In this review, we go snorkeling with the Asiwo Manta Underwater Scooter.
Since, we started living close to the ocean, we go snorkeling any chance we get and when Asiwo asked us to review their Manta Underwater Scooter, we jumped at the chance.
We had a lot of fun testing the Asiwo Manta underwater scooter at one of our favorite snorkeling spots, Punta Pescadero. The reef is healthy and it has many rocks that are normally challenging to get out and around. The Manta underwater scooter gives you the ability to explore a little further without worrying about getting too tired to swim back.
The battery lasts close to 45 minutes if you aren't using the TURBO mode too much. It has regular speed, medium speed and TURBO mode, but we found that it really wasn't necessary to use the high speed that much while snorkeling.
The GoPro/action camera mount allows for getting great underwater video while keeping your hands free to operate the underwater scooter.

Hi Kids.. Great confab of an underwater scooter. they have been around for ages.. But this is the 1st. time I have seen this configuration... Pretty cool.. and very small.. therefore the short battery life.. Bet there will be improvements soon.. Good to see you with masks and snorkels on...
45 minutes is a decent amount of snorkeling time. We went out today and Lorena and I swam out to where we wanted to explore. Then we used the scooter to cruise around and bit and head back. Like I mentioned, if you have a second battery you'll have more time on the water. You are correct though, technology will get better!
Looks interesting and fun. As far as snorkeling, I seem to remember we inadvertently swam in shark infested water in Cabo Pulmo by mistake. Also, the property looks great now that you have cleaned up the area. Keep us informed as to your progress.

We will post about the storm. We haven't experienced anything other than rain, so far.
is Aswio same as Hyper gogo, im a bit confused?, they look exactly the same, manta, sea scooter?
The one we reviewed was branded the Asiwo Manta and Asiwo was who reached out to us. We just used it to snorkel a couple of days ago and it still works great. As with most electronics now days, there are 10 different companies selling the same thing. I have no idea who is copying who.
If it runs out of battery does it float or still help you float at leadt near the surface?
It floats and you have a leash on your wrist so you won't get separated from it.
NOTE: be careful to pop your ears when getting close to 30 feet, and also don't come up faster than your bubbles.. I can see some ruptured ear drums if people come up to fast playing around...

You could probably do that. It does have one hand operation too, so you could cruise by and grab one! Lol

Once you let go of both triggers and only hold one side it balances itself out pretty good.
