I love how tiny Stephen's pillow is, it's like as soon as Kermit and Stephen pulled up to the viewpoint Stephen forgot to bring his own pillow and Kermit very sweetly packed a second pillow just in case, but forgot that Stephens head is much bigger than his but Stephen was just so endeared by Kermit's generosity he used it anyway.
A bunch of people seem to know you now from some fangame, but they will never know just how amazing a 3 eyed smiley face in a Link hat taking the Golden Gate Bridge out of a bottle so he can cross a canyon can be.
With all that is changing in the world of 2020. Its so nice to be able to see the muppets and be able to smile and be lost in it, for a few moments. Thank you Jim, for the gift all those years ago! RIP
uh yeah...he's a frog puppet, of course he's cute, just like any stuffed animal. Wait a minute... does Kermit turn you on?!?!?!??? No one said anything about him being "attractive"
Normally its a flat set piece but isntead you can see the curves in the grass and the blanket, revealing that its more on a raised platform and or couch, kermit in this case is operated by two puppeteers, one under the blanket with hand going into the back of kermits neck, the other behind the camera working kermits hands and knees.
Stephen: Kermit, do. you think we have free will, or is someone controlling our every movement? Kermit: (looks at himself) Uhh . . . Gee, uh (wags his arm) . . . Huh, I guess I never thought about it! 😹 I love Kermit! ❤️
Just when I thought there were too many talk show people with the same name, we have stephen Colbert and Stephen whitmire (performer of Kermit the frog). Not to mention there’s Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy kimmel and the original performer of Kermit was Jim Henson.
Those were happier, simpler times when Stephan had enough time that he could relax and have a meaningful conversation on his show, instead of having to cover and react to all the insanity going on in the world now.
About the "How many roads…" answer. At first I was briefly disappointed that he didn't say 42, but then I was glad that he didn't. I know h2g2 is good, and don't need it confirmed by constant references. (And that goes double for Python btw.)
"Hey Kermit the Frog?"
"Yes Stephen the Person?"
I cracked up. Never thought about it that way
1:33 so genius!
I've always answered that way when he speaks to someone..
I love how all the adults _lose their shit_ when they see Kermit. We're so mature. xD
Dillon Ohlemiller True. ;D
There's no point in being grownup, if you can't be childish sometimes.
@@sweiland75 someone watched Doctor Who
@@sweiland75 true
Kermit is an Icon to many.
I think Kermit needs to branch out in his acting career. He's pretty much just accepted as a regular actor lol. We all think of him as "alive".
+theaudiotinker You mean he's not? ; )
Petition for Kermit to be the next Spider-Man now pending.
Adam Martinelli Miss Piggy will have to be Mary Jane, you know. *: )*
Wait you're saying he isnt?!?
@@adammartinelli8274 He would be the Spider-Frog. He'd fit right in to the world of Spider-Man: into the Spider verse.
Kermit might as well just be a real actor as this point
Id watch him in a Chris Nolan movie
The future's going to be weird, man.... hopefully in a good way.
Pickle Master Technically, since he starred in the Muppets movies, he is.
He is! I'll hear none of this doubt!
Considering he has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, I would say he is a real actor. Not one of those B movie actors on the Syfy channel.
Aww, that's so nice!
i think they are both just neck pillows.
This is my headcanon now
Kermit's regret was my favorite
I did not expect to see you here
A bunch of people seem to know you now from some fangame, but they will never know just how amazing a 3 eyed smiley face in a Link hat taking the Golden Gate Bridge out of a bottle so he can cross a canyon can be.
+ben page Why not? Or did you just want to say something pointless to get his attention?
+smokejc I was bored so I type something
For some reason, I was expecting him to say Muppet Babies.
Pause at 2:27. The look of a gigantic little kid who just got to high five one of his icons xD
Haha he couldn't hold back that smile. He is so fucking charming
You can't contain joy like that love :P
Svart fra Sør i
Stephen's so sweet.
"You're gonna have to hit me buddy"
"Yes Stephen, the human." xD
*person
@Shahd Almalky why do you think it's mandela effect
This should be a weekly segment...talkin about life with Kermit
yeah totally kermit should be colbert's permanent sidekick teehee- if so this show would outshine all the others almost too well though
It already is. I like the other talk shows too, but I like this one just more in general. I just sense that Stephen works harder.
That would be soooo good
In lieu of the long lost Deep Thoughts, by Jack Handy
that "Free will" part killed me XD XD XD XD
Dibs on all his stuff!!
anyone else notice that they've got each other's pillows?
No, I did not -- but it's brilliant; thanks for pointing it out
I see it it probably so the puppeteers can move there hands
It’s soo small
Oh, that's true! :) I didn't notice it before. So cute this little sketch. I like muppets :D
Yes
BTW ... that is some kick ass puppeteering.
Lots of experience I'm sure
Stephen looks almost real!!
LOL that slow leg close when he realizes...
"How many roads must a man walk down before you can call him a man?"
"Oh, that's simple. To get to the other side."
Profound.
+Joshua Pruitt how many seas must the white dove sail...
I didnt get that, can somebody explain?
+Joshua Pruitt 42
+Joshua Pruitt You're walking down the street when you you just had to cross the road.
+Joshua Pruitt Chickens, Its about Chickens.
Stephen: What’s your worst regret?
Kermit: Signing up for high school biology class.
Me: *0__0*
This made me grin like an grinning idiot. Adorable.
Kermit For President 2020!!!
Lets get a puppet with morality this time!!
greatest comment here:)
The Frog/Bear 2020: It's Too Easy Being Orange
I would be so proud of America if we elect our first green president.
The symbol of the Green Party! I would vote for him in a heartbeat.
*Muppet
Interviewing Smaug, high fiving Kermit, man Steven leads an enviable life.
+sogghartha Big questions with Smaug....yeah, that's it!
God, that sequence would cost millions of dollars to animate but it would be so worth it!
Playing Dungeons and Dragons with Matthew Mercer for charity. What a life, man.
As someone who grew up with the Muppets, I love it when Kermit shows up.
Me too
8 is a pretty big number. Because if you put it on its side, it stretches to infinity.
It is amazing how the person who controls kermit thinks so fast and thinks in a way that he is really a frog.
8 is just sideways infinity so...
ohhhhh
Fantastic!
Oh tq
HEY COLBERT! THANKS FOR ADDING CLOSED CAPTION TO YOUR VIDEOS! THE DEAF/HARD OF HEARING COMMUNITY REALLY APPRECIATES IT!
I love how their pillows are switched :))
With all that is changing in the world of 2020. Its so nice to be able to see the muppets and be able to smile and be lost in it, for a few moments.
Thank you Jim, for the gift all those years ago! RIP
Man, this was by and far one the best interviews I've ever seen.
SC: "You think money can buy happiness?
KF: "You're talking to a man who doesn't have any pockets."
Me: (facepalms) ha!
I wonder if frogs hang out in marshes nearby where outdoor parties are going on with a lot of people chattering, and listen to them relaxedly?

1:32 lmao loved Kermits response. Yes Stephen the person 😂
Kermit was so good that when he was asked about freewill I forgot he was a puppet.
the frog really needs more movie roles , the most versatile frog in the business
The best part about this is it’s still kid friendly because Kermit is predominantly for children, but he’s self aware which substitutes for it.
This is the best one yet. I don't know how you guys could top this, to be honest.
+The1AndOnlyGoldenboy An ANIMATED childhood icon.
they missed the question: "Hey, Kermit? When will we find it, the rainbow connection?"
someday
That audience reaction to Kermit is priceless.
Stephen: “Kermit, what’s your biggest regret?” Kermit: “Signing up for highschool biology class” 🤣🤣🤣
Oh, there are SO many perfect muppets to choose from for this segment..! DO MORE!!
No matter how old you get, the Muppets will always bring a smile to anyone’s face!
I don't care how old I get - Kermit and the rest of The Muppet crew will always be a part of my life.
It’s scientifically impossible to dislike Kermit.
Two of my favorite beings in the whole world.
Gotta Love Kermit
This is a timeless classic series of sketches. Don't stop making these!
I like that response at 2:00 with the given question.
High fives everyone!
Sad Stephen didn't ask "Kermit, why are there so many songs about rainbows?"
What an artful way to handle Kermit ! Just watch his movements. It is just beautiful ! The questions are incredible. Great Both of them were great !
I'm juts glad Kermit survived high school biology classes.
“Kermit, if you could go back in time, what would you tell yourself?”
“I’d say whatever you do don’t make Kermit Swamp Years.”
These make me laugh cry and smile along with a bubbly feeling
Anyone else think that Kermit looks kinda cute, like not in an attractive way kind of like a cute baby or cute teddy bear
+Beelzebozo Bill This is Bill. Bill can read your mind. Bill is smart. Be like Bill.
uh yeah...he's a frog puppet, of course he's cute, just like any stuffed animal. Wait a minute... does Kermit turn you on?!?!?!??? No one said anything about him being "attractive"
+Gavin That is very defensive
I laughed way too hard at your response.
It's one of the mysteries of life: Muppets are cute, people who look like Muppets are ugly.
that was so good. im gonna watch it a second time.

I also like 8 as a big number because if you lay it on its side it is ♾️
I hope your wife isn’t jealous since you guys looks so romantic together😂😂😂
2 Legends Asking The Important Question!
You're gonna have to hit me stephen. Cracked me up so much, lol.
I enjoy watching Kermit but I was wondering how he is actually puppeteered there.
They arent laying down. they are laying against a platform made to.look like they are laying down. rhe grass is cgi
Understage. Muppets are built like that.
Love Kermit the frog! 😘😘😘
Stephen: Kermit, do. you think we have free will, or is someone controlling our every movement?
Kermit: (looks at himself) Uhh . . . Gee, uh (wags his arm) . . . Huh, I guess I never thought about it!
😹 I love Kermit! ❤️
Good thing you wrote that out. We never would have heard it
Destined to be a classic👍😄👍
Stephen: I love listening to all those frogs.
Camera: pans over to show Kermit
Audience: completely loses it
Just when I thought there were too many talk show people with the same name, we have stephen Colbert and Stephen whitmire (performer of Kermit the frog). Not to mention there’s Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy kimmel and the original performer of Kermit was Jim Henson.
That show deserved more seasons.
I miss steve whitmire as kermit. Sure he may not have been as entertaining as jim henson but he still gave kermit some personality
He was just as good as Jim. Jim was the best of course.
I could watch them talk for hours
Ok but, am I the only one that felt the high five part genuinely is heartwarming?
I've never seen anyone not smile when talking to a Muppet.
Those were happier, simpler times when Stephan had enough time that he could relax and have a meaningful conversation on his show, instead of having to cover and react to all the insanity going on in the world now.
Who is this stephan
4:06
Ha! Ha!!!
I wonder what Kermit felt when Henson died...
+Valter Östberg He must have had a huge lump in his throat...
+Valter Östberg A little hollow?
+CanadienAtheist dang. beat me to it
+Valter Östberg A Shell of his former self.
+Valter Östberg "One guy less who is up my ass all the time."
The other day I was mowing and a frog jumped under my lawn mower, killing himself. I guess he was trying to... Kermit suicide
ugh *pulls gun out* leave
x_x
+Simon Wipf too soon bro. just too soon
+Simon Wipf I don't think so, I think he was trying to blend in.
Upton Robotics Pty Ltd drops the mic...
Stephen you should trademark 'questions' 😊
Kermit looks to Stephen
"When you're withered and old I will look the same..."
Kermit is actually older than Stephen -- he debuted in 1955.
I don't think I've ever had a deep philosophical conversation that *DIDN'T* involve Kermit the Frog.
This is just too perfect.
Lmao that was one of the best "ask the big questions" skit
This sketch had better writing for Kermit than the actually Muppets television show...
This, by far, has to be my favorite Stephen Colbert segment ever.
Two of my favorite people, right there.
Twilight Zone AND Kermit? It must be my lucky day.
Kermit the Frog has always been one of my favorite "Muppets" Characters growing up!
:)
A missed opportunity for the question: "Why are there so many songs about rainbows?" But a great vid nonetheless.
HE JUST PROMOTED AN ABC SHOW ON CBS WTFWTFWTF
About the "How many roads…" answer. At first I was briefly disappointed that he didn't say 42, but then I was glad that he didn't. I know h2g2 is good, and don't need it confirmed by constant references. (And that goes double for Python btw.)
The free will joke made me spit out my drink
I didn't know I needed this!
I love the cheering for Kermit 💚💚
I love her for the same reason, Stephen.
0:07 someone said me too
Stephen and Kermit are brothers. Love them both.
was waiting for that kermit flail!
This is so wholesome
"Hey Kermit?" "Yeah Stephen?" "What do you think a frog/pig cross would look like?" "I imagine... Steve Buscemi."
It would actually be called a fig.
Always love the muppets ethos...charming
It was fun while it lasted, Steve.
The 8 dislikes are amphibian-phobic.

No, it's just the biggest number.

Who is cinemasins?
+popc52 yes.

Thank you
I've never seen this clip. This was so good! Stephen, you should have a video chat with Kerman. That actor is really funny.
Oh dear..I have been binged watching Colbert on TH-cam.
OMG, are The Muppets really on ABC on Tuesdays at 8:30?
Seriously, are they back?! :D
2 of my favorite TV personalities
Omg loved it !!
High school biology class.
