It’s a drab grey day after all! And a visit to the antique book store around the corner! Yes, that’s the plan. I don't have a favorite, given I haven't been to many, but I do enjoy hanging around Books-a-Million. Such a calming, and peaceful place. I can't help but feel right at home there.
There is a little corner at the library where I live that has adopted me. The books smile when they see me and they open their pages to show me the colors of the world. 🌹
I used to love to go to Three Birds Book Store in Ybor City, Tampa Bay, Florida. Many wonderful memories there. Tuesday nights were open mike for local poets. I was a “bleeder” ,as we were called. Pouring our souls out our fellow bleeders. Feeling a universal acceptance and fellowship with each other thru the spoken words. The tears. Our fears. Appreciating the delicate balance of the darkness and light, dreams and nightmares. Your beautiful music and artistry takes me back there .✨🖤✨
