Four minutes in (after watching your A5 rings review), and I already see something I want to implement for 2023 once I am out of my undated daily for work…having a separate notebook for meeting minutes IN my planner system rather than hauling around a separate notebook. The notes section might have less pages than a bound notebook, but it’s easily replaced in a TN type setup.

I’m newly subscribed, and I’m loving this series, but the sound of your voice when dealing with this paper just cracked me up 😂. It’s funny because I’m sure that most of us planner people can feel your pain. I personally would give you permission to just let this one go!

Paper penguin Co has inserts with tomorrow 160 pages....true.. inserts are important. Also Planner perfect inserts are great

I feel for you, Lora. Paper does matter. This could be your conclusion and you can move on to the next.

After thinking about your video some more, I am wondering if you might try to focus more on the structure....the inserts to section your content and creating layouts. You can always change inserts and move to an A5 TN or standard size because there are better paper choices for inserts in those sizes. I just suggest this to "help you out" since you know that the paper is the issue and try not to let that overshadow the TN concept.

Stinson Paper company will make custom sizes too in 24 lb smooth paper. I love my wide. It’s a big writing space yet small enough to carry with me if I need to.

I love the TN but I can’t handle paper I hate. I would love to see you do the system with paper you love. I feel your pain. Aren’t you glad we all voted biweekly instead of monthly? 😅

Yeah, I cringed with you. But when I look through my old Moleskines, I remember some really good layout and designs that I could use on "better" paper or cover with creative stickers; I'm sure you have a huge stockpile. Good, bad and definitely indifferent, I'm looking forward to see what happens. To say the least, they make good scrap sections.

When you added the sleep and step tracker the bicycle from the previous spread is also visible. So disappointing.

How I see, the problem is not with the traveller's notebook system just the Moleskine notebooks... Those papers are very thin and see through... 😅

Ughhhh, I can totally hear your dissatisfaction in your voice. I can tell that you have absolutely no enthusiasm to use it. The reason I chose the A5 TN, is because I could easily get inserts with the paper that I like, and have several choices with paper. I do absolutely love the A5 slim or Wide TN, even better than the A5 but I could not find inserts that I liked. I'm not big on staple bound inserts unless they are Midori/ That is what is nice about the Moleskine notebooks having the sewn binding but the paper!!!!! I used to like the paper when I only used paper mate flair pens - when I was in grad school but since I've become a part of the planner/stationary community all that has changed! Isn't it funny how things like paper can totally turn one away from using it.

I have always loved the size of the Moleskein books but NEVER the paper. I don’t mind the ghosting but I CANNOT handle the bleed through. I can hear from your frustration that maybe, just maybe you may not keep up with this but I’m wishing you luck! 🫣
