    I totally agree with doing the little tasks first, I feel like it warms me up to do the big things. I also like to highlight the current 3 tasks on my list so I don’t get distracted from the rest of the tasks 👍🏼

    I email myself regularly as well! Really like the email rule of only checking a few times. I practice if you can get something done in five minutes or less, get it done at that moment, then cross it off the list. That way it reduces stress. Thank you for sharing your yoga practice. I found you about a year ago and have been regularly doing your classes and recently been doing your yin yoga as well before bed. I can tell a difference!

    Hello Kassandra. Your coffee chats always show your real personality that is fun. Self employee needs to control our time and how much we work not to exceed our abilities. Your tips are very practical, I am a kind of person who wants to finish hard big things first, but sometimes I get too exhausted to keep going other tasks. I will make a try the way you do, your chat always gives me some motivation and new ideas!

    I have the same kind of personality like you, so i love organizing ALL the things I have to do ON PAPER. I´m always busy but not with work stuff...I try to have time for, first of all, myself, then for family (mainly my gradsons), friends, maybe some cultural event or just time for my own practice...without rushing..I´m very curious so I move in an active way..days are too short for me!! and I love when I can cross things out because they are already done!!! Thanks for sharing your tips, I really love your classes.

    I'm a list maker too, and depending on my mood, energy level, and time determines what on my list I will tackle first. Unfortunately, while tasking I discover more things that need done, or get done. And know what? I add those extra things I did to my list to remind me what all I *did* accomplish!

    I love to write things down as well. It doesnt matter how many list apps there are; I prefer to write my thoughts & lists. I do use the samsung memo app when I'm on the move but writing is my first choice.

    My life and job is very different from yours (I'm a surgeon w/ 3 kids), but my personality is similar, and I found this very helpful and relatable! The more I procrastinate, the more efficient I become, and I also thrive on a full schedule. I will try to "schedule" more fun into my calendar, and I am learning (slowly) to say "no" to opportunities. I love what you said that saying Yes to one thing is saying No to something else. thank you so much! p.s. love your yoga!

    I totally feel you Kassandra, if i don't have an organized schedule i feel like i'm all over the place and in the end i might not even do anything. I work good under pressure too, although sometimes i get overwhelmed but i'm working on my balance =) I was going to say that sometimes it's best to start with what gives you the most joy, but you covered that towards the end =)

    This was much needed for me to watch tonight. As a freelance writer, I’m always looking for tips on how to keep on task and maximize my productivity. I appreciated your insight and loved how you view busyness as equaling fullness, rather than as something to wear as a badge of honor. By the way, I also email myself ideas all the time, too! 😀

    I love this. Maybe it's because I'm a freak about productivity and organization, but still. Thanks sooo much for sharing. It's so helpful to hear other people's key tricks.

    I completely relate on the personality aspect!! I can see it as a negative but I can also CHANNEL my energy & inner fire into being superwoman at the last minute and I'm learning to love how powerful and sexy it makes me feel. However I do want to work on being motivated/productive when I don't have anything to do, as well as maximize my relaxation and self-care during that time.

    Love this! I'm amazed at how many of the same tips we have! Including send self emails and getting inspired by random moments on The Office. 😂 The tip about doing something simple first definitely works for when I first wake up, and similarly, I need to get the bulk of my work done before 11am. I have a verrrry simple morning routine that is easy to do and makes me feel motivated/accomplished at the very beginning of the day.☕️

    Amazing tips... Although second tip where you have told to start with simple task first doesn't work with me
    Exact opposite of that , starting with complex task works best for me
    So you are right , it differs from person to person:)
    Thank you for such a great tricks

    Yep ... Start a new list every day. Things you forgot about from yesterday - probably not that important ;-) . The art I've learned is that somethings you'll just have to let go ... and some tasks will never get done ( here I am wasting time listening to you - kidding your my best form of mediation :-). You know? Try and put others first ( don't know why exactly?, but it just seems to keep one grounded in the present - the world doesn't revolve around only you - you know? ). Currently, voluntarily, stuck on a 8-4pm schedule ( the pay is fantastic), but given the choice, once started on a task, I don't really know when it's time to quit. 24hrs plus non stop till I pass out. Probably not good for our biological brains ( recently learned that when were conscious our brain's neurones are busy making pathways/memories/synapses and if we don't sleep those cells will die. The machinery of DNA repair in our bodies needs rest/inactivity/energy to keep things from going astray. Anyhow, t hanks for sharing Kasssandra.

      I get that way too. I can flourish if I wake up and start being productive but I don't know when (or exactly how) to stop and slow down, and I end up starving myself.

    • @chapplepeach29
      @chapplepeach29 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Omg I'm sure there is so many tasks on previous lists I have never done and will never do haha.

    Any tips for productivity with clinical depression?

    • @yogawithkassandra
      @yogawithkassandra  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Build confidence bit by bit, little by little. Start with a small task and count everything as a win. Before focusing on work-based productivity I would focus on things like taking a shower, getting ready and setting up your workspace in a way that feels motivating and allows you to think clearly.

    • @chapplepeach29
      @chapplepeach29 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely what Kassandra said. Consider and value the "small things" that you do every day and things you do to take care of yourself. You're more productive than you know.

    I did school like that, sometimes I wouldn’t even study for a test until right before the test (like the 5 minutes they give you to go over the material) and then I would get an A and the teacher would be like “you must have studied hard” 😅
