the first time I saw this I loved the start where Coach Dale is looking for the town of Hickory. The scenes in the country remind me so much of growing up as a kid. The music fits wonderfully. Much of the photography reminds me of small town Ohio where I grew up. Of course, it is reminiscent of almost all towns (midwest). Goldsmith could capture the mood and color of a film and this before it was filmed!
Please, please, please do a "Medicine Man" soundtrack suite. It is absolutely my FAVOURITE Jerry Goldsmith film score. Thank you for all you do -- love your soundtrack suites!

Goldsmith made the transition from pure orchestra ala The Blue Max, 1965 to a film like Hoosiers. What pure genius!

Well done. Only Goldsmith could use 80's synthesizers to capture the spirit of 50's basketball
Yet the ear still hears an 80's soundtrack, over a film set in the 50's.
