Incredible. Wonderful. I've been listening to Rachel for years, including her old jazz standards from The Good Hours and before. This is her voice as a musical instrument with her in total control. I actually think the purity and pitch perfectness of her voice was better when she was this young than it is today. She is fantastic today, but there's something about these old recordings where I think her voice was better back then.
Amazing! I love all of her work from Lake Street to her work with Vilray, especially her record The Good Hours! You are obviously a very proud father Mr. Price
Ok, I had to click on this channel after the video you posted of Rachael singing at 12. Then, I actually looked at the last name, and looked you up, and none of that is surprising! None of my parents, uncles, aunts, etc. are famous musicians, but they're great musicians! Or some, anyway. My mom's side is just a treasure trove of talent. Myself, my brother, and our first cousins from my mom's side are 7 in total, and 5 have the music bug. At one of my cousin's weddings (in Poland, and I was born in Canada and have lived here my whole life) I played organ, the bride's sister sang the psalm, and I got to duet with another cousin on trombone for communion (and his job is playing trombone). My parents did the best they could for me, and music isn't my career, but it's still my passion, and I get to do it. Like that side of my family, you clearly have that going, and you passed it on to Rachael. I randomly heard Bobby Tanqueray on CBC radio many years ago. A groovy but innocuous bass line began, but then that voice came in. I was a fan immediately! Thanks, Tom, for uploading this content, because it's just delightful!
OMG SO good already! Absolutely BORN for it! Just ordered herr/their new album. I've only heard "Damcing with Strangers", which gives me chills it's so good.

Good for her - A great voice and presence !
Great Job. Thanks
Rachael Price’s usual excellent execution and wonderful vocal style. Wish she would do more jazz standards.
She performed a lot of jazz standards in her early career, so we will try to post some more live videos in the future if possible.
very enjoyable.
