- Here's the High-Grade 1/144 scale Rouei. I've gotta say this kit really impressed me! There's nothing flashy or incredible about it, but it's a solid kit with a lot of points to enjoy!

this suit reminds me of a person wearing full kendo training pads, especially the mask like helmet design and the way the body curves evoke the feeling of clothing like the robes and big pants they wear
understandable since the pattern with turbines' mobile suits is that they have japanese names (hyakuren, hyakuri, rouei, hekija)
honestly now that I built it and the more I look at it the more I like it. I thought the back Vernier was cool and the option set has cool stuff for it
Astronopolis our pants are called hakama
as stated in the anime this thing is the hyakuren with different armor on.
thats why they are so similar
this mobile suit is actually just the Hyakuren with different outer armor. this is why it reuses so many parts. in the show the did that do disguise the Hyakurens so that Gjallarhorn wouldn't know that Teiwaz was assisting Tekkadan.
But, wouldn't the Ahab wave frequency have given away the identities of the suits, regardless of what exterior armor parts were used (thus, why Gundam Vidar had the third Ahab reactor)?
no, because it's not unusual for different mobile suits to use the same frames. and only Gundams have unique ahab wave reactions.
Also Teiwaz salvages its reactors from old MS, so it would probably only turn up as a Rodi or Hexa reactor
And on unique reactor signals, technically you could say Gjallerhorn made MS has a unique signal too since the reactors are all made in-house

Ein noticed that the graze custom was cranks graze by looking at the frequency
@@averyangrycrow4936 he didn't need the frequency to figure that out. they knew that Tekkaden would salvage the mobile suits from the battlefield.

rafaellum I really like the thrusters on the back. the shoulder armor the skirt armor looks pretty good. the chest slightly reminds me of a gouf. this definitely would be a good kit for bashing a custom gouf

I actually love the way this looks. Going to have to pick it up, its like a combo of U.C bits on an IBO kit.
I'd almost like to get this to use the lead to do some sort of Zenyatta Gundam. I could only use the head and probably inner frame from other IBO kit and use armour parts for other stuff
I'm not the only one who's reminded of an Omnic when looking at that face.

Don't forget the floating balls....try using funnels for that...it is gonna be good to make his legs bulky since it is the only one armored almost then the armor and torso has minimum armor

The torso and legs reminds me very well of a Dom and Sinanju, especially the backpack.

That mash-up looks pretty good! Obviously, painting it up will make it look even better but the parts from both these kits complement each other very well. Some thruster nozzles underneath that large back skirt would add to the overall look I think.
It's looks like a Hyakuren mashed with the Sazabi and the Sinanju Stein...

That mash-up actually made me order 3 copies of that kit. It looked better than the Kimaris Vidar with regards to color balance. Somehow the Hekija with the Rouei also seems like it could work parts wise, but not the colors so much.
I would love to see mash-up videos! Not just from the IBO line but other lines as well.

I think the back skirt adds unnecessary bulk to this kit I'd wanna shorten or something and give it less of a shelf butt. Can't wait to see your Ibo bash fest video
it's the hyakuren with a different armor on... I really liked the rouei, hyakuren, hyakuri, shiden in the anime... but I kinda hate how the engineering is in rouei haven't build the other three yet though. So maybe I'll cut up rouei into parts and modify it.
I've not had the best luck with IBO kits thus far, they seem a tad more fragile than normal HG's, not in the plastic, but just by design (probably due to the slender builds). I saw this guy on Amazon and loved its unique design. Hopefully he'll be a bit more solid!
This kit reminds me of Armored core Fox Eye. Even the color scheme is identical.
Now is 2023. I'm still on hunt for hyakuren and rouie.. manage to find both but the price is like buying 1 sazabi ver.ka.. damn i'm so late to this hobby...
What's the stand you use in these HG/RG review videos? It looks way better than the standard Action Base.

Those stickers on the eyes were a pain to put on. And idk if it's just mine, but the right black part that sticks with the right hand keeps falling off, along with the legs when I move it around to pose.
Which option sets work with rouei?
it's funny that you said that head looks Goufy because I think this would make a cool gouf custom. the chest looks like a gouf chest a little bit

once I get this kit I was thinking about making a custom version of it that is very similar to like the tailgees in which it has kind of like a Roman or Greek style and have some more color aspects as well as adding a Red Feather part for the head

It kinda looks like it's an improved Hyakuren build-wise, which I'm into. Despite liking that kit personally, I do think it was one of the weaker IBO kits.

Can the backpack connect to the Io Frame?
ASBA1991 no, this doesn't really have a backpack as we normally think of one. The booster units basically plug into the back of the torso armor. Check dalong for reference
i have the HG1/100 io frame shiden. its sholder connection point comes of super easy and i can hardly ever mive the amrs ithout it instantly falling of. any tips to help with this problem?

this thing looks pretty boss with options set 2. I have his pistol as the secondary on the back skirt and for mobile air targets I have the rocket launcher on him and if he needs to attack ground targets I put the grenade launcher on him as well to really balance his load out. twitter.com/NewTypeLux/status/849866964537405440
