875 to 1865, which would mean that he lived negative 10 years! I'm sure she meant he died in 1965.
