I feel like on my performance ehancing drugs as an ex-claymore main... Its R2 annihates groups in invasions. Ive had so many funny encounters where three were chasing me and I hooked a right in a door way and then let an R2 rip around the frame of the doorway slicing all three and stunlocking them for another. 2-3 shotting them all 😂. I used to think the Claymore poke was the best GS R2 but now I beg to diff when outnumbered...
Dude, I love the deflecting tear. I've been using it a lot myself in invasions and it's so much fun. Especially with quicker weapons like the light greatswords.
Solid fuckin gameplay dude. The Greatsword of Solitude was my first new Main weapon since choosing the Claymore 2 years ago. I love it. Spent 5 hours playing yesterday and got so much good footage doing Seamless Invasions. It's a powerhouse in the right hands.
strenght=SUCKS , boring and slow AF weapons , dex-faith is 10x better , not only in this dlc, also in the main game , only the godslayer greatsword , a dex faith weapon, is 20x more fun to use than any strenght weapon
My favorite thing about this sword is it’s excellent ability to block, I mainly play two handed in this game and having a great sword with this stability is quite nice
TBH I'd drop bullgoats, invasions are kinda blenders anyways, so there isn't TOO much of a difference between that sets poise and bg with that set. Put on something to either increase HP more or damage. Additionally 66 str should be enough to get to an effective 99, or if you want 54 to get two handed bonus to 80. Put the rest of those points into mind for more WA casts, or even faith for faith bufs.
Your videos are honestly great, you're good at pvping without being a sweatlord, all the builds you showcase are fun and creative and I always have a giggle with most clips. You deserve more subs and views dude, good shit :)
by the way if you deflect the RoB hits, whose exact timing I'm sure is ingrained in every invader's brain, you can riposte with a fully-boosted guard counter. it's safer to deflect the first 5 hits and then counter. deflecting only the first 2 is risky, the other 3 might still interrupt you. the last hit, instead, is pretty slow.

I never really guard with weapons so I don’t know if it makes a difference if you’re holding the guard or if you time it becomes a lower cost of him. Why the 125 point? It’s been a long time so I can’t really remember what all the thresholds are.
@@PoisonJarl71501 that was a deflect using the deflecting hardtear. It gives you a deflect when you block at the perfect time that drains significantly less stamina, blocks all damage, and empowers your next guard counter. There are many useful poise thresholds that are difficult to all list out
This is a nasty weapon especially if you hit them with the ash of war up close they get hit by the blade and ash of war, the follow up usually always kills. But I do have 99 strength. 😂 that haligtree spawn was the best ever
I would love for this sword to have a different moveset, i'd play the fuck out of it if it did. But i cant let go of the banished knight's greatsword and the claymore.
There are valuable poise breakpoints at 101 & 115. Full solitude only reaches 96, and I don't have the equip load for it since it's too heavy. I need to equip Gaius' Gloves with my equipment. Yes, I've been trying to figure out the best way to optimize this build before I do it! I Also might wait for a buff to the divine bird feather incant because it does close to 0 damage currently.
It really ruins my emersion when i see fat knights.... Like dude take a min to go change your charecter creation sliders to slim down some and make your dude look anatomically correct. Have some class.
strenght only build is the most boring build ever made , my sl225 dex-faith build will one-shot your solitude armor with my dual bolt of gransax at 50dex 70 faith , i will annyhilate you strenght= boring and slow af weapons , dex-faith or dex-int is 100x better than a strenght build also, good luck with a heavy and slow strenght weapon on the stupid fast dlc bosses , who only gives you 1 second opening to attack in their infinite combo moveset
I'm very much mediocre at ER and I've managed to beat all the dlc bosses on NG+1 with a lvl 75 character using only a large club+15. STR is totally viable for all the dlc bosses.
Man, playing DLC first weekend this weapon was so useful, and no one was talking about it at all
it's a great weapon, just got overshadowed by all the new weapon classes

The deflect tear is what made this video stand out. it makes such a difference in what other pvp videos try to do in utilizing the sword.

I think an intresting feature of the greatsword of solitude is that it strangely has good guard boost and good guard defences
