I understand Regina. She was right. The Kennish are hypocrite they would have took BOTH. But Bay is right to feel stranded. It really break my heart when she said « what about me »
Exactly. They were trying to take her from Regina when they found out about the switch. Right after this fight, John said they were going to get custody of both. They would have definitely took her.
This scene was the best I ever saw. When I saw Bay crying in Emmett’s arms when she told him that Regina confessed her secret, it almost made me emotional.
They would have had reason to fight for both in the beginning. As would DHS. Who would leave a child that wasn't biologically Regina's or put a child who had never known her, in her care when she was an alcoholic and couldn't even provide a stable home? It was definitely the right thing or at least what most mothers would have done; To get her life together. And she was right about Bay already being Bay Kennish. Neither child would have understood at that age. Even if the Kennish side had been compassionate it would have been so much more traumatic! I only wonder how long did Regina intend to keep her secret or did she just know that someday it would come out when it was supposed to? That's one of those things you can't judge unless you live it.
Phenomenal acting by Constance Marie in that last scene! I heard somewhere, it might have been her in an interview, say that was several pages of dialog that she had to speak, sign and cry through!
I want to hate Regina and be on Bay's side with this situation, but I can't. Yes, I hate the fact that she knew about the switch and did nothing about it, but I understand that she couldn't just go up to Bay and say "I'm your real mother. The hospital switched you with another family's baby. I want to be your mother now." It's not that simple. So I guess I see both sides of the story.
I was furious at Regina. I thought John deserved to evict her, but I wanted to eventually forgive Regina. When Regina tried to make amends with Bay in the next episode, all Bay said was, “You don’t get to do this” and pushed Regina away. When Regina showed up later at Bay’s birthday, John tried to stop her, but Bay insisted him to let Regina join her for her birthday celebration. I wish I would have talked some sense into bay and told her I am so ashamed for breaking her heart supposedly. If she yelled at me, then I would have told her I deserved it rather than be dramatic with her.
I really feel like they did nothing with Bay and Regina. It never felt like Regina saw her as her daughter. She cared so much about Daphne which duh but there was no REALLY strong emotions about just Bay, it was Bay and Angelo the family she could have had. She always called Bay, bay, she called Daphne her daughter
Yeah tbh everyone also beat Regina down. She was trying so hard to hold on to Daphne and Bay was reaching out for her. Meanwhile, Daphne was desperate for the love of the Kennishes. The kennish family wanted her to let go of both of them.
I mean, how could she? They reunited 16 or so years later. They have very clashing personalities, Bay never really knew her. They could never make as much of a connection as Regina did with Daphne.
Great show! Cant wait for the new episodes!!! I hope the pregnant woman who is looking for Angelo isnt going to be another Vasquez! And i wonder if she turned up because he was suddenly a millionare...
4:57-5:04 -- Wow...I wonder what it was like filming that scene; they couldn't possibly have gotten all those interposing lines out in one take! And John and Kathryn blaming Regina for switching the girls???! I couldn't believe that!!!
Seriously come on. How much do you expect from one person. No one’s a seer. You don’t know what the future is gonna bring. I don’t blame Regina at all. I mean at the end of the day, why shouldn’t she think about herself too? And I honestly think bay needs to be appreciative. She got the best out of all of this, even more than daphne
But here's the thing: taking a 3 year old (in the developmental stage of life) from a well off family and putting them in a much lower class is pretty detrimental. Bay would have struggled to adapt and a three year old can be pretty fussy. The Angelo situation i get, though. Some people are just that stubborn. But she was right when she said he was already planning on leaving. Daphne later confronted him about his reasons for leaving and he admitted that her going deaf was one of them. But how did she push her daughter away? She was all she had left and didn't want to lose her, so she straightened out and worked hard to give her the best life she could and never stopped loving her for a second. I get that this probably won't change your mind, but I hopefully explained well enough why she did what she did. She's not perfect, but nobody should expect anyone to be.
I absolutely hated Constance character in this show lol she held Daphne up high as her favorite and did not hide it and barely showed bay any love or attention in my opinion that's her own blood daughter 🤦🏻♀️ it's like she favoured Daphne more because she was Caucasian with blue eyes or something thats what it seemed like

As they should have. She was an addict and could hardly afford to fend for herself. Both kids would have been better off with the kenishes.
She has a right to feel how she feels
At first I was irratated and then after rewatching and putting myself in her shoes
Hard..
Lies catch up

Everybody was always so hard on Regina. I liked her as a character.
Same here
Bay ISa drama queen!
Yea she’s not that bad
I’d like to be hard on Regina

Constance has still got it!!!
My heart breaks for Bay at 10 :07 :( I can't imagine how hurt she must feel!
I remember feeling so bad for Regina man 😭
She sacrificed everything and still she lost both daughters. Glad this is not how it ends

At this stage they really did forget about Bay.. Poor Bay..
Looking back on this I can’t believe I didn’t remember that Angelo said he wanted to stay in contact with Daphne.
Happy birthday constance alias regina from italian boy live in rome and I m fan of switched at birth

sweetlife031 it’s called recording everyone one by one with the voices in the background and then adding it on in the Regina scene in editing
Plus it’s easier

She's a spoiled brat.
I feel so bad for bay
Damn that woman can act
If they knew they would taken both kids to the Kennish family and Regina wouldn’t have no child
As they should've
She reminds me so much of Regina Mills from once upon a time.
Eres una hermosa actriz
Damn it Angie!
Regina did give Angelo the go ahead to leave her...he truly didn't want to leave
Yes and he wanted to stay in Daphnes life but didn’t want to be with Regina anymore. But she wouldn’t let him see her.
1:58 ...I know where I'd like to park!
Yeah in dat booty fasho lmao
Does anyone remember the scene where angelo says he understands why she did what she did. What season/episode was it,
Season 1 episode 15......if ur still wondering. I'm watching right now.
So damn they weren't trying to see it from her point of view at all.
Why would they want to? They don't even like her.
Im confused abt their families
Like is Daphne and Katie siblings in the serie
Who's mom is who's
I loved Regina.
Is that girl the young one the girl from Dexter (trinitys daughter)

Or she favored Daphne because Daphne is the daughter she raised. It’s hard especially when she put so much effort in taking care of her.
She raised Daphne Daphne is her daughter
🙇🤷
