Лилит - первая женщина. Созданная таким же творением бога, богиня-покровительница своего народа.
Лилит не пожелала подчиняться своему мужу, так как была создана наравне с Адамом. Боясь Божественного гнева, Лилит бежала из рая, но все равно была проклята за свою непокорность.
Слёзы Лилит даруют жизнь, но поцелуи её приносят смерть."
Honestly, Tribal belly dance is still my favorite out of all others (though I do rather enjoy Indian style too). I may not be a dancer (soon to be changed) but I am a musician so I know what it is to be an artist. What I really like about Tribal is that they interpret the song they dance to. They dance "with" the music and not "to" the music. Each dancer is unique and not a carbon shimmy copy of each other. That is why I find them much more mesmerizing. They have this spirituality immersed in their dances, which I feel none of the other types do. Their darker theme is refreshing and beautiful. I also really like when they use native american influence in their costumes and it makes it even more spiritual like but overall, I find their costumes to be better. They appear to be dancing for no one but themselves to fulfill artistry. One of things I dislike about egyptian style is that I feel the dancers are dancing to "entertain" people rather than for the art of it. That is, of course, my preference and to each their own. However, I am tired of hearing that Tribal belly dance has little/no skill involved and that it shouldn't exist to be a belly dancing genre, which is not true. Different regions have different belly dancing styles and Tribal was created in the US and therefore no different in that aspect.

@@maggiea3822 Yes a lot of people would consider this Tribal fusion, which is a separate genre than "Tribal" belly dance, which is distinctly a group improvisational dance form (That tribal style is derivative of.) Though, many dancers are veering away from using the word "tribal" at all in either genre for cultural sensitivity and are now choosing to phrase what used to be "Tribal Fusion" as "Transnational Fusion" instead.

You know, the dance is cool. But what makes it awesome is the way you keep your eyes on the audience all the time. Like they're the guy Lilith is trying to secuce, and they're NOT allowed to look away.

Gorgeous costumes and arm work. I would love to see less arms and poses in favor of more dynamic hip work and more complex travel steps. Rely less on your costume and more on your craft.
lunascura agreed but Ethel never really does much hip or belly work. She twirls a lot and throws her arms around. That’s ok but I don’t like it as much as someone like Kira Lebedeva. Kira uses her hips more and Polina shandarina uses her belly rolls more
beautiful costume, good moves, good song...but too unsatisfying at the drops. i would've liked to see her moving faster when the music picked up...

Maybe, but thats still my criticism. I think an artist's expression should still be satisfying to an audience, especially dance. Habibi Lal does a great job of this.

Not a bad idea, and the outfit is good, but... regarding her body type the outfit make her look smaller and short leg... that's sad, beacause she is pretty. Its not all about how fast you shimmy or how many beats you accent. It's about the interpretation of the idea through music and costume as well as movement (and if you're lucky light and effects) moving slowly and deliberately takes a lot more skill than just shaking it. You didn't understand what the artist was expressing, and that's fine, but its also fine to keep your negative comments relating to your lack of comprehension to yourself. Artists are sensitive and that is how they can ellicit feeling through movement which she is doing quite skillfully.

i agree with you, but putting your work up for the public is allowing your art to be subjected to criticism, which is part of the world of being an artist. (as a visual artist and a dancer, this is something anyone producing public content is/should be aware of and prepared for). I feel like the effort put into song choice and costume outweighed her technical execution of the performance. Skill is present, but I feel like the dance was overshadowed by the detail put into the other elements of the performance. Perhaps that's a better way to share criticism.
