Man it's so nice seeing a story that's just the natural beginning and end of a dynasty instead of the 100th Jewish all female anglo saxon Rome run. I wish paradox added more mechanics to symbolize the decay and downfall of dynasties.
I agree on the blademaster trait. I've really only seen it come up in my sons, who get it and then kill themselves in a duel before they can inherit everything (because they've got hte trait)
In my Byzantine playthroug,Normandie dynasty settled in Saharan Africa.Their realm split and one of them turn to Muslim, the other one stayed Asatru.Really cursed game
I like the new format, and I especially like how the ending is not just infinite growth, but you actually show your dynasty fall. Maybe it would've been nice to observe from the outside for a bit more after the end though
Currently doign a Rollo campaign now as well! What a coincidence. Manage to marry Rollo to one of Alfred's daughters and now my son Robert is intelligent and just married an inteliigente Karling. I am 3rd in line for the Kingodm of England, I will build my armeis now and will press my claim soon enough!
This is a good bit of fresh air. I am by no means good at CK3 but I find my campaigns typically go on to be total dominance. It’s so nice to see an ending where it isn’t just this random count shows up and establishes the God-kingdom of Suchnsuch and rules for a billion years. I should really do a run that doesn’t touch inheritable traits. Win by pure merit rather than just going through life because I am smert
Die Normandie house didn't get ousted. They died out. The First Anjou king was the son of the last Normandie ruler. The Blois house did try to oust them but failed
Ck3 is a great game, but for experienced players it’s way too easy to snowball out of control with your first character. I like the self-contained stories like this one as a good middle ground.
It's kind of dumb that you can't raid while unlanded, since historically, alot of viking raids were unorganized and mainly came from adventuring parties completely independent of any state or tribes.
My name is Hazar (Khazar in Turkish) and it was a pleasant surprise to see a Khazar lord in East Anglia in this run. It was already a pretty interesting playthrough but Tarkusarkusar, you never disappoint my man.

a big start would be less kids, or more kids dying. characters have too many kids, I once saw a chaste, infertile count with like 5 kids
@@qhu3878 i don't think they were his
who’s the one guy who’s been waiting since Saturday
this video is so good but bittersweet since its his last CK3 video before becoming a full time HOI4 youtuber.... 😢😢 we wish you luck Tarkus!
He will become hoi4 TH-camr?
Why?😢
That's a shame.
Is this true?
8/10 troll

fun fact: Charles III is a viking descendant
Gotta say I really enjoyed this video. The ending was a bit unfortunate, but still good
Just found this channel. I love the story commentary please make more like this
Very fun little video, really inspires me to try to do something like this in the game myself
Love this so history like maybe not trying to dominate the world every game should be the way
I never usually comment on TH-cam videos, but this is easily the best CK3 video I’ve ever seen. Good job

Player don't get Blademaster exp because they can never fight as a "knight" properly killing units with their prowess.
You can if you have the more single combats mod, makes it pretty realistic

this exact thing happened in my last game the normandies took control of france england, africa and very briefly Sicily, the AI did all that
I love your story telling method.
Paradox NEEDS to add another camp type for raiders/vikings.
I'm complete partial on commenting on your new style of series since I love everything you throw at me. So, like wise, please continue the series :)
