Switched from RT660s to V730s on my FWD track car. It understeers a bit at the exit of turns under power in spite of all of the suspension tricks, which did tame it a bit. The V730s didn't tame the understeer but do have more traction to keep me on the track with better exit speeds. Love'em.
@@Zygrene Wow. Excellent driving skills. 👍 I'm getting a 2025 BRZ and currently own a 2020 Mustang GT with performance pack 1, auto trans with almost 500 horses. 😊
There are only two types of BRZ/86 owners. The stance, negative camber, chrome wrap, wide body kids. Then theres the track builders who are actual drivers doing suspension, tires, brakes and diff swaps etc.
Good lord that engine was singing throughout the whole session! I love the sound of the 2.4 ! You did great, and your lines were really good as well! Keep it up dude I love the car, the gr86 is such a great rwd chassis for beginner and skilled individuals!
Loved watching you ripping your BRZ. Nice driving. Reminded me of when I used to get my G35 coupe’s soul out from trashing her, lols. Its like going real rough and tough on your girl ini 🔥😂
I love your comment about not dropping the oil pan lol... Deal with it. I'm in there same boat with 13K miles if it was causing issue the damage is done and I rather not give Toyota any reason to deny my warranty if it pops.
Also great driving as always. Im hoping to get a good baseline time at Laguna Seca on the 31st. my champiro sx2's have 3 track days on them and about 12K miles of daily driving. but have decent thread left for at least one more track day.
Yup, just upgraded pads and fluid are holding up well for me. There's a bit of fade towards the end of 20 min sessions and the rotors are prone to warping though.
The wheel definitely gets light pressed the hill at Sanoma. I've gotten a little out of shape there a few times. As your electronic nav would say, Great Work!
Its been fun watching your videos and now I have my new car same as yours. 2 questions are you driving in track mode? The new tires do you drive them to the track ? I bought my car from Paul Brumm (salesman at Subaru Santa Rosa) Im sure you know him! I have 1500 miles on mine today..
@@Zygrene for me reconnecting the cable only fixes the issue for like 3 minutes and then it happens again. Sometimes it'll do it virtually every 30 seconds. It's super annoying :/
I'm having the same issue in my 2023. However, I'm using a 3rd party cable, I'm going to swap it for a stock Apple cable. I'm also going to clean out my Lightning port.
@@iLLtackticks I had it pretty bad with the USB c cable that was included with my phone, but I switched to a much shorter cable and that seems to have helped somewhat. I think that unfortunately lightning and USB c cables are a little bit prone to coming out of phones. Wireless car play might be the way to go.
@@jackwicker I haven't ripped my car apart to see how long the USB cable is feeding from the head unit to the center console. I know USB has a max length. I bet you're on the right path with a shorter cable. Wireless sounds nice too. All it takes is $$$ :)
Nice driving. Which app did you used? I like that lady coach 😂。 How you like the v730. I’m running rt660 on my 128i. I’m thinking about trying out the v730.
I’ll try out these v730 on my 128i track car. By the way, I’ll shoot you an email regarding checking out a couple of my cars: bmw 128i m sport streetable track car and Cayman S Sport Edition with a custom 4.0l
I wasn’t even driving but I got some gratification from her saying nice work😂 How were the other tires trending before you replaced them? It seems like it’s necessary to go aftermarket suspension to get enough camber to get even wear of the tires.
The outside shoulders were completely toasted on the old set. These cars need 3.5 or more camber up front. Even my 3.2 feels inadequate in certain situations.
Solid track, decently technical, with room to grow with confidence. Im thinking I just need to get something cheap, and get that seat time. Maybe table the GT4 til after the home purchase. Seems you need everything and a kidney to qualify for a home loan these days
Thanks
Nice driving and lap times my dude. I was fortunate enough to visit Sonoma a month ago, what a phenomenal track.

They also wear better than the rt660 so this is nice to hear.
Nice work, man. Gotta love it when your GPS gives you +ive reinforcement. Damn Mustang...
Nice drive buddy!Great meeting you last Saturday😆
See you soon! C4 vs C5 vs C6 is gonna be a fun video

Great Driving!!
Great driving. Enjoyed this video quite a lot. Hope to see more.
Nice driving. Amazing control and not over driving when trying to get pb
Nice work! That AMG GT needs help (or to run in the beginner group).

Great work.
Congrats on the PB, great driving! Nice meeting you on Saturday, see you at the next track event!
I love your BRZ content great driving and mods. Keep it up!
I just ordered a 2023 in Sapphire Blue it should arrive February! :)
The more "new best" you get the more you're winning. Congrats on the PB.
Great video! I would love to see a tire review on the v730's vs your other tires.
what is your alignment spec with this latest setup? thank you
-3.2 front camber, -2.3 rear camber, slight front toe out, slight rear toe in (don't remember exact specs)
BRZ track content = instant thumbs up 🫡
Zygrene, you are the man! Great driving. I could feel every shift. Hopefully that rude Benz operator is one of your subs 🤣

@@Zygrene awesome. Seems like a pretty cost effective brake setup.
jealous of your ability to drive at the limits - I had a little novice mishap in mine recently😬
More seat time is key!

The car seems to be more neutral than las time. Nice driving.
Would have loved to see your NSX driven at a track day!
There's a lot more room on exit of T7. Gas earlier and track out more. Same on 8a. Probably another second right there easy.
Yup, need to build even more confidence in the high speed stuff
1:54 a already a great pace. You're controlling the car well just not using the track optimally. Sonoma is very technical, not easy to figure out.

Yep I do. Happens every now and then. I usually just reconnect my USB-C cable and it works.

hi.... any comment on using 245/45/17 for max grip for trackdays?
I would probably run 245/40/17 on a 17x8.5 or 17x9

Good timing. Stay tuned this Saturday!
Any thoughts on the Simpson Hybrid S neck restraint system? I noticed you don't wear one.

Garman Catalyst

1 inch lower than stock, front and rear. -3.2 front camber, -2.3 rear
No bumpsteer after lowering for an inch?
Nice! Finally an episode with no s2k involved.. i think havent watched it yet llol
