      It’s a 7.4V 1500mAh (11.1Wh) rechargeable Li-on Battery that I’m using in it

    That's normal for a boat. That it will turn sharper one way than the other. It has to do with which side the servo is in relation to the rudder. I know that in hobby grade racing it has to do with how they go around the track.

    • @speeddrivenrc3477
      @speeddrivenrc3477  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I did more research and found that is true and I also found that it is also due to the trim settings. I spent some time working with the trim and evened it out a little better

    Think they do a nice brushless version as well, is this a reliable boat, with so many of these boats the radio system invariably fails, then you got to put your own radio gear in.

      @speeddrivenrc3477  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Robert Kelly so far I have not had any problems with the boat and the radio seems to work perfectly fine. I have not seen the brushless version but I do not keep up on all the models so I’m sure there is one.

    I got 2 spare batteries from Amazon. Pro Boat DYNB018 7.4v 1500 mAh Li-on, 19.25 ea. w/ free shipping. Identical to the one that came with my boat. Same size, same 4-wire connector.

      If it isn't already obvious this thing clearly uses two heat shrunk 18650 LiPo batteries as it's battery pack. One could quite easily replicate it for cheap. With your own 18650s. The battery pack is 7v, one 18650 is usually 3.7v so it's not hard to do the math. When mine arrives in the mail I'll confirm here.

    I bought one for my son and it has enough charge but it does not want to work and in the manual it tells me something about the pairing of a code but it does not tell me how to put it. Will you know how it is paired between the boat and the control?

    • @speeddrivenrc3477
      @speeddrivenrc3477  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The boat will have to be in the water for it to work. The remote should automatically pair as soon as the boat is put in water but until it’s in water it will not work

    • @MrHeatgap
      @MrHeatgap 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it has two electrodes on the bottom of the boat that won't let it operate without water completing the circuit to avoid propeller injury.

  • @dalegunning7378

      ohshit itz trapaholik hi the remote automatically pairs itself to the boat once it is in water if it is not in water in will not pair so once the boat recognizes it’s in water it should pair automatically. That is how my boat worked, thanks for watching!!

    Another comment I've been in sales and service for 35 years and the number one thing for myself or anybody that I supervised was know your product before you talk about it you can't snow the snowman that's all I was trying to say know all the facets of your product when you're going to advertise on TH-cam to the public

      @speeddrivenrc3477  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Todd Nixon I understand and agree with you completely and boats are not my main thing but more than anything I am into the cars but more than anything I was just demonstrating that for the price these are fun boats. I wouldn’t necessarily say we were trying to make an in depth review of so to say.

      @@speeddrivenrc3477 I guess that's where we're different I'm just getting into boats myself knowledge is power I do listen when people explain things as far as off-road buggies and trucks racing at various different tracks and southern California I started doing that in 1991 kept racing until 2009... I did graduate from the novice class of course where you start out in racing and got to intermediate pro stock fun times... Just finished up a rock racer obstacle course in my backyard.. if you already know what that is it's not rock crawling but it's modified buggies that you'll see on hill climbs busted knuckle.com high octane films check them out on TH-cam if you haven't.... You can call up Rock racers obstacle course..... Did some research after I got my boats on Amazon haven't even ran them yet but I have three lakes around town will be going next week.... My last word to you would be again people that do their TH-cam videos especially on products they're the next best thing to a teacher showing us things that we can't get from the kid that works at the hobby shop it's just a job to him no concern no human touch to explain something.... Being in sales and service as long as I have I'm a pretty good explainer.... I guess you could say teacher too.... Take care stay healthy.... Don't forget to wear your rubbers................. When it's raining

      @speeddrivenrc3477  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with you completely! I’m not a big fan of the battery connectors for you can’t get bigger batteries unless you solder on new plugs and get a new charger
