These TH-camrs with thousands of views spreading fud because they're heavily invested in other chains and cardano is about to gatecrash the party. Correct me if I am wrong, but transaction finality is is about Its reversibility. So there is always an asymptotic to the 51% attack. In theory there is no 100% finality but the depth of the block and the degree of decentralization. In Cardano any one can self verify own transaction by simply using a full node wallet such as Daedalus instantaneously & its decentralization means there is very little chance of double spend or roll back of the chain. In SOL one has to rely on "few " others to verify the transaction always, while vulnerable to 51% attack. Even if one claims there is a faster transaction time in SOL protocol one can easily implement the protocol as an L2 to Cardano with better decentralization and security that there can never be a rational to use SOL as L1.

Keeping L1 as efficient and small as possible, will mean a more decentralized network as its easier to replicate and manage around the world. Abstract big load operations to other partner L1 chains with share security via hybrid consensus. Where and how you choose to abstract things is very important. Keeping the most important data stuff away from big L1's ones would make sense to me :)

block time can be changed but not the block size up or down, that is because, if you reduce the size, transactions and blocks that were bigger will forever be stuck with nodes not being able to process the oversized blocks with stuck transactions. That's why I wanted to make the video explaining Cardano transactions and why they are different and how you can't compare the two transaction types, UTXO & account models. IA isn't quite as bad as Ben Armstrong, but close. He does have some good info, but since the market has turned Bullish he's become an arrogant P rick. I can say I am one of the 500,000 he's blocked. TBH, I think that the centralisation/decentralisation is a red herring. Ultimately, I don’t think the market or users care. Only crypto purists do. For the 99.999…% of Joe Public who will possibly adopt these technologies down the line, decentralisation doesn’t solve a tangible, real-world problem that they’re noticeably struggling with.
Yep, I agree. It's all about those 100x gains until that chain is paused to allow VCs and other insiders to drain the liquidity before the users do. Happened before on other chains and will happen again. Users will go for the gains but will hopefully learn their lessons around centralised solutions.

Most people are financially and economically illiterate, despite society operating within roughly the same framework for generations. I wouldn’t expect them to suddenly become smarter and more engaged in the digital assets era. If anything, things are moving in the other direction. It’s not called ‘dumb money’ for nothing.

So James called your baby ugly... Sure there might be solutions, but from where I stand adoption is nowhere to be seen. Truth is, ADA is not looking good this cycle IF your main goal is to make money. If you're here for the tech then sure Cardano is great, as well as EGLD and ALGO. As for price action, there are much faster horses out there. I'd be surprised if ADA reaches $3 and remains in the top 10 at the peak of this current bull run. In my opinion, it will join the EOS, XLM and other old tokens tossed aside.
Yes you might get better x gains on other tokens for sure as they get hyped and build interest.
Adoption is always a problem but I see some great projects fixing that at the moment so I'm hopeful.

IA isn't quite as bad as Ben Armstrong, but close. He does have some good info, but since the market has turned Bullish he's become an arrogant P rick. I can say I am one of the 500,000 he's blocked. All because he disagreed with my opinion. Recently he was on another tubers channel, only paying attention to the chat. Saying things like "Learn Math", to the OTHER tubers followers. Totally classless. He's definitely a Sol pumper, and it is a good chain, but he's a real mule and fud pumper to things he doesn't like.
TBH, I think that the centralisation/decentralisation is a red herring. Ultimately, I don’t think the market or users care. Only crypto purists do.
For the 99.999…% of Joe Public who will possibly adopt these technologies down the line, decentralisation doesn’t solve a tangible, real-world problem that they’re noticeably struggling with.
Yep, I agree. It's all about those 100x gains until that chain is paused to allow VCs and other insiders to drain the liquidity before the users do. Happened before on other chains and will happen again. Users will go for the gains but will hopefully learn their lessons around centralised solutions.
@@LearnCardano I suspect such scenarios will likely be interpreted as ‘crypto is a scam’, rather than attributed to risky levels of centralisation, as the latter requires more actual understanding - and people are generally lazy and easily mollified by an easy-to-parse narrative.
Most people are financially and economically illiterate, despite society operating within roughly the same framework for generations. I wouldn’t expect them to suddenly become smarter and more engaged in the digital assets era. If anything, things are moving in the other direction.
