i realy loved Winamp .. i use it sience 1995 ... oh my god i missed that time.. everything was GOLD

Its 2021 and I still use Winamp, it really whips the llamas ass.
2018 and I'm still using Winamp :) It's a no fuss music player.

One of my favorite memories is listening to my mp3s on Winamp while talking irc late into the night bAck 22 years ago

It is 2021 and I still use Winamp. I purchased it because it was the best mp3 player out there. It still is. I have used many mp3 players in my time, and I always go back to Winamp. Thank you Justin for your creation. I love it and use it often even in 2021.
I'm still using Winamp today. Best music player I've ever used.

Winamp , VLC , Media Player Classic is all you need to play anything under the sun in my days
I had WinAmp running on my desktop 24/7 for years during the late 90’s, I can remember wasting hours browsing and customizing the coolest “skins”, it even became competitive at work amongst some of us LOL. Also reminds me of playing LAN games (8 person max haha) at lunch... Quake, Descent, Warcraft, Command & Conquer... those were the days!!
I'll use WinAmp until it no longer works. I may not use Dremples anymore with it, but I still play all my individual MP3s with WinAmp.

@@sammmm87 Paid Spotify uses Opus, which beats Vorbis, which beats MP3.
I just re-downloaded Winamp. I like that online radio stations still use the platform.

winamp was THE player where you could download an iPod skin that had an actual working clickwheel (rotate to move cursor)

Frankel makes my day, but you don't hear much about him anymore.
I like this guy and the general philosophy of making something easy to use on the surface but having a load of more advanced configurability beneath so you as the user can decide how it looks and how it works. Software development these days has gone down the dumb-it-down Keep It Simple (keep it) Stupid route and now that UIs have deteriorated into touch-screen friendly, everything-else unfriendly, that configurability is needed more than ever to sort it all out! I also hate this stupid trend Apple started of putting the negative response before the positive response on all of their dialogs - they've even gone as far as having "No" "Yes" dialogs instead of the correct way around of "Yes" "No" - why can't I configure it my way?! Why has this backwards-ass UI design now taken over the web too?! Give the power back to the user!
Too much of our society has been dumbed down from newer technology.
Good thing VLC is still here ;)
RIP WinAmp
iTunes was going flaky on my Windows 10 laptop, not finding MP3s, CD album artwork, etc. Eventually, I got fed up with this "rotten apple" and Uninstalled everything. I had copied "20th century" MP3s from my MacBook Pro and began to reload them onto the Windows 10 "Music" folder. I decided to give Windows 10's "Groove Music" player a try and things have gone well. iTunes on my Windows 7 laptop has track display problems, which is enough to look for alternative digital music players, even "20th century" Winamp. I still have iTunes on the Mac laptops, but since this program has been ditched by Cupertino, I may yet "whip the Llama's ass.";)

Well, oh well, the Corporate screws have officially whipped the Lama's Ass! Then they have nothing to match. All we wanted was to listen and sea our music in a multitude of Mandelbrot code formations that were sensitive to the music and so much belter than a little snow man or multi thumping registrar bars, agreed!. What we had was access to play our personal music via the ground-breaking platform and guess what guys we are not all iTunes oriented. We have all our collection of music. Mine is about close to 750,000 songs that only a few are on ITunes as I ripped them privately.
