Alison Roman is like the top car salesman with her recipes. You are convinced by the end of each episode that this is the most superior recipe on the internet
I live for Alison's highly opinionated position on every possible thing that exists. Crumbles are digusting, sandwiches are overrated, who needs bellpeppers, anchovies will rule the world, dill is king, use your hands to mix, salt your pasta water like the sea... *taking notes*
Alison is my best friend, if she had her own Fresh Direct, I'd order it every week. I made her prime rib for Canada Day, went one step further by stuffing the anchovies into the meat.
I used to go pick blueberries with my Native grandmother when I was a kid. I LOVE recipes that put forward wonderful North American ingredients (corn, blueberry in this instance); I adore this recipe, I will try ASAP! Thank you so much! :)
Made this last night and had a slice for breakfast! I rarely make desserts and this is my first tart. It was so easy and it’s delicious!! I had vanilla ice cream with it but whipped cream will be so good too. I love a drier, gooey pie and this tart is the perfect balance. No runny fruit!
Perfect! My French exchange student "moms" made tarts almost every day for our afternoon "café," and they taught me -- your technique would make them so happy.
This tart is sooooo easy to make! I made it four times last week on a family vacation and everyone raved about it! I did a blueberry, a cherry and 2 blackberry. this will be my go-to entertaining desert, it's just too easy!
I made this today, used frozen berries and thawed them on paper towels. Added an additional teaspoon of flour to balance the wetness. Can't wait to taste it.
I happened to have some containers of blueberries and raspberries that needed to be used ASAP so I made this tart, and it was amazingly good and super easy. Blueberry pie, who? I don’t know her. This is definitely going to be a new staple dessert for me. Thanks, Alison! 💗
Update: made this tart and it’s so amazingly good. I think I’ve been converted from a pie lover to a tart lover 😳 honestly the easiest desert I’ve made this year 🥰
This is as easy as you said. It was spectacularly delicious. I made it yesterday(7/18) and it’s nearly gone. Just two of us so we are greedy. I willl make this happen again. Thank you
Yes!!!! I miss blueberry season in MN in my twenties, this per usual is posh rustic beautiful mwugh!!!! Yum!!!!!!!! Oh Daniel, you guys have amazing fun chemistry even if it’s just friendship, I’m here for it.
What would happen if I used 1:1 GF flour? I’ve baked a ton of cakes GF, but I have never tried a pie or tart and the idea of trying and failing with precious summer fruit does not sound like fun. Because this looks glorious and I ❤️ the thought of blueberries and cornmeal.
Could you add an herb to this like basil or something to give it more of an aromatic flavor? If so would you add it after or add straight to the berries??
the “Previously On Home Movies...” lol where was that where she said a tart pan is the vessel she uses the most, when she literally said that about her 9” springform pan lol
Okay wait a minute so the different vinegar thing got me thinking, what about a balsamic and strawberry one of these? Maybe good? Does balsamic even bake right or will it end up tasting like a tire. I will need to find out now
Ima just leave this comment here cause I don’t have twitter anymore…. I am having a “wine & cheese” party with my friends - I am number two in the lineup and I want to keep this thing going with the group. You didn’t steer me wrong with egg nog and I love your recipes so curious what would Alison Roman do - wine & cheese, but I want to make a bunch of badass hors doeuvres and pair with some wines or whatever wine they bring. WHAT TO DO? (al la Allison Roman) also hope your good or on vacation.
This is by far the most unhinged the editing has ever been on Home Movies and I'm living for it. Also I'm on Dan's side with the hand comment. Usually there is a fish spatula in one hand and a bowl scraper in the other (except when it's in the car).
That’s a case of not having had a reeeeeealy good very delicious moreish crumble(yummy fruit topped with lots of buttery bits, and golden and crisp on top)
do you think Dan baked anything? let us know in the comments below
Definitely not
Nope.
If he really wanted to ...
we love you Dan. and those who love you know you did not bake anything
I'm with him, ok relax.

Gotta love the stances even if you totally disagree with some!
I get a kick out of it because I'm also particular and want my food a certain way. Why not make it exactly to your specifications?

I just want to sit on the opposite side of that island and drink wine with Alison while she cooks something incredible...She's just the best!
I've made this tart 3x since watching this and I just love the texture and flavor on its on! It seriously is foolproof. Definite keeper!

adding anchovies into meat, can't get more peak Alison than this (unless maybe you seasoned it all with dill.)

Awesome! 💗 Carrying those memories forward. As a Grandmother, "Grammy Pammy" I love these memories!
Got to disagree on the 'crumbles are disgusting' position: a good crumble is a thing of wonder and joy. Blackberry and apple is the best. Ever.
Yes!!!
I think sometimes crumble relies too much on being a crumble and the balance is all off

I love how they trolled AR with the pie clips lol
:>
This tart looks amazing! And your delivery is always priceless!

I love that this video is trying to start a feud with Past Alison.
I will be taking the subtle aggression toward crisps personally.
the yassification of blueberry pie 😍 I have to make this now
Update: made this tart and it’s so amazingly good. I think I’ve been converted from a pie lover to a tart lover 😳 honestly the easiest desert I’ve made this year 🥰
Please arabi
Made this with a mix of sour and sweet plums. Amazing and the fruit set beautifully!
I make this every summer and it's so so good. THANK YOU
the editing of this video = so good!
Thanks for continuing to share your gift of cooking with us… love trying the recipes you make , you make it fun and thanks for keeping it real❤
Whis tart was literally easier then banana bread! A huge summer barbecue success:D So sweet and sour... Next time I will try it with currants.
It looks gorgeous Alison, and I bet it tastes very delicious too! I’m imagining all kinds of fruit fillings (even 1/2 and 1/2)
the pie shimmy lolol
First time making a tart, came out great. This is a perfect start to the day with my morning coffee !!
Mint Chocolate Cookie! Omg, the BEST flavor of ice cream...yes.
the flashbacks to the pie video had me crying, thanks for this :)
I just decided that I will never make a pie again. It's tarts from this point on. Thanks for another great recipe, Alison!
I just bake your recipe and it is delicious and amazing. Thank you.
love to imagine Alison’s constantly growing collection of fresh direct totes overwhelming her apartment
Mmm-mm-m! This is the most pretty blueberry cornmeal tart I've seen! 🤤😍
That looks and sounds amazing. Will try it today.
so fine.!!!..thnx for this easy recipe!! i am serving it tomorrow nite with friends!!!!
Looks Scrumptious! 💙

you cook really nice I HV tried mony of your receipe and the turned out amazing💯💯💯✅✅💫👍
The cutback to apple pie had be dead.
Also…would you advise against frozen bluebs?
I’m thinking frozen would have too much liquid but would also love to hear her input as I always have a bag of frozen bluebs on hand
I would defrost them then boil down the juice before adding to filling
Bluebs!
Nice video, nice blueberry pie recipe, Alison. Greetings from Chile.
I was recently considering getting rid of my tart pan, but it shall be granted a reprieve in order to make this. It looks so good 🫐
Made this yesterday, delish.
Bake her for my SIXTH blueberry cornmeal tart lol … you would think i’d have it down pat by now.
I love everything you make. But. I also love crumbles, pies, etc.
Yay just in time for blueberry season! ☺️🫐💕 They’re my new favorite fruit, so I can’t wait to try this recipe! 😊✨
Made it today. Looks amazing!
Perfect for a beautiful presentation!
Great recipe , going to try this in my bbq 👌👌
Alison, you have such STRONG feelings about crumbles. Guarantee you’ll change your mind if you make Cheryl Day’s blueberry buckle. You’re welcome 🙂
IN acting more like EN
@@davidcho0828 Maybe 😁
Make sure you use a finely ground cornmeal. I used Bob's Red Mill medium grind and the tart lasted like it contained sand. 😢
"Crisps" eaten warm haha! Brits just died listening to that sentence
you are gold, never change

Chiara Giovanni Please post here if you do.
Will try with blue corn meal & cold pressed corn oil
You really doing the best
Nicely done

Yo it’s Thursday Allison, I’m hungry..
the “Previously On Home Movies...” lol

i mean it both times

In a few years, some psych is going to put their kids through college on Dan’s PTSD from this episode.
Can I use frozen berries? Fresh is hard to get here at the moment and they are very expensive?
Wow, those are some really big blueberries!
Nice one
Haha so mean to Dan.
that is amazing.
Can I make it with frozen blueberries?
yes!
can this be made with gluten-free flour?
What size tarte pan should we use?
Just read the recipe! 9 inch it is. This is exactly how I like pies. No runny fruit! Thank you!
Wow
Love the tart! Alison, perhaps you can persuade your sponsor to carry Diamond Crystal kosher salt? V frustrating that they do not! Thanks :)
I've gotten Diamond Crystal from FD before! Maybe it's just out of stock rn???
@@davidcho0828 Never seen it stocked in 10+ years of shopping there-at least not in NYC

anyone know what chef's knife that is?

Isn’t this a cobbler, or is that technically different? Looks lovely though. 👍🏻
Cobbler has biscuits on top and no bottom crust!
@@tpn1110 That's how my mother made it, but for some people cobbler has a pastry crust, sometimes even lattice. Only on top though.
Nice video
You did not ask for requests but I’m just gonna put it out there: please make a video for the famous ham party

I strive to use "I've learnt through personal growth" once in my life... so far not going great lol
This video would have been better if it featured more fish spatula action. I’m sure Dan agrees. 😁
I really also want a link to all her outfits
Yeah it's a nice shirt

“Crumbles are disgusting”……… girl.
I felt attacked, too.
Alison is just particular, I was hurt when she said she hates all scones too 😅
We all have our preferences, but the way she expresses hers are borderline obnoxious….
