The elite 2 I will get and score they may score slightly higher than my original elite boots I’m a bit more in your face stylewise than the elites give me Fair comment though 🙌🏼
I love using boxing shoes but I now have what I think is peroneal tendinopathy. I think not having enough ankle and arch support in my old school boxing shoes plus over training led to this issue. I thought the Everlast with insoles might help but it really did not make much difference. I am now experimenting with a firmer less pliable sole, basketball shoes. I hope this keeps me from rolling my ankle. Anyone got any tips I am all ears. Cheers!
Could you review if fight store ireland is legit? They have my dream glove in my dream color, being navy winning ms 300s and i wanna know if their legit.(i live in america)
Bought the Fly Storms over a month ago and absolutely love them. Only complaint is I have the white ones and the black liner sorta rubs off on the tongue. Can probably be fixed in a subsequent run with a lighter coloured liner. Other than that, absolutely perfect in my eyes. Hope they last a long time.
Huge FLAW about fly boots is they don’t have a loop in back to pull to get your damn foot in the boot. I stopped wearing them and opted for Nike tawa because i was spending 7-10 minutes trying to get the flies on.
@@jockolacko8181 I typically loosen the laces and the velcro strap when I take them off so I never struggle to put them back on personally. Do you try to slide them on like sneakers that you don’t ever really untie?
The thing i hate the most about Adams boots are that theres not much grip overall on their trainers. Im not sure how youre supposed to train when you slip around during combinations
@@Fit2Box my v-trainer 2.0. I've slipped a couple times already during my spars and just bag work on foam floor mats. They have no rubber at all besides the bottom foam. I switched to a pair of superares and they are tremendously more gripping because of the rubber on the toe area.
@@Fit2Box kind of like a rough mesh fabric. What material are rings usually made out of? Its springy and kinda feels like most boxing rings I've been in
I was going to get the fly because I have flat and wide feet but I got the tawa instead it’s a bit cheaper and I will be able to move more in the ring but if I don’t like em I’ll return em and buy some flys
Are you planning to review the Nike Inflict 3? That’s the boot Andre Ward wore during his career (with Air Jordan branding on it), and it’s recently been used by Gervonta Davis, Jaron “Boots” Ennis, and many many more
I have the Adams V2, yet for me I prefer flat soles for in ring competition or sparring as the V2 Trainer feel like I’m a second slower, is it just me or could the difference in bottom sole can do that for me psychologically
I can tell you have a solid connection with your body because yes, you would be slightly slower with the thicker cushioned sole. Not saying that it would be too noticeable, but boxing shoes are typically thin with a flat sole to better connect you to the ground. They are made in assumption that you’d be training in the ring, minimal cushioning then doesn’t cause any issues for your joints, provided you are on the canvas. Realistically for most of us, we train often on harder surfaces. A slightly more cushioned sole would be ideal for longevity with the trade off being a very very slight decrease in quickness. Say you throw a punch, your muscles will coordinate together in a process. You will generate force, as the speed of the punch increases your muscles will begin to relax, upon impact you will then tense your muscles (creating the snap), before quickly relaxing again. In a combination you simply generate greater force at the start, utilizing one generation for multiple moves. It makes one look fluid in the ring. All of us are doing this process to some degree, it’s so quick and many of us have done it for so long that it’s subconsciously apart of our muscle memory. That’s the result you get through drilling these motions endlessly. Anyway, with the very cushioned sole you lose alittle bit of speed with that first generation of force. It likely doesn’t affect you much at all and is A-Okay if it means a more comfortable training session. That’s the trade off here and I say wear the shoes that feel the best, you’ll end up better that way in the end. Being comfortable leads to being more relaxed, which then allows you to train longer and put in more reps. And repetition is the key to developing all skill.

I need suggestions for big guys boxing boots. Im 6'4 290 size 14 shoes. Any big guys have some boxing boots that work well for them in terms of support and performance??
Size 14 you may have to get custom size try maybe top boxer or adams they may do that size A guy at our gym has to resort to boxing like basket ball shoes as bigger sizes more readily available
I’ve had my HyperKO2’s for less than a year and the lace loop holes are splitting down the middle like you showed, the durability does not match the price unfortunately
The sole of the shoe is what provides ankle support. Example, basketball high tops don't do anything for ankle support. The wider flat sole of basketball shoes keeps your ankle in position vs a running shoe with a narrow sole. In fact, most basketball shoes are now low or 3/4 top as a high upper boot does not stop an ankle from rolling. Boxing shoes are above ankle and a lot of that has to do with being truly "laced" into the shoe and "grounded" into the sole. So that's what probably made you feel like you had ankle support...it was the sole and being laced into to the boot.
Thanks for your amazing work ! I bought the Hyperko 2.0 and the Nike Tawa this year by listening to your advice and i'm So Happy with it
No problem glad you like them as much as I do 🙌🏼🙏🏼
Speedex ultras are the best boots I’ve ever had 100%
I was most surprised with the Everlast Elite 2. Prefer it over my Adams V2 actually.

Fair comment though 🙌🏼
Adams trainers are great for us old guys.
I think they have made me younger 😅🙌🏼

I couldn't decide between Adidas fly and elite, I like shoes like comfortable socks that breathe more, which one is more comfortable among them?
