i must say that the difference between these "sq" cams are interesting. its almost as if someone have thought out before-hand that the features missing/available will be perfect so people will buy more than one camera, even though they only needed one from the start.
These 2 cameras are better compared to its competition from what I've seen imo, and for the price point it's definitely affordable to almost anyone. I'm gonna order them both thanks to your reviews 😊.
I stripped down an sq12 and put it on my micro quad protected by a little bit of epp foam I got a little bit better quality as my DVR camera delivers Also delivers great impressions on small rc cars like 1/32 to 1/10 Try it by yourself 👍
HI. Regarding "camera skip" video test. Is that test compatible with TH-cam's re/processing? I do not know if the frame rates are preserved by the time it reaches my workstation.

Gonna strap it to my airsoft sniper in the waterproof case, may even rip it apart and add a pressure switch to make it easier to activate on the field i mean what could possibly go wrong!!! The only downside for my usage case is that at 30fps its no good as a scope cam

Does the SQ13 start recording automatically when powered by USB in your car? When ignition/car is turned on - or do you have to press button or use app to begin recording?
I don't have the SQ13 but since they are not "car specific" products, they probably don't start recording automatically. you might have to press a button just like SQ12.
I believe you have to take the sd card (after you had it in the camera to initiate it ) and find the text file on there and change the date and time and then put back in the camera.
Hello, if I use the SQ12 as a surveillance cam, attached to a power source, is it ppossible to hook it up and leave it there by an undefined time, or will it shut off?

@@adriankentmutia452 That's the good question. If you look on Ebay, you will see that many of these have different writing on the case, which means many sold out there are fake (knockoff) SQ12 13 or 14. Try the gearbest links in the video description but not 100% guarantee either
Not really an area I have tested stuff in. I would probably rig up an action camera to a powerbank to keep it powered or get a dashcam but they generally power off when you turn the car off

How did you dismantle your SQ 12? Been thinking about doing the same thing myself but just got mine.
in sq11, the night vision/IR is disabled when connected to external power or just only usb connected.
The sq13 got much better picturequality in the video's you show. Better contrast, sharper image, more vibrant colors.

TH-cam supports 30 and 60fps then it would depend on the monitor your using.
Can it translate video by RTSP protocol?

I don't think it would be good for a motorcycle long term you would need something stronger

No sorry they last about an hour
So if the mini camera runs on the battery it only runs for maybe 1hr an a half but if it's plugged in can it run for a whole day or a few days?

Have you looked at the Quelima R3? Bigger and presumably heavier, but has awesome working time (at least on paper....).

Theres not alot between them in terms of camera quality but I think the build quality of the SQ13 is alot better and you get better battery life.
