@@joeytroutman9506 the guy I bought it from worked a a rock magazine, he told me that most platinum records are just plated / painted excess stock albums, they make hundreds for every platinum album and give them to everyone who not only worked on the record but also who work at the company or magazines that promoted it. It's just a production gimmick.

I found that watching the included video with the stereoscopic glasses in the 10,000 Days packaging gave an almost 3D visual experience of the content. I’m almost certain this was intensional. What a way to combine these amazing album presentations.

Naglfar 1349 Streaming quality is not the same as what is put on disc. Only streams from Tidal are equal to disc quality. Plus, you don’t actually own streamed music, you are only granted a license. The company can remove tracks at any time which means you have to go elsewhere to listen to your favourite music.
Plus, artists should not be forced into perpetual touring just to put food on the table.
@@Wolfmoon810Gamer Yea streamed music sucks right now, but cd quality is garbage compared to lossless digital. So technically downloading could be the best way to get higher quality music, but those files are sometimes more expensive if available at all.

Shit I try to buy everything in physical form. Blu Ray, cds. Because I want to own it. If you just buy it digital you dont own it. Try cancelling an Amazon video subscription and try watching videos you bought. It dont matter if you buy or not if you dont have the subscription you dont have those movies anymore.

Saw them in Prague and was worth the travel and this was worth the wait and this doesn't fail either.

It's like their live cinematic video they use except Fear Inoculum footage. There is sound it just Tool type atmosphereic sound.

People have been playing the song backwards and at all different kinds of speeds. Supposedly a song is in there compiled from the other songs. The artwork booklet is also made to be pulled apart and overlayed to create a larger image.
The first minute and 25 seconds was soooooo captivating....omg!

Just ordered mine. I might keep it sealed and wait for the cheaper version to release. This thing has to be a gem if left sealed for years and years.
Until they reprint it... But you can seal yourself with this album and bury deep into the ground to gain some extra value for future archaeologists.

Hi Karl, there are two different version of this CD. One that comes in Matte Finish like the one in the video and other one is just plain shiny artwork and I was that unfortunate soul to receive it. Everything else including the booklet is identical!

Thanx, dude. I have a copy in front of me right now that I bought for my brother as a Birthday gift and it's killing me just letting it sit here, not being able to see the artwork & have a listen.
Also, it feels like there's three tactile buttons on the video unit. I don't know what those do but I have toyed with the idea of seeing if there's an easy way to pull video from it. ...By easy, I mean soldering some connections to a standard interface. I'm not good enough to pull some crazy, proprietary data stream and crack it but if they use something that's more of a common industry standard, I probably have everything I need just lying around in my shop. It would be nice to be able to project that video onto a wall or a ceiling.

Love the album but the artwork is something you go through once or twice so I most certainly won't pay 99 euro's for it. Hopefully there will be a reasonable priced vinyl version but otherwise I'll stick with the Tidal version 🙂

I pre ordered a copy in Australia, 700 orders were placed at the store I went to. 30 copies were delivered. I only got the limited edition last week. The book version just didn't compare.
I just ordered two of these off eBay I’m gonna keep them both sealed and not open as time goes on they will go up in value of the limited edition ones with the computer thing on the inside.

Had mine on pre-order as soon as it was announced, but cancelled after seeing this. The main problem is only 8 minutes of ambient sounds and cgi. Also, us British have to pay £80 while it’s around 40 dollars in the US, which is extortionate. I’m not paying double the normal price for a gimmick that I would watch only a few times a year. And I’m a Tool fan since Undertow came out...
What ever type of special edition they release, they simply can't satisfy every single Tool fan on this planet.
It’s not about that, it’s about being overcharged for something that costs half the price in the US with no extras involved. Tool fans not in the US are being ripped off.
CreamyCrumpets17, I have no idea why it costs us double. Usually things in the US are around the same price when we get them in the UK. But doubling the cost makes absolutely no sense. I thought about importing it from Amazon US initially, but I wanted it sooner, and thought it would have at least a few live tracks on the video, not 8 minutes of cgi and ambient sounds. Disgustingly overpriced for what it is. Can’t even download more content to it. So I’ll probably get the digital version or just stream the album when I feel like listening to it.
dogenator, Sadly yes, it is disgustingly overpriced. On average, say something costs $100 in the US, it usually costs the same in pounds. Why the hell does this cost more than double worldwide from various retailers? I can only suggest that it is mass greed. It is in no way worth that amount for what you get. Disregarding fanboyism. The content in the packaging does not justify a massive price hike for international fans. I’ve bought various limited and collector’s editions and have never seen such price gouging on an official level. Only eBay scalpers do stuff like this...
I agree with you, I pre-ordered mine desperately hoping it would come down in price from £80 to somewhere in line with the US , even the starting price there was $45, a day before release it was as low $38 which is under £30, it is £75 here at the moment and i just can't justify it.

Cuando algo te gusta y te apasiona... tenes la necesidad de adquirirlo, de que eso que queres te pertenezca. Es algo que con lo metafísico no se puede lograr siempre, pero con lo material si se puede suplir esa necesidad (es la clave del funcionamiento del capitalismo aprovecharse de esa necesidad natural del ser humano). @@FedeHache_ entiendo a que se refiere y estoy de acuerdo con usted amigo Fede. en lo personal he dejado de comprar discos en general por varios motivos, justamente con esta banda me pasó de ver al cantante en vivo y perder el interés sobre su obra (sencillamente fue un fiasco el show)
en cuanto a la compra, nunca compré un disco y me sentí orgulloso, venia más por el lado de tener el material para escuchar ya que como bien sabemos, hubo un momento que si no comprabas el disco físico en una disqueria, no podías oír música. con el correr de los años, perdieron el valor, es como un caro souvenir juntando tierra en alguna parte de la casa.
