    I don't mean to be dramatic...(and I've NEVER left a comment on a youtube video)... but that was SOOO amazing that literally felt emotional watching that. The thoughtfulness that went into every brushstroke, the temperature of color and the use of negative space blew my mind! I'm a little speechless and now I'm on a hunt for more Jed Dorsey paintings! Thank you so much for sharing and for breaking all of this down!

    Love this style. Watching the negative areas take shape was very informative...as if starting from behind the tress, and inching forward so the point of light floods the atmosphere. So exciting. The cool blue 💙 so powerful. Creating more counter balance with color vs position of sun source.

    This is an excellent, fast video of Jed's unique and powerful style of painting. It takes practice, but is learnable. Acrylic University is a great place to get loads of instruction, practice and feedback from a community of artists improving their art.

    More of these, please! Also wondering what's the best way to hold the brush to be able to do delicate shapes like the negative shapes of trees and leaves.

    • @marijohnson2839
      @marijohnson2839 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe he holds his brush farther to the tip end in even the delicate stuff.
      3 or 4 times a year he does a free week long classes. He and Diana Schein? Sorry not sure on her name paint 3 or 4 paintings. You learn as he talks as he paints. Really informative. Look under Acrylic University. You can also become a student of his classes online. I would love to take his classes, but I need to save up for it.

  • @constance9789
    @constance9789 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes, I appreciate Jed’s style, love the contemporary colors, bold brushstrokes, clean colors, with impressionistic stylized painting. Also love landscapes with nostalgia feel of yesterday.
    I proffer oils but this adaptable of coarse. So calming and satisfying watching someone painting. Jed makes it look so easy. Thanks
