i was able to “trap them” and still get the same results as the early version of the boar farms, you just have to trick the Ai into thinking it has an escape route but still utilizing much of the old methods.
Just wanted to say, I just did this last night and it works great ! Disclaimer: I did dig a 5m pit underneath the two core wood logs to catch all the babies.

Thanks for the video. I’ve modified your build a bit.. I think pet farming received a silent nerf maybe. I have to use 3 core wood high now. But I could be wrong. Again thanks.

@@bujamesdean1708 yea. It was noticeably reduced lately in production. As soon as I put an extra core wood, the production went crazy and all of the animals standing on each other’s backs. Btw you’re the only Valheim player I subscribed- the rest have been mostly useless info. Great job.
@@bujamesdean1708 Yep, anytime. Also, one more update. I decided to test the breeders in the swamp: 1 lox, 1 boar, 1 wolf breeder. I put two of them on top of the sunken crypt which equaled greater than one core wood height (4m) and then did two core wood to make it greater than 3. It worked but as soon as a piglet/wolf cub/lox/calf fell 2 core wood in height, production quit and hearts vanished instantly. So, it’s definitely 3 corewood (12m) now for farms. Second thing, since the water was rotting the wood quickly, a roof on the boar and wolves are ok, but not lox. As soon as you roof the lox, the production quits. Third, I found the lox saddle ride way easier to get the lox into the farm machine than the harpoon. It was also easier to get the lox out of any gates made too. 4th, you can have 3 adult boar and wolves in the farm but only two adult lox. Hope this helps in return for the info you gave. Btw, the wolves protected the boar, lox protected the wolves and any meat helped sustain damage to the wolves when boar or lox died. Swamp was completely auto farmed and not a single enemy remained in the swamp.
