Any advice on what kind of electric tooth brush to use when with traditional braces?
I have both Oral-B and Philips Sonicare. I never use my Oral-B because I can stand the mechanical noise. 🤷♀️
My Quip is great for travel.
Since using Sonic brushes used to have pains in the gums and teeth that have all gone, but before even using the brush, I use a water flosser great video
My orthodontist gave me my first Oral-B when I was a teenager and it’s the only brand I’ve used. My mouth is small and my teeth are kind of big… I love it. I just focus on covering the entire tooth/gum line. Especially the front teeth. I’m looking forward to trying a pressure sensor one. Thank you for this video!
I bought the Oral B IO5 yesterday and i love it, I used Phillips Sonicare before but i had 2 that broke down with the same problem, and the second one was the Phillips 6500 Sonicare model it only lasted 6 months and is expensive. It came with 24 month warranty and Phillips wanted to repair the old one and i said no matter what I'm going to sell it and they said i shouldn't sell repaired devices but i won't be using it because i shifted to Oral B and got the IO5 on sale cheaper so they sent me a new one 😂 But they could also see i was a loyal Phillips customer and love my Phillips ambilight smart tv and Soundbar, i even have the Phillips oneplus pro trimmer but will never buy a Phillips tooth brush again.
Thank you for the impatial advice, love your energy.
Wait… so with Philips sonic care you don’t brush back and forth, you just slide slowly across each tooth and gum?
I love your vibe! great video thanks for the info
I use an Oral B one , as I have a smaller mouth , I have one with a light with sensor on.
LOL taking time to get used to the Sonicare is the truth. First time I used one was a genuine shock at how strong the vibrations were.
Hello, have you ever used the aquasonic toothbrushes? Do you think they are as good as sonicare?
Wow, this video was so helpful. As I have been researching these for a while and my dentist is like did you get one. Lol! 😂 Now I'm ready thanks to you.
Excellent explanation video. My dental hygienist recommended I get an Oral-B iO series brush.
I have a an electric oral B Toothbrush and a Sonic tooth brush. I brush my teeth with the electric brush, for 2 minutes, leave the foam from the toothpaste in my mouth and use the Sonic Toothbrush on one of it`s 3 settings. The Sonic brush vibrates and emits a blue light for 1 or 2 minutes., then shuts off automatically. The blue light kills bacteria and whitens your teeth. I have nice white teeth, but never had my teeth whitened! I use a water pick and floss as well.
I have told my husband and my children to use this brush as well. I have had this brush ever since it was advertised, about 3 years.
My dentist and I are very happy about the state of my gums and my teeth! Some years ago I had a container for my toothbrush that emitted blue light to keep the toothbrush free of bacteria. I feel, I have had fewer colds, since I use this brush in addition to my "normal" brush.
Can I ask which Sonic toothbrush you use?
what do you think of the Aquasonic Black Series PRO - Ultra Whitening Toothbrush w UV Sanitizing Base ? do we really need a uv light?
Took the plunge and got a set of Oral B IO 7 for us. They were on sale at my local Sam's. Magic. So clean. I also learned that I take WAY too long to brush. xD
How long is way too long? 10 minutes?
@@JamarD421me w braces yea tens mins
I have a curaprox manual, oral B electric and ordo sonic 😂 I should be covered with all the benefits. The oral B is about 5 years old though, still going strong. Ordo I got a couple of months ago. Amazes me how long sonic toothbrushes last battery wise. Oral B batteries aren't great
Does oral b rotate 360 degrees continuously or just swing/oscillate back and forth motion? confused
I need to buy a new toothbrush! My battery does not last a single brush anymore. So this video is super helpful thank you!
Back and forth with elektric litterally destroys your gums fast
which one is best for gum recession?
I get so frustrated because I love the vibe and aesthetic of Sonicare, but with my small adult teeth the brush heads are too large to contact with my teeth, feels like it’s just hovering. I am currently using Cocofloss manual, but I am looking to try Oral B.
Heads*
I did feel weird using the sonicare but after a week I got use to it.
Thanks for the info... I just placed an order for a oral-b i05 and I think i'm going to like it a lot. Been using manual toothbrushes all my life and well I brush always in the morning I found it hard to always brush at night... To much work for me after a long day on my way to bed so I hope having a tooth brush I can just hold will increase my brushing habits at night before bed.
Lmao. What.
Bruh
Electric brushes are a must for routine motivation!! 🙌
I love the longer videos!
thank you so much for watching!
I love this electric toothbrush but you can not remove debris between teeth no matter how powerful the motor is. People do not get it, toothbrushes alone WILL NOT REMOVE FOOD BETWEEN TEETH and but if bacteria accumulate between teeth you are in trouble. What you need is an interdental brush like the gap picker.
yep! here's my "cleaning-between-teeth" methods video -- hope this helps: th-cam.com/video/0ExqfpbbfnA/w-d-xo.html
Our teeth do just fine just make sure they look clean and don't eat too much sht
Just floss
No shit, that’s what flossing is for😂😂
Yeah as the other two people above me said. Flossing is what you're referring to. Guess what? There are powered electric flossers too.
Hey there, great video thanks. I. do have a question that I don't see coming up anywhere else. As to which type of electric toothbrush cleans best when you have a metal wire behind your teeth, that the orthodontist put there to keep them in place. This is where most of the tartar is built up and the dentist always has to clean it.
I wouldn't say there's a specific electric toothbrush that's best for that -- as long as you're using it correctly, then it will do good! However, I would saying flossing and/or cleaning between your teeth is of utmost importance in that area. Here's my video that goes over ways to do that -- hope this helps: th-cam.com/video/Asqt4zYyUxQ/w-d-xo.html
@@TeethTalk Wow that's amazing thanks Teethtalk☺
Amazon UK usually has subscriptions.
Thanks for this review. My favourite is the Sonicare toothbrush as my teeth feel cleaner but I'm going to have to switch back to an Oral B only because the battery life of Sonicare doesn't last. The toothbrush battery dies after about a year. I've had 3 toothbrushes in the space of 3 years. I've complained to Philips which they have sent first a replacement hand and then a brand new boxed toothbrush which literally died recently and this was under a year old, so now I have to go out and buy a new one
Probably a quality control thing. I had a sonicare e-series probably close to 8-9 years and no problems till recently.
Thanks for sharing, I have the exact same complaint about the Oral B IO. I usually started charging when I was down to 20% and it would last for weeks, but suddenly after just two years, even after a full charge and displaying 100%, mine stopped working after 3-4 seconds, immediately showing 0% battery. It seems to be a known issue for which some software update is available (firmware updates on toothbrushes, yes ;-) ) but for some reason, the app doesn't propose such update for my toothbrush (it's normally supposed to). I can make the brush work normally again for a couple of weeks, like brand new, by disassembling the toothbrush and remove, then place back the battery, but on the next charge, the same problem occurs. Even putting a new battery doesn't fix that erratic behaviour.
... Now I took a Sonicare ;-) I hope you're wrong, but I think the manufacturers of those toothbrushes pay very little attention to proper battery management, or maybe it's planned obsolescence...
Somewhat unrelated, but curious: can you recommend an oral hygiene routine for people whom have lost most or all of their teeth? Like how much is necessary to do to maintain the health of gums at that point?
that is a GREAT video idea! thank you! adding to my list :)
Thank you, looking to purchase my first ever E toothbrush

@@TeethTalk of course aww thanks 😊
Which would be best if I feel like my gums are residing, maybe I do brush too hard. 😬 Very informative video, thanks.
Assalam o alikum doctor is there any possibility to avoid tooth extraction when doctor prescribe to extract tooth plz respond???and this tooth is infected second time when is first time infected i myself took antibiotics and very next teeth with this teeth is capped is there any harm for this plz guide me?
If you're confident in you're dentist you'll probably just going to have to get it pulled. It's never as bad as you think.
Love this video!
I have a question, what should be considered as “red flag” when using an (inappropriate) electric toothbrush/head?
I have been using Oral-B’s Pro 100 (yes, the $10 battery powered model😂) with sensitive care brush for almost a year and I’m considering to try different brands/models since my current set occasionally causes me to bleed. However I’m not sure if this is the brush head’s problem or the toothbrush is just too powerful. (I normally hold my brush with only three fingers to make sure I won’t put too much pressure on my gum)
thank you for watching! I generally don't recommend the battery-powered ones :( I've seen them be damaging to the gums. I recommend one that charges (like I mentioned the $40-$80 range is usually safe)! hope this helps!
Burst girl for life 💜 Now they have a curve version that has a sleek “hybrid” look but is still a superior sonic clean 😘
Yesss I love BURST! I just couldn't put them in this video because they don't let their ambassadors make videos that compare them to other brands :)
I have the Oral B IO3. And compared to the Oral B two Subash that you demonstrated in the video it is a lot quieter. And that is why I like it. Also, upon using this toothbrush, when I went to my appointment for a cleaning the hygienist definitely noticed a difference. She definitely complimented me for sure and as she said, I did my homework as she said. I then proceeded to start laughing.
I definitely prefer the more gentle vibrations of the newer Oral B toothbrushes. As I find that sonic cares vibrations are a bit too aggressive for my liking. And I also prefer the round brushhead as it allows me to maneuver the brush around the mouth a lot easier.
so good know know about the sound differences! thank you for telling me this!
Thank you so much for your videos !💖💖
thank you so much for watching :)
Thank you, very informative
thank you for watching!
Have you ever tried the Rotadent? If so, what do you think of it?
This morning, I accidentally dropped my burst toothbrush, and unfortunately, it broke. So, this video comes at the perfect time for me! It was quite a surprise because it ended up breaking after just one fall. Considering treating myself to a sonicare now! 😄
opeeee!!! I love BURST and Sonicare and Oral-B it's so fun to try them all! So def go for it! :)
I love my Sonicare Diamond Clean
Diamond clean gang
Can anyone advise on which electric toobrush I should get for my 16 year old son he has braces and plaque...
What type is burst?
Love my sonicare!! I can never use a manual toothbrush again
I change out my brush head everyn2 or 3 weeks. As sson as i feel it get soft.
please help i need your opinion
8 months ago i had cavities which my dentist fixed, but i felt pain so i got my bite adjusted a couple times and still had pain, she re did it all together and im still experiencing pain..im terrified to say anything because both times while she was drilling and had hair to dry my tooth i felt it and it was painful..the first time i just had gas and the second time it was both gas and shot and i still felt pain.. idk whats wrong with my teeth
Go to a different dentist. 2nd opinion is important
My dentist suggested oral b io, but Ive been wanting the Oral-B 5000. All the reviews are sayings the IO is better. My teeth aren't good, my fault, but im trying to fix that with the complete and proper oral hygiene care. Does the IO matter?
Studies show that brushes that oscillate and vibrate like Oral-B brushes (except for io series that just vibrate) clean better. You might want to get the genius 6000 or Pro 6000 though because it has the icons on the handle. I have the Pro 1000 and it cleans better than the io series 7 I just upgraded to and the new one slings toothpaste everywhere when I move it around. The pro 1000 doesn't do that.
Spins or oscillates?
I love the Sonicare, so does my hygienist.
Thanks for all the great dental advice Whitney. You have the most beautiful teeth!
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what the brands are, but I'm a long time sonic toothbrush user who decided to try one with a round head, and it seems to be a better fit for my mouth. Hopefully there will be less constructive feedback at my next hygiene appointment. 😂
I'm not sure how I feel about subscription based toothbrush heads but it is what it is
Love my oral-B plus I have braces 😬 😅
I didn't know all this about electric brushes, very cool, am now ditching my battery one, thanks!😊
I used your link to get my Burst electric toothbrush they even thrown in some whitning strips as well! Love the toothbrush!
yay! me too!!!! :)
I just bought that Laifen toothbrush , and I HATE it !!
Very strong and the bristles are too small, I cringe every time that( aluminum alloy bumps my teeth😖🫨 …I’m 43, no cavities with almost perfect teeth
( I don’t play about oral care ) …I’m new to electric brushes.
I’ve been buying the cheap equate Walmart brand but I have to replace it every month 😢because they’re so darn cheap.
Which is why I need to invest in a nice one .. so thanks for the tips
I have an other issue with the timers, i always loose track of time and end up brushing my teeth for 6 minutes... I've tried it to get it to 2 minutes but i feel that doesn't clean my teeths enough
Can you set your phone timer to 2 mins? that might be easier, i use my timer for all things timers😄
My son has used all types of electric toothbrushes and currently uses a sonic care. There is still so much plaque on his teeth. I don’t get it. What maybe is he doing wrong?
Not brushing 3 times a day
OMG! I love electric toothbrush so much my favorite! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🪥🦷🦷🪥🪥🦷🦷🪥🪥🦷🦷🦷🪥🪥🦷🦷🪥🪥🦷🦷🦷🪥🪥🦷🦷🪥🪥🪥🦷🦷🪥🪥🪥🦷🦷🪥🪥
I recently switched to the Sonicare 6100 from an OB Spin Brush and I have to say that I am impressed. It's _very_ powerful, easy to use, easy to maintain, and while it's a little more expensive than the Oral Bs, the extra cost is truly worth it.
Most electrics you have to use for a while before you can really get a sense of how well it works. This is NOT the case with the 6100. I noticed a real difference after 3 uses.
I have tartar issues on the inside of my lower front teeth and this brush is destroying it. I have less and less. Soon it will be completely gone at this rate.
Can't say enough good things about the 6100.
Edit: I paid $82 for this product online. More than reasonable.
I need to know how to care for the oral b toothbrush. Do I need to take it apart after I use it or can I leave it connected and just rinse and dry?
I learned the hard way, the metal tip on mine rusted, so I looked it up. You're supposed to take the head off and run water through it after each use and wipe the handke down. For io series you rinse it out where the head attaches. I let the brush dry on a square of toilet paper so it doesn't cause more rust. I used a knife to scrape most of it off.
@@dez6278 Thank you for the info! I will be sure to take it apart then rinse and dry it.
What’s the order to clean? Is it brush, floss then water pik? Or ?
here's my order video -- hope this helps: th-cam.com/video/5J89gCDt_rk/w-d-xo.html
GREAT VIDEO THANKS YOU GOODNESS 🌟 DAPHNE COTTON ALWAYS 💜
Which one is the best?
for gum disease too? how to prevent root canal?
yes! electric toothbrushes will help improve home care routines in order to prevent gum disease and root canals! I have a "dental products for gum disease" coming soon as well! stay tuned!
@@TeethTalk have you uploaded the video on just a small opening inside the one side of central insisor tooth on the lower side of the inner side of mouth
What do you think about Bitvae toothbrushes?
I have an electric toothbrush and it works wonders 😊
Which one do you use? And what toothpaste and mouthwash?
I use all of them and alternate them :)
same with toothpaste -- as long as it's ADA approved.
hope this helps!
2 -3 weeks??? My oral b pro 1000 lasted 3 days lol…I do brush for long stretches tho…I refuse to believe that the these toothbrushes so all the work either me having to brush like the OG brushes
I get dizzy from the vibration of the oralb toothbrush
Oral-B IO series 3 ❤
Have you ever heard of the Ezzi toothbrush I see no reviews other than the dentist who made it
I’m 24 and only just learned you aren’t supposed to brush normally with an electric brush😅😅 they never teach you these things!! Can you do a video on the best way to use it? Xx
yess! don't worry you're not alone! so many people use them wrong! here's my tutorial video: th-cam.com/video/4zu7hkYlQ1E/w-d-xo.html
Bra you didn't talk about what's the best ones (models) or even what you use!... Just talked about general instructional chat. Click bait title not relevant!
I thought you used and recommended Burst? Do you still use that brand?
yep! I like BURST alot!!! But they won't let their ambassadors put them videos that compare them with others so I had to leave them out :(
Team Sonicare!
I've used Sonicare for years. I'm on my third and it will be my last. The quality has dropped significantly. The 4100 has an internal screw that continually comes loose and requires taking it apart. There are videos on this. Now they have a USB charger but they don't come with a wall brick. You can request one from them after buying and they'll ship to you. Why isn't a complete charger included with the toothbrush?
YOUR AWESOME!💖🫶🏾
You have a great smile.
Which is better for sensitive teeth?
here's my sensitivity video -- hope this helps: th-cam.com/video/BYPRIeL9Jgg/w-d-xo.html
I love my sonic ❤
I just got braces! Which one would you recommend to most braces patients? One like the oral b or sonicare?
either!!! as long as you use it properly around the braces! here's my video that shows how -- hope this helps: th-cam.com/video/AYgWjzk8UUg/w-d-xo.html

I tried oral b once and returned it right away. It felt like a jackhammer… awful!
I have the Oral B IO 6
Do you like it?
How does it make your teeth better? I use oral b electric
@@suzanne296 it makes your teeth feel like they just got cleaned professionally.
It leaks idk why
It shouldn't just be about "personal choice", it should be about the research out there of which none was presented here. If you do a follow up, please present studies.
Most electric toothbrush studies are done by the company itself (conflict of interest) and personally I don't find those to be the most trustworthy. Like I said in the video, if you're looking for an electric toothbrush that has been tested for safety and efficacy regarding its effectiveness, then my best advice is to use an ADA approved electric toothbrush (with the "ADA seal of acceptance" on it). Hope this helps!
Am I the only one who fall in love with her
I think the battery ones are okay if you can’t afford a higher price but still want the experience.
Do you know why a 7 year olds lower front teeth with new loosening?? 😮
