I've been wanting to upskill on the Desktop side of things and see that MD-101 and 100 are becoming MD-102 mid year with more of a focus on non-windows devices, which is what I know anyway. Keen to get cracking in 2023 with certs relevant and in-demand in the industry.

The SC-100 is on my radar but it should be noted that to actually obtain the full Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert certification designation, "candidates must also pass one of the following exams: SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, or MS-500. We strongly recommend that you do this before taking the SC-100 exam". I would recommend the SC-300 as Identity and Access (and Authorization, and Auditing) is the now the organizational perimeter in these days of WFH/WFA.

if u wanna stick to the M365 side of things go for the brand new MD-102 exam. I just finished the Expert MS-100+101 and I don’t recommend needing that for most roles. From there find a niche like Azure (az900, then az104 associate, then az expert) or security (sc900, then sc 300/200)
i’m currently working towards the security side of things after obtaining my desktop administrator expert. Done my sc900, was realty easy since i’m in the role. working on my sc300, and sc200 next to get better understanding of security capabilities in M365 and azure
